Best Oil

This place just plain sucks. First of all the customer service is really crappy. The driver just rolled up and seemed to be annoyed that I was there. Then he spilled oil in my basement. I called them to leave a message about the spilled oil hoping for a return call. They don’t give a crap. I will never use them again and I would recommend you find another company. I’m still pissed about the oil being spilled.

Unbelievably terrible customer service. On the delivery day, I needed to fix a water leak and make a run to the store about 10 blocks from home. I communicated this to the owner/​operator named Mike since I had a 4-​hour delivery window and requested a courtesy call when he was on his way so I could make sure to be home. Instead I received a call while I’m headed home from a very disgruntled man asking me why I’m not answering my front door. I tell him I’m about 2 stop lights away and will be home in about a minute and a half but I don’t know what he heard since he hung up on me. I’ve never seen a grown man mope around so much while on the job, let alone a business owner despite me trying to smooth things over with an apology and $ 404 dollars worth of business.
Since being as rude as possible wasn’t enough for him it turns out that he snapped the tank’s plug apart when he opened it in what I can assume was a tantrum. Instead of informing me (at the VERY least), he shoved the receipt in my direction with a grunt. I assumed he wanted a signature which I provided as quick as possible in order to end this miserable human interaction. He left the plug laying next to the open fill pipe exposed to the dirt and rain without saying a word.
I left a message several days ago and held off in writing anything to give him a chance to at least respond or tell me where to buy a new one but nothing.
Do yourself a favor and go with another company. 1^st call heating was a couple cents cheaper but were booked out a couple days. Other companies I called were in the same ballpark.

Ordered oil for our 675 gallon tank. The man that answered the phone was very extremely insistent on knowing the exact amount that the tank would take, I gave him an approximate measurement that I took in June, 50 gallons in the tank. When the delivery finally came, a day later than promised, he insisted that he was told 600 gallons and that was all he would deliver. What business, especially an oil business that makes more money by pumping more, would refuse to completely fill the tank? One that doesn’t give a damn and is destined to go out of business! I have already called another company and will be getting my tank filled the rest of the way, for the same gallon price!

Just ordered 100 gallons of heating oil and the service was great.
First of all, they have EZ online ordering, works great! A few minutes after our online order was completed, I got a call from the driver/​owner. We agreed on the time, which was the next afternoon. At 1:30pm, the huge truck showed up and the oil was loaded to our tank. Everything was perfect.
Best Oil offers the option of credit card or cash, I paid cash cause that way you get a lower price.
I checked the local heating oil prices in advance, so I know we got a great price. Will definitely return to Best Oil for more!
Love the fact that this is a one man operation… and his truck!

Mike is great! They are fast and email ordering works well for us. Their prices are on point or many times less than Discount and First Call so yay for that!
