The chairs are comfy and its a nice place to relax when you’re exhausted waiting for a flight that has been delayed for another X hours. Complimentary beer and drinks are nice as well as the soda if you’re craving some sugar. Not much choice of food besides crackers and some kind of soup which I did not bother to check. All in all a nice place to relax. Beats waiting near the gates.

Clean, quiet and above all, friendly at the perfect price. The Alaska Boardrooms are consistently clean with well maintained fixtures and furniture. Portland is no exception. While smaller than some other locations with room for you to relax or spread out and work. What they lack in free booze, they much up for with all smiles serving a variety of good beers, not just that Coors and Miller nonsense, assorted wines and good snacks of soups, sandwiches, trail mix, salad and cheese. Room to spread out A baker’s dozen, leatherette chairs face a TV with sports or news at a polite volume. Another 20 seats are in the café area and beyond that, a more quiet space with computers and a meeting room or two. I know you want to know how you can get it. There’s the Boardroom membership for $ 450 a year or if you’re an AmEx Platinum card holder, it’s free through Priority Pass. Need more options? How about shared privileges with AA Admirals Club membership or their citi Executive card? With so many ways to get in, you should be here too.

One of the least interesting lounges I’ve been to. A swarm of locusts must have moved through here a few minutes before we walked in because they are out of everything. Bummer

i have used this twice in the last couple of weeks. once for breakfast and once for lunch. well not really for the meals, but was there at those times… pretty limited selection of food. and a tiny area compared to some of the delta lounges i have been in. Staff was very quiet, not one talked to me, or asked me how I was doing. lots of plugins, and easy internet.

A tiny Board Room with a great staff. Light snacks, even with soup, will not suffice for dinner. Beer and wine are complimentary and served by the same staff that greets you at the front door. They do not announce flights, so its a good idea to keep your eye on the board or your phone to see if there are any changes for gates or departure times. Chairs are packed tightly together, almost guaranteeing you will be seated closed to strangers, and closely at that. Will stop by when passing through again.

Absolutely no food choice, except for celery and carrot sticks, salad, hard boiled eggs, apples and cookies. But not bad selection of wine and beer: three different reds, two whites and even local sparkling. Espresso machine. Soft drinks. For lunch they served soup. For breakfast they have a pancake machine which they turn off at 11am and you can’t switch it on even at 11:15, the old weird lady who works there told me when I intended to do so. They have computers, printer and Xerox, so you can work there and feel comfortable. But bring your own food.

Okay for an airport lounge. You can find quieter more empty corners in the airport. I expect a little more for an Alaskan Airlines lounge that has PDX as a major hub.

Very disappointing. Of all the Alaska Boardrooms — this one doesn’t measure up. Too small. Crowded. Same snacks month after month. Nothing special or welcoming beyond the smile at the desk. Don’t think the issue is the staff, but a lack of corporate commitment to its Portland frequent fliers who invest in membership.

First, the good: free food! free drinks! free wifi! The bad: the food is always cold snacks and are average at best. The alcoholic drinks are limited to wine and beer and there’s a limit of 2 or 3 per visit. Many of the chairs show hard signs of wear. Staff is relatively attentive but the board room is rarely fully clean and litter picked up. If you’ve made your rounds with lounges, this is going to disappoint, even for a domestic lounge. Considering PDX is one of Alaska’s two major hubs, I expect a lot more. I come here because I have complimentary entry, I don’t know how if I could manage to convince myself to pay ~$ 50 for a sub-par lounge experience.

Unlimited drinks including alcohol, but the selection is limited(just a few beer and wine types). Food was… Just snacks(pretzels, crackers, cheese, chips, etc) Chairs were worn and in general the lounge is a bit cramped. Main positive was that the receptionists were very friendly. If youre wanting a real meal, I’d go elsewhere before stopping here.

The staff is always pleasant and this is more of a judgement call against the board room. Why are there children here and people with fake service dogs? This is supposed to be a quiet haven away from the riff raff to rest and do some quiet business. Now it is more like a daycare or after school program with sullen teens making graveyard mixes like they are at ampm. For all the things that Alaska has taken away from customers, I always imagined this as the latest bastion of peace and decency. Apparently it has joined the no blanket, minimum service, lousy food ethos of the rest of this once terrific airline.

As I entered the lounge I was just thinking to myself how friendly people were in Portland. I travel on business frequently and up until that moment this was the friendliest people I’ve met. Until I had the pleasure of interacting with the desk clerk. I was rudely told my Airpass Admiral Lounge access was not honored as they did not honor AA access«through» things. I was abruptly cut off as I tried to explain. I asked for her to try to look up my membership but she said she could not. Confused, as I never encountered this problem before, I looked up the rules on the AA lounge website. The website clearly states that Airpass with Admiral Lounge privileges has access to Alaska Airlines Boardroom. Alaska Airlines please retrain your employees! If you too are treated rudely, may I suggest the Mexican restaurant near gate C22… Excellent margaritas.

I love the complimentary beverages, AND no tipping policy. Plus, the complimentary food offerings are generous. The only reason I didn’t give5 stars is due to the lack of power stations around the seating. They are awkwardly placed by the windows in between some seating. There are none available in the mid lounge area.

My thanks to a coworker who flagged me down and got me in to the somewhat hidden Board Room here in PDX. I was quite early to the airport, and we had a chance to sit down, nosh some cheese and crackers, and chat after a couple of intense days of meetings. This is a pretty basic setup – a few places to lounge, a few places for privacy, and a few snacking options. You can also grab a beverage from the soda machine, coffee, or some adult beverage(beer/wine?) if you want to take a load off and sip while looking out onto the tarmac. Also, you know that animal cracker? Not the pink and white frosted ones, I’m talking about the brown ones. I could swear they had a jar of those to choose from, but now, post-travel haze, I can’t say for sure if they did. Honestly, it’s not about the food here, because it’s clearly not that memorable. But just having *something* to snack on is terrific. It’s comfy. Not cushy at all, but it beats the rows and rows of hard seating at the gates.

Gosh, it sounds so damn snotty to give an «A-OK» review to an airport lounge with free food and drink options, but if you’ve done the lounge circuit you’ll agree that this one is simply average at best. I will say that it was nice to have this lounge right next to my gate after being delayed for 3+ hours — easily accessible and an effortless check-in process with my Amex/Priority Pass. The food can be best described as «snacky» with some assorted cheeses, a soup and stuff like that. If you want a real meal, I suggest hitting any of the great food options that have popped up around the PDX airport, but the Board Room is a suitable option if you’re looking for a little nibble. The«bar» is nothing more than a small window and your options here are very stripped down if you’re a particular drinker. Think basics here… beer, wine and maybe a spirit or two. Nothing fancy and don’t expect your favorite glass of bubbly or imported Scotch. All in all, this place gets the job done and is a far better option than sitting in the terminal, but in the lounge world it’s a peaked high school athlete with no chance of ever making the pros.

4 stars for friendly and accommodating staff! They are very nice here; nicer than SeaTac where it is hit/miss on friendliness and professionalism. It’s just sad the quality and options of snacks have gone so far downhill over the years. When they put the watery prison soup out, they have to ‘pull’ the cheese away. Like one snack at a time based on what time you get here!!! The saving grace is that if you ask nicely for something, they will often give it to you. Alaska corporate needs to rethink these board rooms and the offerings. Other than a more quiet place than the chaos of the terminals and a cleaner place to use the bathroom, there just isn’t much here. Hey Alaska, if you are reading this — raise the price of membership and bring the snacks back! This is the lowest cost club lounge out there… Really!

eh. or «Meh» as Unilocal loves to say. service was friendly but hard to find, internet was quite slow and food offerings were pretty lame. soup(which wasn’t as good as I had hoped) and a weird pancake machine, with some fairly old carrots and celery with ranch dressing were the food options. lots of crackers were out so perhaps cheese was added later? for drinks you had a good soda selection, but only wine and beer(and champagne) for alcohol. fairly small space but enough seating for everyone. not a bad option, if you aren’t paying for the visit, but nothing to write home about.

You had me at the«Make your own Starbucks» machine! The«Toast your own bagels» with all of the toppings, cake donuts, and«Make your own pancakes» stations are all very cool(and don’t apply to me), but the hard boiled eggs and fruit were a pleasant surprise! This lounge is fairly small, but has everything you need from wifi and plugs for charging to comfortable seats and plenty of food. There is no bottled water, but luckily I brought my own bottle to fill with water from the fountain drink station. Front desk staff was polite and helpful!

Alaska hands-down by far best airlines and they have the best boardrooms. I suppose I could go on and on and gush but I don’t think I need to. Their customer service rocks, their pilots rock, as do their flight attendants. Nuff Said.
