Over the last few weeks my car has been leaking a substantial amount of water onto the front passenger floor. I’d been having trouble finding anyone to even diagnose the problem, let alone fix it. Until, that is, I called Jimmie at Action Auto Glass. He took a look at my car the same day I called him about the leak, and then went ahead and fixed the issue, which had nothing to do with my windshield. They didn’t even charge me. I highly recommend Action Auto Glass! The service was excellent!

My rear and passenger windows got smashed in and I took my car in the next morning. They worked everything out with my insurance and got my windows replaced in just a few hours. Could not have asked for any better service or quality, especially at such a competitive price. They had the cheapest quote of the 3 places I contacted in the surrounding area.

Just had my windshield chip fixed for free, within half an hour of bringing the car in… these guys are awesome.

Recently completed the trip down the ALCAN Highway from Alaska. Along the way I managed to accumulate a couple rock chips in the windshield.
I came across Action Auto Glass on the Unilocal App. There are several reasons behind their excellent rating. The gentlemen taking care of your windshield needs are very friendly, professional, and best of all they don’t charge for rock chip repairs!

Super friendly people (well, guys)! I drove where with Chippy, the massive dent on my windshield, on a Wednesday afternoon to see how much it would set me back to introduce epoxy to Chippy. Jimmie said that it would cost zero cents to get that done but they didn’t have availability until the next morning. Not cost me zero but they would bill my insurance but completely gratis.
I came the next day and Jimmie wasn’t there. Walt was there and just as friendly as Jimmie. I offered to buy them lunch or a coffee and he politely refused. Chippy still says hi to me whenever the sun is out but he hasn’t grown any thanks to Action. Great work and friendly service, what more can you ask for?

Quick, affordable and friendly. Everything you need after unfortunately finding your car window smashed out one morning. I appreciated their service and would recommend them if you ever need a window replaced!

Action did a repair of a big chip/​crack in our windshield, and we couldn’t be happier with their service!
We seem to accumulate windshield chips and cracks regularly, and have dad many repairs over the years by many shops. Action was, by far, the best service and the best work we have ever had. They were fast, conscientious, friendly, and the work was outstanding. A complicated quarter-​sized bulls-​eye chip with additional cracks has almost disappeared. They did it in 15 minutes while I waited. The biggest surprise was that it was free!
We will never go anywhere else for any auto glass work we’ll ever need in Portland — this is the only place we need!

Wow! It’s so rare to encounter truly exceptional customer service & Jimmy exemplifies just that. I commute to Salem from Portland everyday — a mind-​numbingly awful experience, at best, but a borderline tragedy when a very large rock (flying off of one of the many freaking semis) hits your windshield in the midst of a crappy-​why-​am-​stuck-​behind-​the-​guy-​going-​7-​miles-​under-​the-​speed-​limit-​in-​the-​left-​lane morning commute. I was in denial and refusing to deal, but knew that it needed to be handled stat. I took my Mazda in for a service at Tonkin, and they informed me that they use Action Auto Glass for all their glass work — they also informed me that my stupid rain & collision sensing windshield (thus far, useless and undesirable features on an otherwise awesome vehicle) would likely cost over $ 1000 to replace (I have no glass rider on my stupid insurance) — not an option. To buy some time while I figured stuff out, I decided to give Action Auto a visit on my way home (they are in my beloved SE). Not only did Jimmy fix the chip in 15 minutes flat, but he also assured me that, because I came so quickly after the incident, it was unlikely that I would have to replace the windshield anytime soon. AND, he did it all for free. I was, literally, speechless (rare). He’s racking up some serious good karma points, and he talked this Type A girlie off a ledge ;) Kudos to Jimmy. What a rare and wonderful experience these days. When the time comes to replace said windshield (hopefully no time soon), no doubt I will head to Action Auto Glass. Another big bonus is the super-​awesome Goodwill across the street…

I got an appointment the same day I called. My side window was replaced in under an hour, and it cost $ 110 less than Safelite quoted me. What more can I say. It sucked that someone broke into my car, but it would have sucked even more to overpay to have the window replaced. It pays (and is VERY easy) to call around and get a quote! Though I did notice that they did not do a good job vacuuming up all the broken glass in my car seat and on the floor – there are tiny flecks of glass all over.

I was dismayed this morning to see someone had smashed the rear, passenger window of mr car. I called Action Auto Glass for an estimate and they had me scheduled for the same afternoon with a very reasonable price for parts and install. They even vacuumed my part. Wonderful, wonderful business!

Called these guys an hour before showing up. They fixed the rock chip in my windshield in under 20 minutes and did so free of charge! Awesome customer service, awesome work. I’ll be back any time we need any glass work done on any of our vehicles. Glad there are pro’s out there who know how to treat their customers and retain business, especially in the automotive space.

I recently purchased a car from Speed Sports. When I made the purchase we agreed my wind shield would be replaced. I know its not factory made and I was cool with that. The after market wind shield looks identical. I was worried something would be off just a little. They did an amazing job no extra noises, looks flush all the way around. I am very pleased with the work and time frame. I would definitely refer anyone of my friends to this place for a new wind shield. Thanks !!!

Got a rock chip on I-​5 the other day and called around to find a quote for $ 40. Decided to keep looking and found this local shop who fixed my chip like new in only 15 mins! Best part was the price: FREE! Highly recommend this place!
Update: got my car broken into just weeks after my recent post. Took it here since they fixed my last repair for free. They were speedy and affordable so still giving them 5 stars.

Referred here by my dealer for repairing a broken side mirror. They gave helpful advice about getting a used part, which I did, and then they replaced it for free. They also noticed and filled a rock chip in the windshield, also gratis. Friendly interactions throughout.

I took my car into Action Auto Glass two days ago and was overwhelmed by Jimmy and his great service! The car has been leaking water into the passenger side this rainy season. I thought it might be a windshield seal but Jimmy spent about a half hour taking apart the channeling system and found a clogged drain hole.
Problem solved, accept he would not let me pay him! Thank you Jimmy and we will come to you when we need new windshields. I also recommended you to a friend already too!

I was referred by my Toyota dealer to fix a broken rear window defroster on our 2005 Prius which potentially required a new rear window, costing approximately $ 500 plus installation if we ordered the replacement window from Toyota. When i called and talked to Jimmie, he suggested I come in and have him look at it, as he’d been able to solder the broken connection on several Prius’s as a minor repair in lieu of replacement. A few days later I was in the waiting room as the problem was looked at, and I overheard some friendly interactions with other happy customers, one paying a bill of just $ 25 for some work (on a mirror I think). About half an hour later Jimmie came and told me he’d been able to solder the connection, and that there would be no charge. If the window had to be replaced, he’d told me my cost would have been less than $ 400 for the cost of a replacement window plus installation. Based on my experiences here, I’d return if I needed auto glass work in the future and would happily refer friends to this business.

Been meaning to write this for a few weeks now. I went here mid week at around 9 am to have a windshield chip repair done. I was greeted warmly by Jimmie and asked him if he could fix the chip and how long it would take. He looked at the windshield and said he could do it right then and it would take 10 minutes. His answer took me by surprise because in the past I’ve had repairs like this take up to 30 minutes and cost $ 100 easy. Of course that was in Texas. Anyway, true to his word, in ten minutes he was done and I couldn’t even find the spot where the damage occurred. He then surprised me again by saying there was no charge. Damn! Totally made my day! I thanked Jimmie several times for the great customer service and went on my way.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs repairs done.

I stopped in without an appointment to see about getting the back panel of my Ford Explorer glued back on. Jimmie took care of it immediately and didn’t even charge me! Top notch guy and a top notch experience.

I came here based on the recommendations of a shop that works on my truck. They said Jimmie would take care of me. Well he certainly did. Though it took a bit longer than I expected, the quality of the work and Jimmie not letting the truck go till the curing time was done is what should happen.
I’ve been quicker places in the past and can’t say I left happy. Here not only did I leave happy, I’m still happy. And though it took a while I brought a book, checked out a gluten free bakery around the corner, visited the Goodwill a couple of streets away. All in all not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning. Not only would I recommend Action Auto Glass and Jimmie to anyone I will come here again if i need glass work. And the wife would probably come too just to spend a few hours in the Goodwill!

I must start out by saying the reason I took my car to Action Auto Glass was due to the Unilocal reviews! I wanted something close to downtown where I work and was finding a lot of bad reviews.
I called around to a few different places including one recommended by my insurance company. I did get a lower quote, but the reviews were horrible and the one recommended by insurance was higher. Also, Jimmie offered to take me to work and pick me up, which I thought was great!
I got there early at 7am and he was there and ready to go. As soon as everything was done I received a phone call and was picked up exactly when I’d asked to be. The people were very nice and I was told if I ever got a chip in my new windshield they would fill it for free.
I really appriciate a small local business that has good customer service and wants to take care of their customers!
