I was a visitor of this locale when it was Sisina and then Gropello. Unfortunately the Gropello owner didn’t understand that heat was required in the Winter and Air Conditioning in the Summer. Visited this new locale one week after it opened. Pretty inside but all of the tables were shoved to one side in the hopes it might be warmer further away from windows which is the whole point of a water view location. No one greeted us and when we said something about the heat to a waiter and/or busboy we were told the glass was too thin. Others were sitting in the restaurant with coats on. The menu looked good, albeit on the higher side for prices, but under the circumstances we couldn’t stay without heat. Would love to try again but not without heat. Not good for an opening week. Hope it improves as it is a good location.

The food and the owners are FANTASTIC!!! And the place is So Cool looking. John, they have several Peruvian options, I’ve had the Ceviche and Tiradito and the Arroz con Pollo and all were great. From what I understand, NIKKEI of Peru features Japanese food as it would be prepared in Peru, using the spices and sauces from Peru. This place will be «the place» for locals. You can feel it. Lina and Asa are Amazing!!!

Initial thoughts: * They just opened, they still have to work out the kinks * They have an identity crisis, this is supposedly Peruvian/Japanese, but feels like Japanese to me. White rice, miso soup, salad, everything felt Japanese. Shrimp tempura was very good. Scallops were great, but they were cold, yes they were cooked, should have been hot. Rib Eye was way over cooked and didn’t even taste like ribeye, big disappointment. Service was medicore.
