Came with a large party, was quickly seated. Service was generally good, but needed to ask to keep waters filled. I recommend the specialty rolls, we ordered the port Washington, Godzilla, Dee, and Unicorn and they were all very good — nice food selection. Slightly noisy ambiance, but generally clean. Star deducted because it took a pretty long time to get our food, even with about half capacity. Would recommend for tasty rolls.

It’s always a great experience here. They have a lot of consistency– in food quality and waitstaff. And prices are a smidgeon less than other sushi places of similar quality. I love coming here.

This is my favorite place to get sushi in Port Washington! The waitresses are so friendly and helpful. The fish is always fresh. They also allow you to order for delivery online, which is really convenient.

I tried Aiko with my sister for lunch last week. It was our first time there. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and they have a great variety of sushi options for lunch. I had a shrimp avocado roll and spicy salmon roll with a side of salad… Both rolls were tasty, but nothing crazy special as far as the ginger dressing and spicy dressing in the roll. I definitely will go back to try other rolls since they’re conveniently located near my house.

I usually order sushi from here for lunch about twice a month, Today decided to have their Lemongrass Chicken dish which was inedible! There were chard’s of pointy lemongrass(bamboo like texture) which supposed to be fished out after cooking with. I couldn’t eat more than half of the dish because of all the splinters hidden in my food. I returned to this establishment with the evidence only to be told«this is they WE make it» and we’re not doing anything else for you!!! I told them this will be my last visit and they didn’t seem to care! Diners, beware of a restaurant who don’t care about their loyal customers. There are no shortage of Sushi restaurants here in Port Washington, sooner or later these behaviors will catch up with them!

I’ve been enjoying sushi for a long time and the Sushi and Sashimi at Aiko is I the freshest and best presented I’ve seen in Port Washington. The restaurant is not traditional Japanese in that the the sushi and sashimi are sculpted and presented by a true artist. Ben, the head sushi Chef is a real natural at mixing and matching flavors and textures. Even his brother Jack, another sushi chef from Westchester way, yields to him. Don’t discount Jack! He’s the one that’s up early every morning at the wholesale fish market getting the freshest fish for Ben to slide and arrange in remarkable ways. Seriously, try Aiko, you will not be disappointed. Most of the fish in hand is pretty standard, but it is the freshest you will find and both its presentation and mélange of flavors will be a new experience. And for the Experts — call Jack request some Mirugai, Agi or anything else you wish and he will have it there for you, ready for Ben to sculpt and mix into something remarkable.

There is usually a pretty decent coupon situation if you pick up the menu. The food is above average, and I have never had a negative experience. I used to come in for the lunch specials when I was single. The main draw for me is that they have a cool bar area with LED lights that makes for a cool ambiance. Also, they have a TV above the bar that usually has the news. I’ll never forget I was having lunch here, and watching the news at the bar, when I first heard that Spock(Leonard Nimoy) died. Ever since then, I have had an attachment to this place. With a ton of competition nearby, this place does a pretty good job. There are two other sushi places within walking distance. I usually order the spicy maki combo from most places. This place has a less expensive version compared to the other places in town. But, instead of 3 spicy tuna/salmon rolls one of them is a spicy shrimp roll. This is the first time I ever saw a shrimp roll in a spicy maki combo but I actually like it. The staff/service are very average. They are not particularly friendly but not bad either. Also, Everything is super clean. Important when serving raw fish.

Tried aiko tonight on the suggestion of a friend for local sushi. Overall pretty delicious sushi and sashimi and super friendly welcoming service. their special rolls are creative and prices are very reasonable. Not a super fancy place and doesn’t hold a candle to Poke on the upper east side from a taste perspective, but as the sages say, when in Rome(Tokyo?). In any case, will surely return, super convenient, right near the train, for eat in or pickup on the way home after a long day at work. Did not have a drink but bar was lively with several happy hour pairs enjoying a cocktail and sushi.

Excellent food. Sushi is fresh and a lot of creative and beautifully presented rolls. Main courses are very good. The best deal is to come for the happy hour at the bar. Lisa the bartender is great — attentive and fast. Table service is OK — they need to perk up and at least appear happy to be there. Overall excellent place for good food and a great happy hour.

The food is very fresh. I love the sashimi and sushi. Very nice atmosphere and I get takeout a lot from here. Some of the waitresses are not very polite. They are ride and condescending

I started going back here in the last couple of months and have been impressed by the quality of fish. I’m not sure if they have a new owner or something, but I’m so happy to order from Aiko or stop by for a meal.

I liked this place when it was Rock-n-Sake, so I figured that I would like the new version, too. Upon entering, it didn’t seem like they had changed much of the décor. The key difference is that the music was significantly lower. My friend and I were actually able to hear each other during our conversation. The food, though, I wasn’t crazy about. There isn’t much on the menu other than sushi for a vegetarian to eat. Not even something as simple as vegetable or tofu teriyaki, which is what I was craving at the time. I was quite disappointed. The miso soup and vegetable tempura I ended up getting was nothing special. Service was alright. My friend and I were the only people in the place(other than staff) for most of our meal, but it took a while to order and get water. All in all, I don’t think I’d come back here to eat. Maybe to drink, though.

I’ve really been trying to acclimate myself to the world of sushi and really wish that there is a place that teaches the world of Sushi and Sashimi. having visited several places with friends, i still am trying to discover the different types. With Aiko Sushi & Bar being in town, one evening i decided i’d give this place a try and see how the experience would be. With a trendy décor and a cool atmosphere, i was expecting(or hoping, at least) for a friendlier experience. Simply put, i asked for advice on what one may recommend or suggest, and the answer was vague, «everything is good». The menu has a lot to offer, so it only confused me more. On to the menu, several options were ordered for a group take-out, which consisted of a Bento Box B(Teriyaki Shrimp and a substituted Spicy Mango Shrimp Roll), Thunder Roll, and an order of california roll along with some Teriyaki Shrimp. Overall, the food quality was decent and the portion sizes were not only priced reasonable, but quite satisfying. The teriyaki shrimp, california roll, as well as the Bento Box options stood out for the group. ***On a side note, a 15% discount is being offered at present***

As an avid Japanese culture fan and foodie I’d have to you could find better Japanese food in this area. A few of the soy sauce places came out dirty and the vegetable tempura was unidentifiable(and the potato didn’t really have flavor) It might’ve just been because it was a busy Friday night but it was still a disappointing experience for me. Perhaps it may be more accepted by the Western sushi customer but for the same price range I’d choose another restaurant in this town.
