Finally stopped for dinner after passing it by for years. They had many specials with an average price of $ 20+. I saw someone eating ribs which was one of the dinner specials and was very disappointed when they told me they were out of them. what the heck, it was only 6:00 pm! How do you run out of food at 6 pm? I overheard my server tell another table that they only had 1 left of an item they wanted? I ended up ordering a grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was so plump. filled with water. The texture was nasty. it reminded me of eating at a fast food place. the kaiser roll was too soft and doughy. french fries had no flavor. My husband had fish and chips which he said was very good(excluding the fries). I told the server as she was clearing my plate and she said she would bring me a piece of fish(I don’t eat fish) so I declined. she gave me a prewrapped brownie to take home. trying to make us happy. The restaurant is decorated with key west flare and was cozy. my server was busy and didn’t get over to us often so I had to ask another server for help 2 times. Based on the prices and my experience, I would not go back unless my husband really had to have fish & chips.

Just found this gem. Food, service and atmosphere are all excellent. I would urge all people who are local or visiting to try it, you’ll love the homemade cooking.

If you like bland, tasteless food than this is the place for you! Do not understand the good reviews for this place, must be paid for or fake. We ordered black bean soup and have never had such black goop ever. Needed hot sauce, pepper, salt, red onions, etc. Must be a favorite among the certain crowd of PSL who don’t know good food. Blackened/blue burger was seasoning thrown on top of burger served with cold Blue Cheese crumbles on top of a well done burger that was ordered medium. Just another PSL diner, with a cook who doesn’t know what he/she is doing. Here in PSL you can serve sh** on a shingle and people love it.

I’ve eaten here four times and all four times it was consistently good, homemade food. Super sweet wait staff that really make you feel at home. Great selections on the menu, from spaghetti and meatballs to shepherd’s pie to chicken wings. It’s hard to find good food in PSL, as I’m sure you can see on Unilocal.Go to the cottage, it won’t be a disappointment.

Great wraps, the homemade onion rings were great. The key lime pie was amazing. Great little place, I would have to say, «I love this place»

After driving around trying to find a place to eat, I finally decided on Cottage Grill. Sat down looked at the menu but was disappointed that it was only Beer and Wine. Not a big deal but was in the mood for a cocktail. I ordered what I thought was a wrap(since it was called«Chicken Wrap») but what I got was a chicken panini. I asked for the menu again thinking that they made a mistake. No I just read it wrong –it said Chicken something?? WRAP and then in the description it said«lightly grilled«NOT what I expected. You know how you see something on the menu and then can’t wait to get it only to be disappointed. Well that’s how I felt. The sandwich was very good and the server Chris was very good. I was going to SDK for another napkin but there was Chris walking over with another one before having to ask. I can tell there are a lot of regular customers which is nice to see and if I lived in the area I would probably go at least once a week. Since I have business in the area and stay close by I will definitely be back.

This is our«go to» place for a reasonably priced delicious meal. The turkey soup is to die for. Great burgers too. The staff are very friendly and the food is always wholesome and filling. We usually take half of our meal home for lunch. My wife loves the steamed cabbage!

Evening out with the in-laws. We were all so stuffed off the fantastic food that we had no room for dessert. Fun atmosphere, relaxing. Excellent onion rings and some of the best fish and chips!

The reviews on Unilocal are better then the food itself. Staff is wonderful but the food review is over rated. Bring it down folks and keep it real.

Moscato Raywood vinyards calf wine to start. This wine has a sweet apple flavor. I tried gazpaco for the first time tonight. Then it is their fried Hadock with lots of vegetables. This was a really good meal, I have to put this place in my favorites

Food was overpowered with garlic. Could not eat it and it turned my stomach. Would not take the charge off of my bill even though it was clear that I had only 2 bites gone. Instead, they offered me a free desert. I tried to explain that I could not eat anything because my stomach was now in knots. Service was slow and we were never offered refills on our drinks. I will NOT be back. Usually I allow 2 – 3 bad experiences before writing off a restaurant, not this one.

I was surprised, the food is good and the portions are large. The prices are right on the mark, our waitress was very attentive to the table and very nice. If you’re undecided to go somewhere for the evening you can’t go wrong here.

This place was so unexpectedly awesome! We went in at about 3:30 and most of the booths had people at them, but service was quick and friendly! The menu had lots of different things to choose from, including a few specialty dishes. I got a taco salad & my boyfriend got the daily special which was a baked mac’n cheese with veggies in it. We both also had bowls of gazpacho soup, which was delicious. The food had a great presentation as well! I also ordered a root beer float, which wasn’t on the menu, but the waitress made me one and was awesome about it :) We will definitely be back — a new favorite place in Port Saint Lucie!

I have been to the Cottage Grill, several times. Lunch is a wonderful experience. Their daily Specials Are Worth Trying. Atmosphere is semi casual. The place looks small, yes. Probably due to being situated on a large parking lot. Never a problem with finding a parking space :) Don’t hesitate, to try this place. The food is EXCEPTIONAL! The Staff/Service is OUTSTANDING! And the Chef/s, Creations, OMG! To my Surprise and Delight, the mouthwatering Desserts are prepared by, a one of their in house Staff. Who happened to also provide the Waiting Service. For our table. Everything is very well coordinated. A well run establishment. Prices are mid range. Definitely, WELLWORTHTRYING! They also serve Dinner. Hope you get an OPPORTUNITYTOTRY, their Yellow Peas and Ham Soup. YES, YELLOWPEAANDHAMSOUP!(No Typo,)Was informed location. Prepared, Fresh on the Premises! ENJOY!

The reason the parking lot is always full at The Cottage is because it is a GREAT place to eat! The food is delicious. Homemade and fresh. I wish I could pick just one thing to rave about — but there are just so many truly great selections. The brisket is melt in your mouth good, the liver & onions is so much better than your mother ever made(sorry mom!) and the hamburgers are always just right. The homemade soups are served with everything — how cool is that?! I can’t begin to list everything! But, did I mention the pickled beets? Bob shared how he makes them — but why risk trying when I can get them at The Cottage! So much for the food — let’s talk about the owners and staff. There couldn’t be a nicer bunch of people. They make you feel like family. You have to try this place — it’s the best!
