Stopped in Friday for the AUCE Lake Perch, What a treat, Service was a little slow but well worth the wait. The boiled reds skins that came with the meal where cooked and seasoned just right and the asparagus and carrots cooked perfect. Clam chowder could still use a little work. But for the Perch I think it’s the best in the Thumb that I have had so far.

This is a private golf course that is open to the public, both for golf and dining. They are open in season for lunch and supper. Best to call ahead for dining room hours. Food is consistently good quality. The view of the course from the dining room is beautiful. Clientele tend to be older, but children are welcome. Good place to have a meeting or private party. As for the golf, it’s an 18 hole course with the front 9 being relatively new, yet very nicely landscaped, and the back 9 being the original, much older course. Short but challenging. You should call for a tee time as there are league nights and member only events that may preclude you from golfing. carts are available, but the slope isn’t so steep that you can’t walk it. Snakes: Probably Not. Quicksand: Yes Best best to find lost balls? Play right after a league. Price for golf, best deal around!
