Norris’s Famous Place For Ribs

Way better than I thought it would be! My friend and I were looking for a late lunch/​early dinner place in PSL, and came across Norris because of a coupon in the Entertainment Book.
We decided to go for the early bird (3 – 5:30pm — no coupons accepted) because the meals are cheaper than dinner and come with two sides. Ok, and because it was almost 4pm and we were starving!
So we walk in to an almost empty restaurant (not surprising — it was 4pm…) that was last decorated in the 70s. I was a little concerned, based on the dive-​y look of the place. However, I was really pleasantly surprised! Our waitress was delightful and the food was really quite good.
My friend and I both got the half baby back rib combo. She got a salad that was large and really fresh, I got a really excellent New England clam chowder to begin. Like, big chunks of clam and great flavor.
We both really enjoyed our baby back ribs. They were very tender, had a great char on the outside, and were nice and meaty. I really liked the BBQ sauce as well — it had a fruity note that was pretty darn good.
While the food wasn’t the absolute I ever had, I thought it was definitely good enough to go back to again. It was reasonably priced, as well. I hope that my next experience is as good, and not as horrible as some of the previous reviews.
