Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

They don’t seem to cater to kids !! Wait is way to long even when we are only here with one other table in afternoon! Took 10 minutes to make shakes!

This was my first time here and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Everything is made fresh and will take a little longer, but it is worth the extra time to hand make your burgers, cut the fries, and cut and dip the onion rings. The buns are exceptionally soft.

For our second visit, my partner ordered «chicken cordon blue.» It was a lump of hard chicken cutlet with partially melted cheese between two pieces of toast. The toast at least was edible.
If you go I would suggest you stick to burgers, which are edible. The onion rings are excellent and the fries are good.
The brownie sundae is big enough to be shared and is very good.

Decent burgers and delicious custard. I’ve eaten to go here twice now. Takes a little longer than your average McDonald’s but the quality is better. The burgers aren’t huge, but they are definitely larger than fast food. The custard is SO good. Was just talking to a friend about this, he refused to try because he thought custard was gross… he changed his mind quick! Taste very similar to ice cream!

This is our first and last experience. Went online to look at the menu for a take out order. Called to place order. The girl said «could you hold for 5 minutes?» I said «what, wait 5 minutes for what?» She said she was ringing up another customer’s order. I was on hold for about 30 seconds when she came back to take my order… SMH.
Ordered an Andy’s Bacon Double Cheeseburger, Shrimp Burger with cheese, and an order of fries. Bacon Double Cheeseburger had no bacon. Shrimp Burger had no cheese and it was a very small sandwich with very few little popcorn shrimp. My husband said the cheeseburger was good and the fries were good, the shrimp burger was not good. I have no idea how much each item cost because there are no prices on the online menu and no breakdown of each item on the receipt. What I do know is that it wasn’t worth the $ 16.48 we paid for it.

Food and service was excellent! Burgers are awesome!!! Highly recommend going! The atmosphere is like out of the 50’s, great music and waitress was very friendly.

Not sure about the past reviews, but I have to say that when you can get a better burger, milk shake, and service from Mc Donalds then that says a lot about this place. The milk shakes were warm and runny like water, burgers were breaking apart and over seasoned with tons of salt had to wait along time for service. For only 5 people the bill was.$ 75.00, 5 shakes, a. kids meal, 2 double burgers, burger platter,. Chicken sandwich, and 5 order of fries. It takes me allot to complain but after I called last night and did not hear back today I felt I needed to share my experience. The waiter was not very good either. I hope people have a better experience than I did. I will not be going back.

I will admit, I was very pleasantly surprised by this spot. It’s very close to home, but I was not too interested in going and agreed only to satisfy my husband.
The décor is cute, if not a little cheesy. But kids are sure to love it. The thing I was most impressed with were the extremely reasonable prices for what ended up being a really delicious meal. I had the original special — 7.99 for a large burger with your choice of toppings (there are lots to choose from!) and a drink and fries. My husband had a burger as well and we split my fries and drink. Even though our waitress accidentally charged us for a side we didn’t order, we didn’t notice until we got to our car because our total was less than $ 13 for dinner for two.
I took off one star since we were overcharged. Also, I would never normally bother commenting on a server’s appearance, but in this case, it’s worth noting that management might want to speak to some of their people about professional dress. I’d definitely go back for an inexpensive, delicious burger — maybe for takeout next time.

This place just opened up its clean lot of staff. Looks like they do a lot of carry out. I had the pimento cheese cheeseburger with fries and it was good, everything’s priced very reasonable good selection on the menu to choose from almost like a five guys. We were served quickly food came very quickly no complaints. if you’ve never been to this franchise you should give it a try.
