Love this place! It’s like a second home. The servers are great and the food is always spot on. Try the Pat’s Breakfast Bowl, it will not disappoint.

I do dearly love Pat’s. My daddy used to bring me here when I was a little girl, and he told me that it was a secret place. Which is kind of true. If you don’t know how to already find it, one would never just stumble across it in passing. I love almost everything about this place, starting with the self serve coffee out back while you’re waiting for a table. The picnic tables with the board games, view of the river, everything is sublime… Outdoors. it’s once you get inside, that’s where the action begins. Menu items to make your eyes light up in your tummy say howdy, the servers are longtime employees, and go out of their way to welcome out of town guests. It is my understanding that when the bike events are in town, this place is packed & I know why. Good food at a good price with friendly service. I really like their scramble which is just about everything you can think of thrown into a pan scrambled together served up on a plate with a smile. they also offer a punch card 10 punches and your next meal is free. I had eight punches on a card, and was leaving town. I didn’t think I would be back for years so I gave away the punch card to local. It made his day! Hope to be back soon. PS they lost one star because one morning I was dining with an African American friend, and could sense and almost smell the prejudice & hostility wafting from the server. Even her tone of voice when addressing my PhD in Microbiology dining companion was impatient and frosty. He odered a scramble and she said to him, as if he were a child and as of yet unable to read: «Ah don’t know if you realize this. Everything comes all scrambled together, «. I don’t know if this was an isolated incident, & I hope I never see it here again. I tend to rotate between here and Mikes. After all, breakfast IS the most important meal of the day. And their coffee is fabulous.

A well hidden gem. This was our first trip to Pats but will certainly not be our last. A little hard to find but worth the effort. We were here for breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection. Over easy eggs, perfect. Pancakes light, fluffy and delicious. Home fries just the way I like them, crispy on outside, moist, hot and tender on inside. I just hate we waited so long to discover.

I first want to say I read the reviews and then made my decision to come here. My opinion may not be worth the time it takes to read this, but it seems to me that when one reviews a place the first consideration should be what is this place trying to be. Then I review effort and the product, so using thIs theory I am able to give what I feel are fair ratings across the board, yes it is possible to have a restaurant that has plastic covered tables with mis-matched chairs from every decade in the past fifty years and a kitchen that looks like it came out of fishing camp along the river with a gravel parking lot where cut off shorts and flip flops are the preferred dress code, the same as a swanky bistro in New York City that requires a coat, tie, reservations and mandatory valet parking that serves unrecognizable cuisine that requires a credit line to have dinner. I like both and I can enjoy both equally without being pretentious. Today we came here with the expectation that this was going to be a real treat, a chance to experience that Old Florida Charm. When I turned into the drive it was just as I had hope it to be, yes it was exactly what I described above(the first description). Everything about this place is real, the people, the conversation, the effort, the food, it is transparency at its best. I joked about the coffee when it arrived in what looked like a bowl with a handle on it, after looking around I found there wasn’t a matching cup in the house I think that is so cool. I don’t care if mine came from a thrift store, garage sale or happened to be an old salesman’s prop it was awesome. After looking at the menu I knew I was not going to be eating the standard breakfast chain special here but I also didn’t want to wonder to far from my reality either. The selections are very different in my opinion some may say odd but there are some what would be consider standard fare as well. For me it had to be «Pat’s Bacon Cheese-Burger Omelette» I admit I was a little scared so I omitted the onions and tomato, unbeknown to me at the time I ordered it this is the most popular omelette imagine that and unbelievably delicious. The fresh ground beef is crumbled and grilled then folded into fresh scrambled eggs with pieces of real bacon crumbled with melted Swiss cheese, it was amazing, honestly I could go on and on but you must try one of their unique dishes for yourself, whether it’s fried bologna, chipped beef, or scrabble(I could never be that brave) or a host of others if that’s your thing I am sure it will be a great experience.

Great little place to eat. Service was very friendly. The food was fresh. Hard to see from the road. You have to park and walk around the building. I would recommend all day.

I love breakfast and boy did we enjoy Pat’s! Quaint little local-feel of a place and well worth the stop! Their special selection was above and beyond what you normally see! Dad had the breakfast bowl and the gravy in it was the best I’ve had in memory! The croissant sandwich was eggcelent! Three eggs with choice of meat and cheese was plenty of food and at the right price! I couldn’t get enough of the coffee, it was hot and really tasty! Staff was friendly and great! It will definitely become a regular stop for us when we are in town! I highly recommend you stop by and try it out for yourself!

What is wrong with you people! Omg… have any of you that rated this«diner» any more than 1 star ever eaten anything good! I feel so sorry for you if you think the food there is edible! Seriously horrible! Coffee — no taste, pancakes — no taste, home fries — disgusting! Bacon — grease laiden! Filthy! Hot! Flies! The only thing nice was the waitresses! Do not waste your time or money. And to all of you that go there on a regular basis… please, please, please… go somewhere clean and with good food!

If you had a grandmother that cooked while you ate, then you would love this place. Home cooking and family ambiance a plenty. We had breakfast there and it was delicious. It is a little rustic inside but we loved it. It’s what you would expect to find on the side of a dirt road in central Illinois. Definitely would return

While visiting the Daytona Beach area, we had to come here for breakfast as it was our parents favorite breakfast place. As in the past, we were not disappointed. We had the seafood omelet, vegetarian omelet & eggs, grits & bacon. The food came hot to our table and our coffee cups were constantly refilled. The atmosphere is wonderful, waitresses very friendly, old south comfort décor. We had a wonderful breakfast and reminiscing the good old days eating here with Dad & Mom. We will definitely come back again when visiting this area.

Kinda dirty little place on the river. Went for breakfast. It was basic. Restrooms are disgusting. It’s ok I guess, but you could see they were cooking with Wal-Mart generic«Great Value» ingredients. IDK… not going to go back.

I have been coming here for breakfast for years. Pat’s is in a great location on the water not far from the East side of the Port Orange bridge. It’s a great breakfast and lunch spot. Good food, reasonably priced and always fast, friendly service. One of my favorite hangouts for breakfast. Finding a parking spot can be challenging during peak hours but it’s worth the trouble. While in Daytona on a family vacation, we’ve been trying to look for smaller local places to eat via Unilocal instead of going to the gaggle of pizza joints and fast food places near the hotel. We tried Pat’s Riverfront Café for breakfast one morning and had a great breakfast for very reasonable prices. It is a cash-only place, so remember to bring some. Date: 04⁄06 around 9AM We were able to sit down immediately, although it was surprisingly crowded. The seating area is pretty small, but you can’t beat the ambiance. A tiny building sitting next to a small marina on the intercoastal waterway, and there is some outdoor seating available(picnic tables under a tent). Staff is very friendly and pointed out the specials. They helped each other to keep everyone serviced, and we got our food very quick Ordered: * Scrambler(one of the specials) — 3 eggs with 2 meats and topped with cheese, with homefries and 2 toast. * Ham and Cheese omelet, with grits and toast. * Kids pancake meal(1 pancake, 1 slice bacon + drink) — this was in the shape of Mickey Mouse! * Kids French Toast meal(2 pieces, 1 slice bacon + drink) Coffee + lg OJ + 2 milks Food was great, portion size was just right, everyone was satisfied. Price point is great. Not a fancy place, but had everything we wanted for a vacation meal. It’s a hole-in-the-wall, but as most Unilocalers know, that’s where the real treasures are. In my opinion, there’s a lack of places to eat here that aren’t chains and completely overrun with other travelers, so this was a real find for us. We’ll probably go back next weekend when we come back through.

I’ve been coming to Pat’s for breakfast for years when I’m in Daytona. Definitely a hole-in-the-wall, but with a lot of character. I think the most expensive thing on the menu was the eggs benedict for somewhere around $ 8.99, and the staff is great. Not necessarily the healthy choice, but definitely the right spot if you are burnt out on the touristy restaurants or chains and would rather have a down home meal and rub elbows with the local crowd.
