By far worst service ever. Sat down and waited almost ten minutes just to order drinks. Then we ordered dinner and waited about 45 – 50 minutes for our food to come and that was only after my boyfriend got up to ask. They brought out our food separate and then forgot part of our order so we had to wait for that. They never asked or offered to refill our drinks so we asked for new sodas and they never brought them to us. The food was not good and the couple next to us were complaining about the same problem. They forgot what they ordered that is how long we had to wait. We could not wait to get out of there and had to get up to find someone just to pay our bill because they dropped the check and never came back to pick it up. Never had such bad service and will not be going back.

The burgers are good! Like sitting outside. Staff is very nice! Wine and beer selection is great. Highly recommend there loaded French fries and there stuffed blue cheese burger! Yummy!

Went here today for lunch and had burgers the pizza(ok flavor, not much«pizza» to it other than mozzarella cheese… and two make your own), they were all very good, though we did order rare, and one of the«rare» burgers came out medium. We also had a mac n cheese which was better than most. My big issue with GBB however was we ordered a dessert, fried vanilla ice cream… ate it(was ok) only to have one of our party begin to have an allergic reaction! Apparently unlike every other restaurant that makes fried ice cream with panko they crust theirs with walnuts. And didn’t feel the necessity(like every other restaurant) to note on the menu that the dessert had nuts in it. So our nice afternoon down Port turned into a stressful afternoon of scrambling to get allergy medication and instead of deciding where to wander downtown we decided whether or not to take a trip to the ER. Overall a bit pricey for what it was. Our bill was $ 93 for 3 people. Tl;dr — Put it on the damn menu when you add allergens to foods that normally don’t have them!

We went there last night for the first time. It was awesome! We had the rock shrimp and 3 cheese Mac n cheese for appetizers. The shrimp was a huge portion. They were both delicious! The burgers were cooked perfectly for each of us — mine medium rare and my husband’s medium. He had the bison burger and said it was one of the best he has had. Loved the onion straws too — my husband’s favorite! We will definitely be back.

Small place, sort of a urban/city vibe inside. Not good for big groups or privacy. Very good service though, especially considering it was very busy and a Saturday night. Decent Burgers, the burger itself didn’t blow me away, the toppings, sauces and overall choices /rest of the menu did though. The burgers might actually be slightly too big and could have used a little more seasoning in my opinion. The truffle Parmesean fries were good and so was the burger mac & cheese. Overall good experience, will return to try more on the menu.

We’ve gone 3 times over the last 3 years. Every time the service is friendly and the menu always looks tempting with lots of «oh that sounds great». And they play alternative rock music, which is surprisingly rare in a restaurant. That’s the end of the positives. Most recent visit we started with a large mac and cheese which was dying for salt and wasn’t especially large. For $ 8 you gotta be able to season some noodles and cheese. At least we could fix that, sort of. The French Onion soup wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. For $ 4.75 it won’t steer the review one way or another. When we were half way done with our appetizers the server asked if we were ready for our burgers. This was a bad omen — burgers were going to sit for 15 minutes while we tried in vain to season our mac and cheese to make it palatable. My wife had the chicken sliders which were very dry and under seasoned. I had the Triple Smoked Burger which was very dry and under seasoned. There was some romaine lettuce which seemed out of place and a small amount of sauce on each of our orders. The pretzel roll wasn’t toasted, buttered, or particularly fresh. The worst part had to be how dry both burgers were. It kills me that they would have gone from 2 stars to 4 if they seasoned all their food properly and cooked the burgers properly(on a flat top and tossed a little butter on top to add flavor/moisture.) Also doesn’t help that they charge upwards of $ 10 for basically all their burgers without fries. We spent $ 50 for 2 burgers, a mac and cheese, a soup, and 2 sodas. That’s not insane but if you call it Gourmet and you charge on-the-high-side prices, cook it right. Please.

Gourmet burger bistro is a upscale hamburger joint. Burgers average $ 11-$ 12 and come with onion strings on the side not fries or any other side. A side of sweet potato fries are $ 5. Sauces are $.50 each. Draft beer from $ 6 to $ 8.50. The food is good, but not including fries with your $ 12 burger is ludicrous. $ 17 for a burger(we’re not talking wagyu or grassfed beef) with a side of fries? Perhaps. Perhaps not.

Overrated, but overall good. I think a place with this name, although they have a lot of creations, needs something different still… something actually«gourmet.» Make an Au Poivre sauce, do something classy with it. I dnno, just what I’d like to see in a place. If a burger is classified as «gourmet» maybe give me a thicker burger and more seasoning.

Came here for lunch during the week. Place was slow, but the menu posted outside was intriguing… I’m always on the lookout for varied tastes. Ordered the Triple Smoked Burger… med rare. Came out within 15 minutes. Cooked perfectly, considering the patty was very thick. A little too much lettuce for my taste, but I’ll be sure to specify next time… plus I just took it off. The sandwich as a whole was quite spicy, but delicious. LOTS of good stuff on top, so it was hard to hold together… but was worth the challenge. It was accompanied by onion straws which were quite good… just not enough of them for me. Price was on the high side, but I knew that going in. Overall, it was a very good meal and I will definitely be back. The variety of choices on the menu is incredible and just to my liking.

Nothing special here. Chopped meat on bad bread. Definitely won’t be returning to this place. And I wouldn’t recommend to anyone else either. Service has much to be desired as well. At least give a big glass if you can’t make it back to the table. Burgers tasted like bland chopped meat.

I have been here a hand full of times and each time has been fantastic. We split the lobster mac and cheese which was very good. Could have used more lobster but you can always use more lobster. I had the triple smoked burger and she had the napa valley burger. Atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly.

If I could rate this zero stars I would Too many reasons why this place is terrible so I’ll go in chronological order 1) they don’t take reservations meanwhile the place could hold 75 people tops. They said if we called an hour before they could reserve it but when we called they could not guarantee a spot.(We had 10 people and were traveling 20 minutes away) 2) when the appetizers came out the nachos had no flavor 3) when dinner came out, someone ordered a burger medium well and it came out rare. Steak tasted like a brick. Notified waitress about burger and she handled it well, which is why the one star is justified.

The burger is monster thick, easily over an inch thick, yet too small diameter for the rolls served with them as other reviewers have stated. It was cooked perfectly though with no toughness and juicy, so puzzled at how they pulled that one off. Anyhow, essentially you can get your burger just about a zillion ways. There was almost ten cheese choices alone. Several bun options, even a few different burgers too — beef, bison, ect. The service was a little slow, especially because it wasn’t busy time of day or year.
