My favorite Italian place around. Everything is super fresh and awesome. My favorite is the carbonara! Specials are always great and so is the pizza. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Atmosphere a throw-back from the 60’s, but clean and we haven’t had to wait. Prices reasonable and drinks good too.

Love this place!!! Neil and Debby are experienced and caring owners. Clean establishment, great staff, full menu & nice décor. You MUST order the Fettuccine Carbonara — my mouth waters now just thinking about it! When dining in I always say I’m going to get something different but can’t though I always have a bite of others dishes and all is yummy! Take out for this family is always a Pizza, House Salad and Bread(double order so we don’t fight over it lol). If you want Italian — you want Pompeiis!

I just want to say Thank You to Debby. She was just so kind and caring along with understanding why we had to cancel an event I planned to have at Pompeii’s. Thank you so very much for everything… Great people to work with…

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Port Huron. It is casual and the food and drinks are great. I had a pizza this evening. Pizzas are always great. They have many Italian dishes that are good as well. They have a good selection of drinks as well. My favorite is the Italian margarita. If you haven’t tried one, try one. The staff is always courteous, friendly, and service is fast.

I had the primavera pasta and it was so good! The Waitress is very amiable too. Everything looks clean.

My first time there Friday night, visiting my family for the long holiday weekend. We ordered the giant salad and large pizza with sausage, mushroom & green peppers. Everything was pretty tasty. However, as a Chicago girl, this pizza was just lacking a little flavor. It needed more sauce. More cheese. More… Not sure. I will say though the ingredients were fresh and delicious and as a pizza lover, hit the spot. As my parents are new to Michigan, they do claim Pompeii’s as one of their favorite pizza places. I would eventually like to come back and try those steak tortellinis or a calzone. And lastly, we had great service. Always nice when the chef and bartender/owner stops by and tells us that grandpa is full of piss & vinegar(which he is).

Had a fantastic meal with the family here tonight. Bacon fat bread as an appetizer and chicken artichoke Toscana(I think that’s what it was called) as entrée. This place is top notch, beats Olive Garden any day. My only complaint would be it’s a little pricy, but good food and service is worth a few extra bucks!

Pricey but delicious. Even their lunch portions leave me with leftovers. My husband and I have been a couple of times. I had a chicken and artichoke dish with a creamy pesto sauce and gnocchi one time that was amazing. The mushroom ravioli was great too. I look forward to trying dessert some time.

I went to this place for the Gluten Free menu. It was even better than I imagined from the reviews. They were out of pasta but the pizza is homemade and delicious. They have a variety of GF sauces to choose from as well. Others with us had the regular pizza and said the GF crust was better. I wanted to order a second GF cheese bread because it was so good. My 5 stars is for the GF foods, so bear that in mind. The blue margarita was very strong(just as it should be). The portions are large as most things in Michigan. There was one GF beer on the menu but the mixed drink and wine selection was more than enough to satisfy me. The style is quaint with a large area in the back of the restaurant that has a modest view of the lake. In the front you can see the pizza crust being tossed.

Stopped in for a quick lunch as we only had about 45 minutes before a meeting. The food was fantastic and they got us out the door in time. Being from Grand Rapids I don’t get to PH very often but would really like to come back and try their dinner entrees.

This was a pleasant surprise after a string of other disappointing restaurants we first experienced in Port Huron. With the only complaint of an overdressed salad, the pizza was crisp and flavorful, though pepperoni was doing the heavy lifting. The lasagna, while simple, was very satisfying. An apple cobbler finished the meal and was fabulous. From a décor perspective, it was a bit too basic for the price of most entrées and the menus a bit dog-eared. We will return.

Let me justify the 5 star rating this way: We order, and expect, the same things in every Italian restaurant: lasagna, homemade pastas, homemade sausages and soups. This place will not disappoint. Tonight’s special house made sausage stuffed ravioli was amazing. The chicken florentine soup is a knock out. The lasagna tastes like an Italian grandma is back there rolling out the noodles. One would think these would be easy to find? Not so, making this place a gem. If you are ordering a steak, I’d expect you would be In a steakhouse for quality meats. If you’re not, that’s your fault. Order what they’re known for or no complaints. The cannoli filling was very genuine. If you enjoy the cool whip/Costco cannoli, this place is not for you. We live in Detroit. Great Italian is hard to find. Lucky you, port Huron.

Honestly the worst meal of my life. After hearing so much about this place around town my friend and I decided to give it a try. After some dismal appetizers I was hoping for a decent meal. Mind you it’s a Friday night and we beat the rush so you would expect their best. We both ordered from the list of specials. I ordered a linguine with ricotta and steak. You could get a far superior cut of meat across the street at powers diner with steak and eggs. And there was so much ricotta it was overwhelming. Neither me nor my friend could eat our meal. Thinking this was a fluke my parents gave it a try. Same thing for them too. I worry about the palate of anyone who says this place serves«food».

I’ve been to Pompeii twice and both time the meal and service were good. I have a thin crust pizza and a chicken special of the day. Both were quite tasty. I think the add on price for salad and/or bread is a bit high for something not particularly special. The cocktails are bit light on flavor and alcohol. Nothing here is bad, but it’s also not amazing. I would chose Pompeii over Olive Garden, but mostly because I prefer local to chain restaurants

Great everything! Loved the food, service, atmosphere. This is the place extensive menu. Calzone is huge so unless you eat like a 14year old football player in training… you might want to split it with someone or plan on taking in your lunch tomorrow. All portions were large — even dessert. Yes you need to try the cannoli — even if your pants are tight after your delicious meal. It will be worth it!

Best traditional Italian-American in the area. Textbook lasagna, et al, prepared impeccibly. The chef can be quite adventurous with his specials — hopefully they sell well enough to encourage him further

Atmosphere: Nice, intimate restaurant with some«Italian-inspired» prints on the wall. Nothing that stands out but nothing to complain about. Service was both friendly and timely. Appetizer: Garlic escargot had a unique presentation, sitting in a bed of garlic bread and without the traditional fattening layer of melted cheese on top. However, it had far too much olive oil for my liking. The meal also came with a bread and dip(good bread, simple and somewhat bland dip) and a side salad. Main meal: We ordered the cannelloni and the ravioli. Nothing really stood out. As my wife stated, «There’s no flavor popping in my mouth.» The cream sauce was slightly underseasoned. Overall, we liked our meal but neither one of us loved our meal, nor would we reorder the same meal on a return trip. Unfortunately, both our dishes featured the cream sauce, perhaps we would have been more impressed with a different sauce. $: The advantage of eating south of the border is the value. This time we ended up paying 60 $ for app, meal and wine, which is relatively the same as we would in Canada.

Mom and I decided to stop here for dinner before crossing the Port Huron bridge to do a little gambling at the casino in Sarnia, Canada. My Chianti Sopranos was delivered in a nice wine glass, with a generous portion and it tasted smooth and good. Mom’s Toasted Almond was also smooth, tasty and served well. The service was friendly and timely. Our Pizza and Spaghetti was very tasty and prepared with very fresh ingredients. The only disappointment was the one cannoli served at $ 3.95. Expensive and neither mom or I could take but one bite of it… yuck! Mom and I have a sweet tooth and we love our dessert, especially after a nice Italian meal but this over-priced single cannoli was filled with non-sweeten ricotta cheese… I think. Either way the filling lacked taste and a smooth texture. Parking is very sparse, you will more than likely have to park down a somewhat steep hill or across the street. Excellent Pizza! Very tasty that was prepared with fresh ingredients. The cheese wasn’t too greasy or salty, nor was the ham and pepperoni. Right amount of sauce and cooked perfectly. This was a small pizza with a lot of pizza for the price. You won’t go away feeling bloated, broke or like you’ll gain weight.

When they initially opened, I was most familiar with their pizza(I’m talking once a week familiar). Since then my attendance has kinda dropped off,(no fault of theirs). On the relatively rare occassions that I do show up now, I opt for the dinners, which are quite good. Really one of the better places to eat in Port Huron. The salad presentation and bread and dipping oil also are nice touches. The drinking water is quite good, a rare thing among restaurants, it doesn’t taste like old ice or somehow contaminated like many restaurants. So its ok to get hydrated here if you need it and lets face it, who doesn’t these days. The Mushrooms are huge portabellos, the sauces are nice. I have had the Carbonara, the Fettucine Alfredo and the Steak Tortellini. I lean toward the white sauces. But the Manicotti is good, with a slightly sweet red sauce. The price is a little higher than I like, but I don’t worry about the quality.
