Most amazing gem in Sarnia! Their pasta is so incredibly amazing! It’s a(sort of) hidden away treasure in Pt Edward with incredible food, even better service and fair prices! I highly highly highly recommend it! When I worked closer I used to eat there almost daily and never got tired of it nor did I have a bad experience ever!

Traditional Italian food cooked by one of the nicest families in the area. Family owned and operated for as long as I can remember. Great for taking your family, or if your entertaining business associates from out of town. This restaurant is a Sarnia classic and must be tried before considering yourself a true local. Keep up the good work guys.

After reading reviews on trip advisor, we came upon this place during our day trip to Sarnia and Point Edward. The best way to describe it is homely with a small town charm. First, the service here is unbeatable. Carol, our waitress– and presumably one of the owners– was very warm, friendly and also helpful. She went as far as to give us her personal number in case we were in the area again and needed help or advice on what to see or do. If you want substantial helpings of simple Italian food, this is a warm and welcoming place to visit in the area. In line with what appears to be the usual way of doing things here, we were first given a basket of focaccia bread, a simple salad and bruschetta. There is no set menu so for the mains Carol offered to either chose for us or give us a rundown of the dishes they make. I opted for the cheese tortellini, after another customer struck up a conversation with me and recommended that dish. My friend got the meat lasagne. I actually preferred his dish a bit more than mine because I realised I was actually in the mood for something more tomatoey and the lasagne just hit the right spot. The cheese tortellini was also good, but a bit heavy for me. For both dishes you could tell that the ingredients used were fresh. For drinks we ordered the sangiovese wine that Carol recommended and were not disappointed. All in all this was a nice experience, and if we make it down to Sarnia or Point Edward again we’ll be sure to drop by to Salvatore’s!

We came to this cosy friendly homey Italian rest with empty bellies and open minds. Promtly we were seated and asked had we been before. No, we said and she explained that the breads and salad came and then she would bring us our other courses: she said we could have menus but that mostly she just chose for people! This seemed novel and exciting and owing to the mirth and tasty smells in the room we took the leap of faith for her to Suprize us. Wine? Red white or blush. Simple and fitting. The salad and breads came out lightening fast: simple salad with vineagrette then foccaccia bread with really good spiced olive oil and pamasean to sprinkle. Garlic and bruschettas followed. I began to pace myself as i saw a room full of happily stuffed and defeated people walked out with doggie bags. Then the family style plate of home made angle hair garlic pasta with fresh toms and oil came(well paced so not too fast and not stoo slow) there was also hand made ravioli. We had seen Mama walk by with a plate of fish for one table so we really didnt know what to expect next(or even what any of this cost!) and soon out came a plate of moist breaded chicken with mushroom, green beans, and lemon topped steak. It was moist. I ate all the meats and joined the doggy bag army with pasta to take home for later. For dessert i asked if there was choice and she said only if i wanted or she could do more suprise. I said to omit the Chocolate and so she promptly brought me a really nice lemon sorbet served in a cored lemon. Hubby got tiramisu — not too boozey. If we had had hours we would have paced more slowly– one could i this quaint quality and quirky little joint, but don’t blink or you will miss it. For two dinners and three glasses wine was $ 85. I was ok with that but was hoping for maybe $ 65. Still… I wont have to eat for another week. It is an italian family restaurant: it is what it is: yum! 4 for the experience and charming server, 3.5 for the food. Better than eating at a chain for SURE!
