DONT COME!!! RATEROS! Food was mediocre, the place was dirty and they tried to over charge (rip-​of).
I ordered pupusas plate $ 6.50 Asada Torta $ 5.50 Chicken taco $ 1.50 and soda $ 2.25. They lady charge me $ 24.50, I asked her if the amount was right and her response «well the machine doesnt lie» I paid thinking I might have made a mistake. About two minutes later I went back and told her I believe she had over charge me. She got nervous and added the total up again… her lame exuse, She said the menu I was looking at was old and the prices had gone up… the total amount the second time was $ 19.96 which was still wrong… she gave me $ 4.00 back and said she was sorry. IM SORRY FOR GOING TO THAT PLACE… NEVER AGAIN.

Do not come here! Trust me all these Unilocal reviews saying how horrible there service is are totally true these waitresses have no clue what they are doing and on top of that have a very snobby attitude and even worse the food is not even close to making up for it, never coming here again! Do not recommend!

The food is delicious here and the owners and workers are very friendly and helpful, highly recommended, will return tomorrow for the breakfast. Try the Salvadoran menu

if there’s was a no star review i would do it. ok where do i start… it took 40 minutes to get our food to us plus we asked for lemons. .never got them. don’t go there and waste your time and money food isn’t great either

Do not go to this place! The worst customer service. The only reason I went here is because I purchased a deal from
the owner would not take my coupon from my smart phone! Other restaurant did it no questions asked. The lady helping me said he wanted the coupon printed. Really! I asked to talk to the owned and she said he was having dinner and would not see me! Wow no wonder this place was empty! And Yes DIRTY!!!

Terrible costumer service. The restaurant has a unsanitary odor but my husband insisted in trying this place. We had to get up to pay. I asked him why did the food took so long and his reply was that next time I should call in and order before getting there… how pathetic…

Just finished having dinner had a few issues. Server was all by herself & the place got busy as we finished our meal so we had to ask for our check & she still didn’t bring it finally went up to pay where her total didn’t match ours. I wanted her to redo the math but she ignored me & continue to serve others. I said excuse me can you redo the math & she said «just give me what you want.» W/​an attitude. Sorry but I won’t overpay for someone’s mistake. I thought that was so rude. I had a coupon from
and I told her about it and she said «you should have told me before» what difference does it make?! Service sucks needs more staff and maybe a calculator. The food: ordered the jalapeño pupusa which was really spicy, and a revuelta which had onion (which is not mentioned on the menu) also ordered the coctel de camaron which is nothing like the picture on the menu. It had 2 shrimp around the rim & 5 inside & way too much lemon juice. Only ate the shrimp and left the juice as it was not edible. We were also served an expired Pepsi which they did replace with a new can. The cabbage topping had no flavor. I would not come back to this place.

Been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed. I ate my popusas with cabbage and tomato sauce and they were delicious! Hole in the wall restaurant won’t be disappointed! The decorating and atmosphere could use a little fixing up is the only down side

Nothing special, took 30 minutes to get food. I would of rather gone to the KFC across the street.

Incredible place! The food is extremely fresh, and because of this, do NOT go when you are limited with time. Food can take up to an hour and a half to get to your table. Outside of the wait, the food is delicious.

Great Salvadorian food, especially the pupusas! The menu contains lots of Salvadorian and Mexican staples.
Décor is as expected. A little run down and needs some TLC.
The service is ok and a little slow, but expected as the food is prepared upon order, which is a good thing.
I would return to this place for the great food.

I went here tonight to get pupusas for me and my friend and they were delicious. They were super friendly, the restaurant was very clean, and it took only 10 minutes for all 5 of my pupusas. I got one with queso, queso y refrito, queso y jalapeño, chicharrón, y tres quesos. All were super delicious. I will come back for sure!

One word to describe the food… AMAZING! Yeah the wait was a little long, but who cares! The food is delicious. I ordered the asada burrito and it was so delicious. They have their spice level a little high on my barometer, but that’s because I’m not used to spicy things… but the gentleman warned me it was spicy as he put the food down. All in all I would come here again. I love hole in the wall places like this, Port Hueneme scored on this gem!

I’m rating this place four stars for the authenticity of their food preparation, customer service and menu. The food is made to order, so if you didn’t order beforehand, you will wait a while, but it is so delicious– the wait is worth it! Salvadorian food is usually greasy, not here. I’ve had their pupusas in both the zucchini and cheese, and the «all» with everything. Their sweet bread is very close to the Salvador recipes as well, or so my Salvadorian husband says, its delicious to me.

This place has a bad «odor»…bad service… yes, I had to wait 30+ minutes for some «pupusas»…after waiting 40 minutes, I was told I had to spend $ 10+ to use my debit/​credit card…

After hearing some horrible stories about the restaurant I decided to check it out for myself because I had a
certificate. As soon as I walked in I noticed that the restaurant was very dirty, trash on the floor, the tables had not been cleaned and there was a horrible odor. we arrived at 1:17pm and it took them 20 minutes to get our order. At 2:25 our order had not arrived yet so I went to speak to the person in charge. The owner was so rude and told me that next time I need to order over the phone so my order can be ready on time when I get there, HOW CAN I ORDER OVER THE PHONE WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE MENU? HOW CAN I kNOW WHAT I WANT TO EAT IN ADVANCE? I was so aggravated to see the owner handle money at the cash register and then cook the food without proper sanitation, he did not wash his hands!!! I ended up leaving before the food arrived, even if the food is good it is not worth the poor service and the long wait. I had to worst dinning experience. I am so shocked they are not out of business. I do not recommend the restaurant at all. Save the trouble and take your business elsewhere, where customers are appreciated. I would never ever go back the restuarant doesnt even deserve 1 star!!!

I wanted to try salvadorean food, so I brought my parents to this restaurant. Big mistake! The place had a really bad odor, I think it was the carpet. Our food took 55 minutes! Yes, 55 minutes! We didn’t even get a warning that it was going to take that long, we could have gone somewhere different. When the food finally did arrive my parents seemed to enjoy it, but we will NOT be back!
