I have been a customer for 15 – 20 years now. He has always done a great job in a timely manner. Most recently I asked him to repair a favorite wall clock of ours. Even this close to Christmas he had it in and out in less than a week and his pricing is extremely fair. Thanks for your many years of dedication and friendly nature!

Mr. Uchida has extraordinary watch and clock repair skills. He has fabricated parts for my gold 100 year old ladies hunter pocket watch, and has kept my Grandmother’s 1920s white gold Cushion face wrist watch in excellent running condition. Since I moved to Port Hueneme 20 years ago, I have enjoyed the care that Mr. and Mrs. Uchida provide at the TIME SHOP. I also love fashion watches, and Mr. Uchida is very patient about his process. !) he checks the old battery to see if it is dead, 2) he checks the watch to see it run, 3) he checks the battery charge he is selling you and gives it his personal etch. I have watched him do this many many times. Mr. Uchida loves your time pieces that go «tick-​tock»… I highly recommend.
Yes… the store is hard to find… tucked behind the USA gas and Car Wash. The inventory is eclectic in a small space if you are shopping for bands, watches, wall clocks, novelties, mantle clocks or full grandfather designs. Come shop here when you aren’t in a rush.

Took my watch in to get a new battery and replace the band. I was in and out in less than five minutes. The directions for the store are wrong. Time Shop is in the center with the 99 Cent Store, behind the gas station, not on the other side of Ventura Road where Burger King is.

Mr Uchida is a very kind man. Exceptionally knowledgable about all sorts of time pieces. VERY reasonable prices for things, quick to put batteries in watches, and honest and up front about all possibilities. He even gave me a discount because he had to redo a transaction; for the inconvenience. Highly recommended! He also guarantees his work and the parts he puts in!

Sorry, but my experience was not good. The gentleman was alone and was very rude to me. I took my own new battery and wasn’t sure why my watch wouldn’t work, since battery is new. He just looked at my watch, put the battery in himself and walla it worked! He wanted to charge me just for doing that, and at 1^st I laughed and though he was joking, but he wasn’t and when I told him why was he going to charge me he got ALLLLL upset and asked me to leave his shop… I LEFT! NOT THE BEST EXPERIECE FOR ME!

Gentleman was by himself he was busy and I just needed my watchband shortened. He was very friendly and he took care of all the customers in the line. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back as well.
