The food here is very fresh, and delicious. It’s BYOB which makes this place even better. My fiancé had the vegetable taco which was full of fresh grilled veggies, so they are not cheap with the food. I had the chorizo taco and there was plenty of meat. It’s definitely a must try in the area. Another BIG plus is they’re open super late, perfect for late night eats.

Slamming ! Authentic and fresh tacos. Got the shrimp, carnitas and chorizo, all amazing. BYOB– there’s a bodega right next store. Perfect stop before a show at the cap theatre. There’s grateful dead memorabilia all over the restaurant. Will return for sure. !!

Pricey, so I was only able to go once while attending college, but absolutely delicious. I decided to try the restaurant after having their food that they catered for a business meeting, which was absolutely delicious. Their salsas are the perfect addition to the authentic food. As a VEGAN in Port Chester, it is not easy to find satisfying food amongst the chain pubs and meat cuisines, however this place is perfect. The dining situation is awkward, however. When I was there it was only my boyfriend and I and the waiters were doing karaōke to entertain themselves. I’m not sure if people dine in there regularly. But the food made up for the atmosphere. Oh— I almost forgot– the horchata!

Fresh, hot, tasty, authentic! I go with my wife a couple of time a month. i’ll always check to see if there is a show across the street at the Capitol Theater because if there is, it will be jammed till about 8;15. BYOB for the time being, but you can pick up a six pack around the corner. Dinner for two has never run us more than $ 45, and we are always full and happy when we leave, Speaking of the Capitol Theater, it IS a great place for pre concert food, but waaaaaay better AFTER the show! Not only do I go there after Cap shows(of which I go to many) but even coming home from NYC concerts, nothing beats a few tacos at 1 or 2 am. Always say hi to Pedro, he’s the man!

Sauntered in here like a couple of chaps having a little pre show dinner at the theater(pronounced THEEUHTUH). We thought that getting there at 645 would get us out the door and to the Capitol Theater(pronounced regularly) by 8. The restaurant was about 85% full with two small waitress and a gruff fellow managing the floor. Our waitress, who didn’t have a full grasp on the English language, took our order. 6 tacos and guac w chips. I would normally find a waitress at a taco joint with a limited understanding of the English language charming, but tonight we were 1) hangry AF2) on a time crunch. After over a half hour, we received 5 tacos and it looked as if they forgot the guac. The other waitress, who seemed to have a more robust understanding of the English language, asked if we wanted the 6th taco. We informed the little lady that unfortunately the food was already too late. Also, it wasn’t until after the tacos came, that the chips and guacamole showed up. Now I’m not sure if this occurs in authentic messican restaurants but that definitely doesn’t occur in my America. This all being said, the food was great, and my taste buds were definitely doing some intense Mexican Hat Dancing(aye caliente!). We were just soured by the misstep in service. I’d love to try the place on a less busy night but unfortunately I rarely make it out to this weird area.

Not very good. Everything looks nice on the plate, but does not taste good. Don’t let the Unilocal pictures deceive you! These were pretty bad tacos. The chorizo taco… ughh so much paprika. It was completely inedible. The chicken taco tasted like the meat had gone bad. The carnitas taco had so much gristle and fat. Not good. Points for fresh cilantro and lime wedges, and really nice presentation, but the meat was so bad. The water also tasted like chemicals, like dish detergent. At least the guacamole was good, but a little on the expensive side. When the restaurant is empty, and there are no «to go» orders being placed, it’s a bad sign.

Seriously delicious … If they only served margaritas I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Guac and tacos both awesome!

This place is great — small and, friendly and the tacos were excellent. I absolutely love their green salsa as well-actually I think it’s more like just a basic hot sauce it’s mostly jalapeños with some lime juice, garlic, and salt. So very delicious. They also have refreshing homemade juices — I had some kind of a berry hibiscus one that was excellent on a hot east coast summer day.

Another great place for tacos in the local area! I prefer their regular style tacos over the«gringo» tacos because those have too much melted cheese for me. But hey, if you like tons cheese then go for it! It’s a perfect place to go after a show at the Capitol Theater!

Where do I begin! Came here last night ordered four chorizo tacos for $ 3.00 which was reasonable, but here’s the kicker, Ordered salsa and chips and was charged $ 9.95. Really! who does that? That should be given for free upon arrival. Fake ass mexican restaurant will not be returning.

Let’s see. The food was not great but wasn’t bad either. We decided to try this spot being the Mexican food lovers we are but had our hopes to high or we are just spoiled with our fav restaurant in the Bronx. Let’s start with the service. Our waitress was so so, I felt as if she didn’t understand us when we were talking and she wasn’t so helpful on the menu. Next I was a bit disappointed that they do not give complementary chips with salsa. I had to order chips which kinda sucked. Their menu isn’t big and to me is missing a few dishes which to me feel that should be standard dishes. I also noticed that they do not have chipotle sauce which is weird, not sure why not. That’s like Mexican restaurant 101 to have. Now to the food, my burrito was not tasty at all. My wife’s plate of enchiladas was good. The tacos my daughter ordered which was one chicken and one carnitas was just ok. Overall I don’t think I would be coming back to this restaurant. If your hungry and are already feeling a bit buzzed from having a few cold ones go here, it might help you enjoy your food.

Affordable and delicious, I was so glad that we walked in the door. I find most east coast«Mexican» food inedible. But this was authentic and delicious.

We have been here 4 – 5 times recently and have always enjoyed great service and freshly prepared food. The wait staff, the owner, the chef, they are all great! I usually enjoy the steak fajitas and my wife likes the vegetable tacos. The guacamole and especially the refried beans are excellent. Just a real nice family feel with a great 70’s soundtrack

Excellent authentic food. The tacos are very good, and the guacamole was super. For those of you who like roasted corn, try the esquites. And the service was excellent. This restaurant is a keeper, and we’ll definitely be back!!!

I have only been here once, but I will definitely be returning. After living in San Diego for so long and being spoiled with the amazing Mexican food, it’s hard to find anything comparable in the Westchester area. This place does not disappoint. We had a plate of street tacos and they were amazing. Ordered a couple rounds. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly. I knocked off a star only because the door was left open a couple times and it let in the cold winter air while we were dining. Highly recommend!

Nice spot, decent tacos. That 20% Unilocal check in discount was pretty sweet! The place was near empty at 1pm so we grabbed a big table and we’re treated to very swift and pleasant service. The décor was hippyish and a bit whimsical, and in general it was a nice place to sit and have a meal. Oh yeah, I know taste in music is subjective, but that Grateful Dead playlist they have running is horrendous. I can’t think of anything worse to have playing in the background when I’m eating than the Grateful Dead… except…maaaaybe, the Hitler Youth Boys Choir singing the Mengele Bop. And even then I’m not 100% sure. Anyway, the tacos were okay, but nothing special. The flavor was good and the food was all fresh, but the meat in both tacos seemed to be at least 80% fat. Didn’t love that part. Also, they must have given me the gringo menu or something because $ 9 for those 2 smallish tacos is pretty steep pricing. You can basically get the same thing all over Westchester for 2 bucks a pop. If you’re coming from out of the Port Chester area you should know that parking is really a pain. We had to circle a bit and ultimately found a spot like 3 blocks away. Most of the options in the immediate area seemed to be 30 minute parking only and traffic is heavy. Definitely wouldn’t go back. While this taqueria was okay, there’s just way too many Mexican options out there that offer better value, food, and music choices.
