Port Chester Seafood

I was in Port Chester on business and came across by his restaurant. For starters, this is actually a seafood market with a side business of lunch .
Having said that, I was there for lunch and thought I’d try their «Blackened Swordfish». However, the lady behind the counter perceived that I was in a hurry and pointed out the my request would take about 25 minutes to prepare.
She was right I would not have waited. She suggested the «Soul Fracese». A great suggestion that I enjoyed.
So 3 stars you ask? Unfortunately there is very little seating. The customer area is very tight, so I was relegated to a counter facing the window. Also food comes in a styrofoam container.
Anyway the food was good, and prices very reasonable so if you can get passed what I think are negatives you enjoy good seafood.

Port Chester Seafood strives to provide the best and freshest seafood in town. This is not your corner $ 3.50 Fried Whiting Fish Sandwich shop. But, it’s bustling with wholesome seafood throughout their shop and honestly, couldn’t wait to select a few pieces to take home and sample. Along with their fish fillets, they carry a huge selection of shellfish. I quickly glanced over and noticed that the highlight of their shop, is to provide great quality seafood i.e., different seafood salads (some without mayo and some with), stuffed and seasoned lobster tails, soft shell crabs and so many others. Fish fillets, all seemed and smelled fresh, the moment I stepped inside.
I refuse to continue paying for poor-​quality fish. Price point at Port Chester Seafood may be high-​priced to some, but you get what you pay for. My intentions were, to truly compare the fish here to the inferior type I used to buy closer to home; at HMart. So to try Port Chester Seafood out, I selected about a pound of salmon and another half of cod.
As soon as I arrived home, I removed my salmon and cod packages from the bag, only to notice that a little refreshing surprise popped out. According to PCS, with every purchase, you get a lemon! Which I thought added a tasteful and cool touch!
That night, I seasoned my salmon lightly and squirted the complimentary lemon over it… And the salmon couldn’t have tasted any better. Man… was it fresh and no aftertaste. In essence, no freaking bones whatsoever… Great service, awesome seafood — I’m Sold!

Good seafood but awful service. Standing in line on Christmas Eve morning at 8:50 and the store is not open — supposed to open at 8:00. There’s a line around the block and they don’t care. Can’t treat customers that way no matter how good the seafood is, and it’s not much better than Whole Foods.

Wow, what a wonderful sole francese I just had here. Great people, fast, and absolutely delicious chowder and sole with rice, sauteed in a light buttery lemon sauce. Right on Midland next to Dunkin Donuts across from a mall. Drop in for fresh fish and lobster to take home or get a lunch up to 3:30. I’ll be back soon to try the raw bar. What a treasure!

The freshest fish in the area. I drive from the eastchester area just to get fish from here. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

One of the best markets for fresh seafood. I have tried the salmon, mahi mahi and shellfish and I am always impressed with the quality. This place is a must try!

Excellent local seafood store. The seafood is always fresh and succulent and the staff very helpful. The cooked lunches are also very appetizing. This is a long established local store that fully deserves it’s well earned reputation.

What can i say I love this place. seafood is exquisite every time I go. this place is a hidden gem nobody would ever think that a little seafood market serves such amazing hot food.(lunch only though) fish sandwich is amazing, the seafood chowders are awesome the shrimp scampi over rice is moist the shrimp is fresh. only thing parking isn’t the best especially for a place that does tons of traffic a day. stop in for lunch one day you won’t be disappointed

this is the only place I get my seafood. The staff is excellent and Lou will find you anything you want (within reason!) all you need to do is ask! I love their fish sandwiches and clam chowder too!
