I’m born and raised in Port Chester. And shame on me for not trying this place sooner. Very good pizza. Excellent actually. I tried a large plain and a large with ground beef and onions. So good!!! Thin crust but made in a pan so have that pan taste with just the perfect little char around the edges. And very reasonably priced. I paid $ 27 for both those pizza’s. I will most definitely be going back.

Did not have their pizza, but can tell you the veal Marsala was great! Pasta Fagioli was out of this world! Lauren the bar keep was so pleasant! A kind soul, dog loving person! I felt like I had been going their for years!

This has to be one of the longest standing, family owned restaurants in the area. I believe the place was opened in the mid-50’s and now it is in the hands of the third generation of the family. The pizza is hands down the best i’ve ever had and nothing else on the menu disappoints. I recently saw they did a major renovation of the outside of the building and it looks fantastic!

I finally tried this place specifically for its pizza. The pizza is very good: brick-oven– fired pan pizza, thin-crusted and crispy. They have some unusual topping selections. I had fresh tomato and pesto. It was flavorful and the 10″ pie was perfect for an individual pizza. Cons: the place is a dive. It is located directly in front of the housing projects, and the noise from there spills into the restaurant. The place itself is dark and divey. Parking is a problem. Pros: Service was friendly, efficient and with a smile. Prices are very fair. Good pizza.

The pizza is different then your traditional pizzeria. Thin crust with semi burnt edges just enough to give you that wood fire taste. You will never experience pizza like this again! Try it!

My wife and I went here after going to the Home Depot. Looking at the place from the outside it does not look inviting but we were pleasantly surprised with the inside(old time sports bar). We had beer, garlic bread, hot wings and sausage pizza(end of the diet :). We really enjoyed the super nice service and the food. Don’t get me wrong the place is a little grimey but we really liked it and will be back.

Went there for after-work drinks with a friend on the weekend. Good place. Hometown bar feel, my kind of place. Ordered a steak and cheese hero– not the best but eh– it was not bad and I was hungry. Beers were cold– bartenders nice– and overall cozy feeling. Food: 3⁄5 Atmosphere: 4⁄5 Service: 3⁄5

This place has a local bar feel. I used to live down the road, so I would order the pizza once in a while. It’s not the best pizza, not the worst, but occasionally it would hit the spot. They do have some very nice special pie toppings, especially if you’re into spicy heat. The Hot Woodsy has hot peppers and hot italian sausage, and some good heat. The Mexican pizza has some type of chili, and was one of the hottest pies I’ve had. Even spicier on the way out!
