This place has its good and bad days, depending on who makes your food. For starters I asked for a BLT w/avocado. At 1st I was only given lettuce & bacon & had to go back & ask for tomato. Not the best & has been better. I wish they put a little more than a piece of avocado on there.

Ah, the smell! Warm, fresh bagels(variety of cream cheese, juice, coffee). These are huge bagels — one is the equivalent of two/three. Buy by dozen, individual or get a breakfast or lunch sandwich bagel. This is mostly a take-out place… only two to three small tables with lots of line/foot traffic surrounding the tables. The line moves fast. Street and lot parking.

Found this place close by where I work and decided to give them a try. They have a nice array of different cream cheeses which is nice. The ladies behind the counter at are nice as well and pleasant. They have a small seating area outside that consist of about 4 tables w/2 chairs for each. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel which was really good and washed it down with a coffee. I will definitely be back and recommend this place.

Bagel Emporium is a small bagel shop with some nice outdoor seating and a few tables indoors. I usually go to Lenny’s but I wanted to give Bagel Emporium a try after I heard that they also carried vegan friendly, dairy free cream cheese options. PRICE: Significantly less than Lenny’s as they are really expensive imo. TASTE: I really don’t have a preference for one place over the other in regards to taste although I do think Lenny’s might have a slightly larger flavor selection. ATMOSPHERE: Lenny’s has a much nicer eat in area with more room to sit with larger groups. I do feel like Bagel Emporium has a nicer patio seating area though so maybe it depends on what you want that day. Overall, I will probably frequent Bagel Emporium most of the time now because of the significant price difference.

Amazing selection of cream cheeses and spreads! My rye bagel was studded with caraway seeds and so flavorful, and the jalapeño lox spread was divine. Thanks for being open on Easter!

Best bagels in Westchester. I go weekly to get bagels. When you order a dozen you actually get 13 for a great price.

Upsides 1. Tasty bagels. 2. Various cream cheese spreads. 3. Finally accepts credit cards. 4. Great iced coffee. 5. Moderate prices. Downsides 1. Barely speak English. 2. Almost ALWAYS get the order wrong. 3. You’re lucky if they have avocado any given day. It’s like they only buy 2 or 3 every day. 4. Unfriendly staff. 5. They have a habit of not acknowledging the line and just take the next person who walks up to the counter.

Really solid bagels with generous portions of toppings — including lox. What’s not to like?!

Great real bagels and good fresh cream cheeses. They finally take credit card! They went from cash only to taking all 4 major cards.

Let me preface this review by saying I have been coming to Bagel Emporium for 2+ years and I’ve had a lot of great experiences & bagels there. Also, I have generally been on their side in the BE vs. Lenny’s debate since I think BE makes a better textured bagel. But as of late, the service is seriously lacking. I’m sad to say after today, I won’t be going into BE for breakfast anymore. I ordered a poppy seed bagel and asked for a thin layer of the jalapeño lox cream cheese. Apparently the thinnest layer of cream cheese is about 2 inches thick. That’s far too much cream cheese in my opinion, hence why I requested less. The lox in the cream cheese didn’t taste fresh either, so I ended up just scraping it all off. Not a good way to start your day. I can’t say this is the first time this has happened to me here either… Another problem I have with BE is the coffee situation. They offer about 4 – 6 flavored coffees, which taste great compared to their regular coffee, but they NEVER refill them. Seriously, I’m convinced they make 1 pot of each flavor in the morning and then simply wash out the canisters before putting them back. That means you better show up once they open for a decent cup of coffee, otherwise you’re left with that regular, watered-down garbage labeled«coffee.» If you plan on going to Bagel Emporium, take my advice and just order bagels to take home. That way you’ll get a great bagel made the way you actually want. The service is very friendly and works at a decent pace, but they can’t seem to get their orders right, even for frequent customers. And please BE, refill your coffees or at least make a regular pot that doesn’t taste like sink water. Oh, I almost forgot to mention BE is cash only, but their ATM is sketchy. It took $ 20 from my friend’s debit card but never gave her the money. Luckily her bank refunded it, but beware.

These bagels are the best. Been going there fro 20 years. They use to be in the Kohl’s Shipping Center out on US1 at I-287, but I followed them to deeper in Port Chester though it is further away from where I live in Rye, NY. All the other 5 star reviews are dead on. The place is a bit of a dive, but the service is good, the coffee is hot and all those different cream cheese spreads are great. You can’t go wrong. Not a bad thing to say about the place. If you remember, sometimes they have coupons for your next visit.

Take this from a person who eats bagels EVERY single morning, unless I occasionally cheat on my daily romance with Cinnabon. I have eaten bagels at at least a two dozen different bagel places. You know, I had to have some fun in exploring to find the«one». Well, ladies and gents, I’ve found the one. The most amazing bagel made. The bagel I will be eternally be faithful to in the state of NY. To be more serious, this place is in a convenient location, not too far from 95 exits. It has street parking. The place is pretty plain looking, but it has a few tables to sit down and enjoy your scrumptious bagels. The bagels are made daily on the premises. If I go there early or late enough in day, I am blessed enough to get one straight out of the oven. My dear Lord Jesus, how warm and delicious, one of your most delectable edible creations. In addition, they have a variety of cream cheese flavors that are out of this world. Chive, vegetable, strawberry, and tomato and bacon are my favorite. There are some outlandish ones I would never try, that others love. There is also a nice assortment of coffee flavors you can pick from. Back to what I was saying, the place is pretty plain looking. Staff is really friendly. It’s a cash only place, but there is an ATM machine in the store. Anyway, you fall in love with the richness of personality, not looks. Unless you’re super shallow. If so, go cheat on your bougie gorgeous bagel place, with this one. You won’t be disappointed. I found«the one» and I highly suggest you stop by and try it out. I’m sure you’ve spent $ 4-$ 20 on faaaaar worse, in case you don’t like it. I don’t see how anyone could not love their bagels, but hey!!! Just go!!!

If visiting or driving through NJ/NY during the AM hours, one must find a good bagel shop. Well, assuming you’re hungry. And even if you’re not, find one anyway. That’s exactly what we did during our trip to Beantown, finding the Bagel Emporium of North Chester(name and location right there in the title, so simple). After grabbing a parking spot just up the street, we entered the small shop in hopes of getting some quality breakfast sandwiches. There was a short line, which I interpreted as good news, giving us time to decide. I went with a bacon, egg and cheese on a cinnamon raison bagel. Everything is made fresh right there behind the counter and I was already salivating by the time our order was ready. There are only a few tables inside, but we grabbed an empty one and laid the smack down on our scrumptious sandwiches. Yum! There wasn’t a thing I didn’t like about it(aside from it disappearing too quickly), between the fried egg, semi-crispy bacon, melted cheese and fresh bagel. Satisfying, yet affordable(cash only), this was a bagel find worth leaving the highway to enjoy. 4.5 Stars.

outside of the apple stands this authentic breakfast/lunch establishment that serves a vast selection of the typical newyorker cuisine. They have perfect bagels with great flavors. Its hard to choose from all the tasty cream cheeses, salads, hot or cold sandwiches… not to mention the fresh eggs. Location is clean and have newspapers for good reads while u eat. I’m starting to believe this place is not so typical

I am a big bagel fan and have eaten bagels at various other places, assabagel, lenny’s, panera, many food carts, stop & shop, costco, and many other deli’s. I have to admit that if you talk just about bagels, this is one of the best places to buy from. For me, they taste and cost better than Lenny’s but again I am talking only about bagels. Also, if you have a coupon, you get a dozen for $ 6.99(used for bday parties at work). Toasted or not, they just taste great, go there in the morning and you will get warm, right out of the oven bagels! yum yum!

Going to school in the area, this was the place we all went for our morning and mid-day bagel fill. early in the day its filled with a lot of people rushing to get to work grabbing coffee and a bagel, later in the day its the soccer moms relaxing with a nosh after dropping the kids off. they sell to a lot of local restaurants and delis i guess, always lots of big brown bags leaving on trucks. bagels were always ok, never superb but never crap. pretty convenient to rt1, but now I prefer to make the extra effort to go to Lenny’s which isnt too far from here.
