This«deli» doesn’t deserve a one star rating, but Unilocal won’t allow for a zero star rating. I went to this place with friends and we all ordered several different plates from the breakfast and lunch menu. The waiter/busboy brought over a bowl filled with pickles that were obviously re-used. Some of the pickles had bite marks.- No Thanks. I’ll start with the breakfast order — eggs with a side of french fries that were obviously fried several times over and served lukewarm. Bacon, that was deep fried into strips of absolutely disgusting grossness. The omelette was rubbery and tasteless. On to the other two orders, they charge Katz/Carnegie Deli prices(famous, AMAZING New York City Deli’s) for sandwiches that are sub-par. Corned beef on rye — you can get a better sandwich at any Bodega for for five bucks. The pastrami — as the person who ordered it said — «I’d rather eat at Costco’. And lucky for the customers ordering a sandwiches, they get a ramekin of ½ a tablespoon of rank coleslaw. FYI, they charge $ 3.00 dollars for a soft drink. A can of soda is THREEDOLLARS.

tl;dr Employees are incredibly rude. Don’t go here. Called to place an order to pick up, but before I could even get my name out the man who picked up the phone began yelling at me for some reason I could not understand. To whoever owns this deli, here’s a tip: harassing customers over the phone is bad for business.

This is a mediocre deli with high prices. Unfortunately, it is the only deli I know about in the area, so I keep coming back. They do have the standards ny deli items. But, service is really slow and not always helpful.

It’s not fair to actually give this place one star. because I never spoke to a server and never had any food served to me. I just left there about an hour ago. I walked in for breakfast. I sat at a booth. I saw the owner there(Harry)…and plenty of people working there. the only problem was after 10 minutes. nobody asked if I wanted coffee. nobody gave me a menu. And it’s not like they didn’t walk past my table 20 appeared that there was one waitress. I waited and waited. I decided. maybe if I stared at the workers there or Harry(the owner).maybe someone would stop by. I got up. I walked out. I went to the Port Chester Diner.where.and this is amazing. within 3 minutes I had ordered and had coffee being poured… How can an owner be standing in the middle of his own establishment and not see what’s going on? Sad.Harry.very sad. what’s happened to the culture of your store…

They tend to be overpriced. Food is okay. I have been there many times, but today was the last. I was so disappointed. I ordered grilled cheese and bacon and the waiter asked if I wanted to add fries. I said sure. They charged my $ 5 for the fries. What the heck. Usually when you have a sandwich it either comes w/fries or it’s $ 2 extra. I asked the waiter abt it and he told me to speak with the manager. He refused to reduce the bill. Bear in mind, I barely ate any of the fries. I was shocked that he didn’t even care nor the fact that I was misled. So, I won’t be going there any more. I paid $ 18 for a mediocre lunch(+tip).

Yes, it’s pricy but in line for the area. The service is always quick and friendly and the sandwiches are delicious. I usually have a Turkey Ruben with fries and there is always enough for two meals — which is a bonus in my book. Their Matzo Ball Chicken Noodle soup is always great as well.

Expensive, unfriendly and the worst pickles I have ever tasted! Only eat there if chipotle and chopt is too crowded… and even then fourteena may be a better choice!

I’ve never been so utterly disappointed about a restaurant in this area. I went with my family for breakfast. We ordered three breakfast specials and the Belgian waffles. I ordered corned beef hash with home fries. Somehow, they managed to mess up all five of the orders. None of the orders were exactly what we ordered. Everyone else got decent home fries, but I got mushy, oddly spicy potatoes even though we all ordered the same home fries. Our waiter told us that mine were simply underdone, despite mine being completely different and entirely unpleasant. He promptly brought a plate of actual home fries. The service was rather rude, and every time we pointed out a mistake in our orders, they made it seem like it was our fault. When we called for a waiter, someone would come and bark, «What?» The food that did come right was mediocre at best. Never going back, especially considering the insanely outrageous prices.

Ugh, I really, really wanted to like it here. Everyone has been telling me to go here since I started working nearby. Sadly, this was my first and last time here. Waited for nearly 20 minutes just to order. Paid almost $ 16.00 for a sandwich I have ordered at an authentic Italian deli for HALF that price. So because it’s Rye you can price gauge? The employee gave my sandwich to someone else and I ended up with something completely wrong, I gave him the benefit of the doubt it was extremely busy and he made me a new sandwich(still not the right one, but my lunch break was almost over at this point). I would possibly have tried again on a slower day if not for these insane prices! Oh, and the sandwich was OK, I’ve had better. Sorry.

Information on their website, here on Unilocal, and in a Google search are all incorrect regarding hours. Just drove 15 minutes out of my way on my way into an early morning of work to try and get myself some breakfast, but found that the sign on their door says they don’t open till 7:30AM(online says 6:30, or 7, depending on where your information comes from). Thanks, Rye Ridge, for wasting my time and giving me nothing to show for it.

Omg… nice«deli» but $ 14.99 for most boars head sandwiches.. really? Most expensive Deli I’ve ever visited and the quality was sub-par. Just because it’s a wealthy area doesn’t mean that you double charge

Quick service, friendly waiter, but food was sub-par. Soup was bland, fries soggy and everything was overpriced. The place is clean and well stocked. Might be good for take out sandwiches, but avoid the sit down area for good food.

I can guarantee that every positive comment on here about this deli is either a friend, owner, or a family member of someone who works there or are staff. This place stinks. This deli is over priced and the food is substandard. Don’t buy a few sandwiches and have them on a platter, they will charge you an extra $ 10.00 for the plastic platter. If you need a few napkins and plastic silverware they will charge you $ 14.00. This place is ridiculous and I would avoid this deli like the plague.

This place is absolutely amazing! Any of the poor reviews are a result of cheapness or ignorance. A classy high end kosher deli. I remember back in the day when this place was a dumpy old diner type restaurant and my grandma took me here for matzo ball soup and corn beef on rye. Now it is a beautiful and pleasant place to eat. My favorite aspect of this place will always be the pickles served on the table. A few half sour and a few full sour. They are using Lavazza coffee which is also a bonus! Dont forget to pick up a few scratch off lottery tickets and see if you can win the jackpot, or at least pay for lunch :)

Expensive, but good lord is the roast beef heavenly. Might be the best cold roast beef sandwich that I’ve ever had. Not an ounce of brown on the roast beef. Thinly sliced, perfectly rare, soft roast beef. The fries were good, service was average. I’m now poor, but at least I’m happy.

My office ordered lunch to go as we sometimes do. I ordered the grilled chicken ceasar wrap, found a hair inside!!! Disgusting!!! When I called to complain the manager did not even apologize, actually he didn’t even seem surprised. Unbelievable!!! Needless to say my office will take their business elsewhere!!!

This place is overpriced!!! The food is just ok, and the prices are way more then what you would pay at other deli’s in the area. The deli is clean, and they do offer catering and delivery

Insanely expensive. I had to get my sick fiancé some matzoh ball soup, and Rye Ridge Deli was the only option in Rye Brook. We spent $ 50 for lunch, and only got a sandwich, fries(didn’t come with), 2 soups, and a Lipton tea. Seriously?

Extremely, unbelievably, ABSURDLY overpriced, even for Westchester! Service wasn’t even good! It was slow and inefficient. I will not be returning. I had a decent turkey wrap… nothing remarkable. They had some attractive baked goods, but really, none of this is even worth reporting on because the prices are absurd.

Place with the rudest service I ever experienced. And I lived in Germany and therefore am used to low service quality, but this experience was a new all time low. We went there two days in a row, as we were with small children and it was convenient located for us. After the experience of the first visit I still gave them the doubt of having a bad day, but the second visit: different waiter, same rudeness. We will not come back, and I would advice everyone, especially with kids, to avoid the place.
