Took my husband on a surprise date to see Steve-​O. They called ahead of time and set up the seating arrangements. We got there an hour before the show started and ordered dinner. The place was packed, but the service was excellent! The food was wonderful and the show as great as well. Great spot to dine and laugh!

Reminds me of «clubs «in the 60’s when I had to go with my parents. That aside, the place is very nice. Food, which is primarily Italian, was great and huge portions. Servers pleasant and well versed. Grandma Lee was the comedy show. Raunchy but hysterical. Will definitely come again.

We ordered the fresh egg fettucine which was good. The first comedian was young and talking about podcasts, most people in the audience had no idea what a podcast was, being tall, funny for a line or two. The second guy was Mark Klein. He was pretty good. We couldn’t find a waitperson once the show started so having additional cocktails didn’t happen. Unusual for a nightclub. Most comedy places we’ve visited over many years have a 2 drink minimum and the waitstaff are usually there to get anyone a drink at any time. But this is Port Charlotte not Boston, NYC, DC, etc. You get what you pay for.

I have been going to Visani from the day it opened.
We have always enjoyed our visit and always recommend to friends and out of town guests. The food has always been excellent, Mark did a fantastic job with this venture, always had fantastic commeadiens and entertainment.
We (party of 13) attended last night, 4.27.16. I don’t know if the kitchen had a off night or because of the new owners and the higher cost of food, but our food was not up to the usual standard we knew and relied on. I ordered Paella and my wife ordered Chicken Parm. The Seafood Shrimp Paella contained 4 mussels, 3 clams, 4 shrimp, and too much chicken, and no flavor from Saffron. This is the first time I ever had Andui? Sausage in Paella. The standard is Chorizo. The Chicken Parm. had little flavor in the bread coating and was not processed (hammered) for thickness consistency. One piece was over an inch thick tapering off like a wedge. I did not take a survey, but there were 3 other comments on the food.
I will still recommend Visani and hope that some issues are resolved. I only hope this was your presepttion of these events and not just the new owner.

It was a fun and great night at the comedy club… you can see that it was under new management — starting with their website— but the food is great and they have funny comedians… definitely a fun date night or leisure time out.

Went with my wife to have dinner and see a Tina Turner tribute band. First, the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with warm and cozy feeling to the indoor décor. Second, the meal was truly one of the best I have had anywhere, at any restaurant and for only $ 44 including the show — you can’t beat it. I had the grilled salmon — entire meal was A+. Third the Tina Turner band (Simplytina) was by far one of the best bands my wife and I have ever seen ever. The singer was personable and looked like tina turner and she and the band played these songs to perfection — it was truly a concert and not just some bar band playing a few tunes. Will def go back again, certainly for the food and hopefully they will have some other great bands there in the future as well. If you live in the area (or even if you don’t) check this place out !!

First time here the other night for a fundraiser. The food I got was delicious, my husbands not so much. The service was horrible, starting off with our waitress telling us about her cancer, and misleading him into getting a steak that was less then 6 oz, when he was told it was enough to share between two people. When he asked she directed him to the menu, had him read the description, then replied with «we have a dessert menu in case you don’t fill up.» Then after winning free raffle tickets, the manager called us and left a message on our phone telling us to «rip them up «and that we «were no longer welcome at the establishment» because of leaving a 15 percent tip. Maybe it was just an off night but for a first time experience it wasn’t good.

Just had dinner. I had the sirloin bacon wrapped with Gorgonzola — was excellent. Joe had salmon which was very good. Rather noisy here. Awaiting comedy show now.

The ONLY good thing is that the food is reasonably OK. Our experience featured a «so-​called» comedian/​magician who tries but FAILS to imitate «Carrot Top»…HE WAS TERRIBLE in every respect. He did not perform even one magic trick! CORNPONE! We could not wait for a chance to rush for the exit. If management had a «Shepard’s Hook», they should have pulled Mr. Lee off the stage. The theater was far too crowded, noisy and uncomfortably warm. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I’ve always had the best meal at Visanis but just recently we had dinner there in the small dining room and we were with another couple. We ordered an appetizer which was delicious and I was very confused about what I had for my main entrée! I had shrimp a la vodka! What I expected was a sauté of shrimp on my fresh pappardelle pasta! The shrimp were breaded fried small appetizer style shrimp thrown onto the pasta and the sauce was also nothing special! This was the first time ordering this and if that’s the way they prepare this it will be my last! Even my friends thought it odd that the shrimps were fried! I’ve had better bottled vodka sauce also! I chose not to send it back because we were with another couple but I should have and ordered something else. The other meals were fine and needless to say I was very disappointed with my meal. As I said this was the first time that I had a bad meal here! In spite of this I will still be a customer there

We just saw a comedy show tonight and enjoyed our dinner at Visani. We drove down from Sarasota and the drive is totally worth it! The two comedians who performed were hilarious. Nothing beats laughing hysterically while enjoying some amazing food in a great atmosphere on a Saturday night.
Tickets were super affordable at $ 12 each while dinner for two cost about $ 50. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Bacon Wrapped Gorgonzola Sirloin with Mashed Potatoes and Veggies. The steak was delicious and very tender. My boyfriend had a pasta dish with meatballs and judging by how he quickly cleaned the plate — that was delicious as well. Our Calamari appetizer was also very tasty.
Service was very friendly. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable with great lighting and decoration. The building has a neat castle theme which is different, but very cool. If you’re looking for a great evening out filled with lots of laughs and delicious food that won’t break the bank, I highly recommend visiting Visani! I’ll continue to come back.

When people think of Visani’s, they think of having a meal before seeing a comedy show. While this is a fun evening, a meal at Visani’s doesn’t need to be attached to the comedy show. The food is great on its own.

Excellent experience notwithstanding the circumstances and my saddened mood. Bob chose this place to have a luncheon for mourners after my mother’s services at a local Catholic Church. Here are my thoughts:
* Excellent and appropriate décor
* Their own parking lot around freestanding building, Score! Never a shortage.
* The Chicken Marsala was better than expected!
* Steak tips with asparagus were delish, too!
* Excellent service from our uniformed and professional staff whom are obviously well managed!
* No gouging on drinks. I was really impressed that, despite having a big and captive audience of over 110 folks that wanted and needed drinks, this operation didn’t charge top shelf or captive prices. Nicely played!
* The Cannolis are apparently «authentic» and delish. I didn’t try one.
This is a A-​1 type of operation, and I have a discerning eye. Well done.
Bob tells me their weekend pre-​show pasta parties are the Bee’s Knees. Maybe when I’m done with my paleo-​diet phase.

Last night, my friend and I went to Visani to see a local band, TAT2. We had a great time!
The chicken parmesan was excellent, as was the caramel cheesecake. Even the salad was fresh and tasty.
TAT2 sounded great — Visani has a wonderful sound system. They even pipe it into the restrooms so you won’t miss a song. This 3-​piece band was perfect for the room, and they were excellent musicians. People were dancing, clapping, and talking to the band after the second encore.
I recommend Visani if you want a fun evening that includes dinner and a show!

Just got back from the best night out. Our server Wendy was the best. She gave great advice and helped make our night. The food was wonderful and the bad Jersey boy comic was awesome. When in town you must go.

Oh my … some of the best Italian food I’ve ever experienced.
Everything made from scratch… salad dressing (which was excellent-​both dressing and salad content). Home made egg plant parmigiana, choice of pasta, and sauce. It was excellent. Service was fast and waitress was knowledgeable. Highly recommend it!

I have been several times and have never been disappointed. We usually try to get a larger group to go every couple of months. It is a wonderful night out and not too pricy. They offer an upgrade to homemade pasta with the entrees… I highly recommend! It is almost as good as my mothers pasta!

Excellent homemade food, two for one wine specials, and good comedy shows. I always come here when visiting my parents to catch a buzz and enjoy some Italian food even if I am forced to eat at 5pm

We went here with another couple. Food was great! Pay for the optional hand made pasta. We each ordered something different and sampled each.
I will tell you the steak was ok. But the pasta was awsome! The service was great. I will tell you that I have never tried this place because honestly the place looks like a strip club on the exterior.
Price wise it is about the same as going to a chain like Outback or Carabbas and taking a movie after. We really loved the comedy show. I will honestly say that this is a unique place that we will return to on a regular basis.

Delicious food, good cocktails, and usually a good show —
(food has been consistently good after visiting this place 5 times)
Would say the attire is more dressy casual than anything formal but it’s Florida after all and in that kind of heat, casual typically = cooler.
Highly recommended for a celebration of any kind, or if friends/​family in town for a visit. Unique décor —
