What an awesome place, we just moved into town and stopped in after dinner to see if they had any tasty ports. Steve and Clay went out of their way to find us just the right one, they were very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. They made our visit a great experience and we will definitely be giving them more of our business. Great job guys, can’t wait to come back!

Friendly service, good prices and delicious food. My husband and I stopped by the waterfront looking for some lunch and wine. This was a cute place and I’d recommend going.

We were thinking about dinner and decided to spend some time in this wine bar. It was ok, not great but not awful. Wine pours were reasonably priced and the pours a fair size for the price. There were an interesting Spanish garnacha and a fascinating Washington cab/syrah. We had a cheese plate which at $ 10 for two cheeses seemed high but maybe not. Our server was busy doing other things so I needed to get her attention by going to the bar as did the other table. On the other hand, we asked her advice on local restaurants and she gave excellent advice.

Surprisingly cute wine bar on the pier; unprepossessing from the outside, but a lot of personality inside! Floor to ceiling bookshelves with various cookbooks and other type of books. The staff is friendly and nice, service is good. They have a variety of wines, and it’s the first place up here that I’ve found a buttery, full bodied Chardonnay – most of the WA chards are lighter and more fruity. Definitely a nice place to have a couple glasses of wine and just chill.

Great atmosphere. This is agreat wine bar. They have a lot of great domestic and imported wines. The cheese platters are really great. It is actually the first time I get a four piece cheese platter, where all cheeses are great.

This is a cool wine bar in the landing building in PA by the waterfront. Very open feel with high ceilings and lots of windows. Wine is stored from floor to ceiling with cool library like ladders. The selection of wine is really good. They have«special«rotating selections as well. Ask to try the wine before you order. Prices are average for a wine bar, although I think the pours are a bit skimpy. My favorite wine is our local Camaraderie Cellars Cabernet Franc– the price of a bottle was very reasonable! They also have a good selection of beer. Sometimes they have music in the room next door-cool but the room is not as nice. We have heard some great performers here and did not have to pay a cover. They offer some small plates that are good– although SMALL. I like the fruit and cheese plate although I wish it came with more crackers(although another Unilocaler has a photo with LOTS of crackers-hmmm). I probably would have given them 4 stars but the service has been really bad a few times– the servers were pretty snarky. But then at other times it has been really good. Parking can be tight on the upper level, but there is usually something on the lower level.

We stopped in here a few weeks back. The wine choices were good, they did have a limited menu, but the food was really good. What we really liked was the service, and the people everyone there even the other customers were all very friendly. There is a good open feel to the place, and if we ever travel the way again it is worth a stop.

My bf and I went here to kill time before dinner reservations and had the best time. Everything – the wine, the cheese plate, the ambiance, the service – was excellent. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner(can’t recall his name). He told us to have a seat anywhere. We sat by the window so we could look outside and he immediately asked us, «Shall I draw the blinds so the sun isn’t in your eyes?» We said ‘no thanks’ and looked at the menu. We couldn’t decide what to order, so he reminded us that we were welcome to sample anything we wanted(HUGE pours, mind you). When I said I liked sweet white wines, he offered the special of the day and a riesling. The special turned out to be a moscato blend that was amazing so I went with that. My bf ordered a red which he also liked, and we shared a cheese plate with three cheeses. The cheese plate was ginormous! The owner said we would get 2 oz. of each cheese, but it seemed more like 3 or 4 oz. of each! Plus, it came with sliced apple, grapes, and a huge stack of fancy crackers. We were stuffed on the cheese plate before dinner. The entire tab was less than $ 30(my wine was $ 5 a glass because of the special when it’s usually $ 10/glass) Overall, I can’t emphasize enough how thorough, helpful, and generous he was. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this place to anyone living or visiting Port Angeles.

A hidden gem! Friendly, down to earth staff coupled with a relaxed, casual atmosphere make this a fun place to while away an evening. Wines for every palate and pocketbook. I picked up some wonderful Bordeaux for only 10 dollars.

Excellent wine and food café. Perfect place to eat and drink after you’ve parked your car at the ferry dock and are waiting for boarding time. Had the Fig and Honey dish and the local smoked salmon with goat cheese dish. Excellent!

My wife and I received a gift certificate for food and decided to have dinner on an overnight stay. After checking in at the hotel we found out the place doesn’t have a kitchen. Concerned that our plans were for naught, we called to find out they serve a «light dinner» faire. We decided to go since we had a gift certificate and didn’t want to waste it. We arrived at «The Landing», a mall/art gallery on the waterfront at 8pm on a Tuesday. When we got upstairs we found the open air«wine bar» and were pleasantly greeted by Melanie. We sampled a few local and not so local wines and had a «baby pizza», and a cured ham and cheese platter(I can’t spell the variety of cheese). The food was made with local ingredients and the vegetarian pizza was MUCH tastier than the«carnivore». We were concerned that a light dinner wouldn’t be enough, but between the cheese platter and pizzas it was plenty. I would recommend a visit to anyone, especially if you enjoy sampling wines and want to learn about the local varieties. Melanie was knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly.

It’s not EXACTLY on the waterfront, meaning there wasn’t much of a waterfront view but it was pretty awesome. The service was cute and very knowledgeable. We were able to try the wines before ordering a bottle. Everyone in my party was very pleased with the delicious local Camaraderie Cellars Cabernet Franc. We also ordered the 2 cheese plate(lots of local options), though I very much enjoyed the Wensteydale Fig & Honey. They were great about making us feel good about our restaurant reservations and confirmed the place we picked was well worth the wait!

On a tour through PA we stopped for lunch at Wine on the Waterfront. It’s a little out of the way, upstairs at the Landing on the waterfront. We stuck our heads around the door, immediately the staff were super-friendly. The place is light and airy by day with room for both lunch/evening diners and adjacent room for live light music. Sat at the bar, and picked off the lunch menu — sandwiches, light-plates, and samplers. We each had a panini-style fresh bread sandwiches. I had prosciutto+goats cheese, my compadres got smoked salmon. We also threw in a couple of glasses of vino and beer for good measure. WotW had an excellent selection of wines by the glass — asked to be entertained with a local red, got pointed to the Harbinger Tempranillo, really tasty decent glass — great advice! Sandwiches arrived, good but not excessive portions, with a little side-salad of greens for good measure, lightly coated in a delicious fresh dressing. Prices, about right for the quality of the ingredients. Was tempted by the cheese plates using local cheeses but ran out of time — will come again another time to enjoy. Added bonus — our host was a fellow ex-pat Brit — he made the afternoon extra special — Thanks Andy! PS. that pub was called the Orlando :-)

My husband and I stumbled on this gem of a wine shop/café just a couple of days ago and were so thrilled to have tasty, local wine and food for such reasonable prices. We especially loved the dry, Peninsula-made cider and the smoked salmon sandwich. The service was outstanding as well. We wished we could have stayed in town long enough to listen to the music that was on tap and to taste upcoming chowder delights! When we come back to Port Angeles, however, we definitely will head back to Wine of the Waterfront!

Wine, Classes, Beer, Trivia, Seafood… WOW indeed! This place has become my second home when I am visiting PA. The servers are knowledgeable and the owner is well versed in the Wine and Food arts. Try something from WA or Spain… Have some paired cheeses and charcuterie. Come during Mystery Bay Seafood nights and have clams, oysters and chowder. Why can’t big towns have this type of place? Make sure you check out the beer selection, if that is what tickles your fancy. They have a great selection of bombers, as well as canned beer… for the bikers out there. Finally, you can always grab a couple bottles before you get on the ferry. You can take two to Canada and it is much cheaper on the US side than if you buy it from our friends to the North.
