A local family run business that puts Subway to shame. They have the best sub sandwiches. They also have salads and u-bake pizzas. They have 4 different specials posted weekly to meet anyone’s taste. They owner and employees are very friendly. Homemade soups too. Having this sandwich shop in town is an honor!

Great food and great service. Quick place to grab lunch with the best sandwich selections. Definitely a go-to place in Port Angeles.

This place is neither better or worse than Subway. They love to put black olives on everything, even when I ask without them. All the sandwiches come drenched in mayo so be sure to have something to scrape it off.

I thoroughly enjoy Drake’s. I typically get the Caesar chicken wrap because it’s absolutely delicious. The chicken is flavorful and there’s even a bit of guacamole in there that I would’ve never thought to add to such a dish. The service is always with a smile and the prices are reasonable. The parking lot only holds a few cars, so you’re might have to park on the busy Lincoln Street or on the cramped side road.

Always a good place to swing in for lunch. The food is solidly good and cheep the dining area and parking lot are small and can make things a little tricky but not really a big deal.

I agree with some of the reviews here you could go get a better sub at Safeway! Or subway even, just down the street. I had the meatball sub and the bread they use gets so soggy. It just was so bland and gross. I was so disapointed because it was recommended by a friend.

Drake’s may not look like much on the outside, but the food says it all. We happened on the place by accident this trip, but next time it will be intentional. Definitely worth the stop.

We stop here whenever we go to Port Angeles. I wish there was a location in Sequim! The Three Cheese and Veggie sub is my favorite. Fresh baked hoagie roll, lot’s of oil and vinegar with italian herbs please! The establishment itself is super tiny once you are inside. They can seat around twelve people, so you may have to take your food togo. Parking in the lot can also be an issue but there is plenty of street parking. The staff is very friendly and polite. The menu is clear and concise. I don’t think Subway even compares to Drake’s, but that is just my opinion. Try it out for yourself and make your own decision.

Love this place(over Subway)! You are a name here, whenever possible, not just another order as Subway is. Cheap prices, good food. and fast service! Can’t beat it!

This is probably a bit harsh, but I’m not all that impressed by these subs. They’re pretty much the same price as a Subway down the street, but I don’t actually think they’re as good. I had a pastrami and swiss, which conjures up visions of nice, savory cured meat and good, nutty swiss… but was actually pretty much completely tasteless«pastrami» and white american«cheese,» with a ridiculous amount of mayonnaise. Note to self — order without mayonnaise. The french bread was also pretty weak — very flimsy loaf, without any nice… bread flavor, for lack of a better term. It filled me up fine, but… I would seriously rather hit up a Subway. I’m sure I’ll be back — they’ve got a big menu, so there’s probably other stuff to try, but… meh.

This is an awesome sub place. It was in PA long before there was any other sub chain. When I moved away, it was one of those places that we missed and every time we would come back we had to get the #19, the club plus, or the Meatball. It kick’s the chain’s subs. The staff is fast and the subs are great. The parking is limited,(just drive around the block, a spot will open up, they are fast!) And for the price, the take-n-bake pizza’s are well worth it.

This place is garbage, i’d say their subs are mediocre at best. I used to work in Port Angeles and every so often my boss would buy us subs from this place. I’ve tried the pastrami and the works and both were ok, bread was nothing special, the meat was probably a safeway special and they put green peppers on them which taste like they are made of rubber. I also tried the steak and swiss once and they steak was tough and hard to chew. This is just your average sub place that makes half-assed subs

Stopped here on my way to the coast and enjoyed my sub so much we made sure to stop in again on our way back. Did this on two separate trips! It’s not life-changing or anything, it’s basically like Subway but with fresher ingredients, better sandwiches and, you know, a soul. The staff was very nice and the prices are great.
