My boyfriend and I wandered into this sleepy town not knowing what to expect. Barhop Brewery was awesome! Ashley, our bartender, was super knowledgable about beer and the history of the place, and we were also impressed by the beers. The ESB was fantastic!

Great, handmade artisan pizza. Friendly staff, free pool and live music on Friday nights! Waterfront view, with outdoor seating in the summer. Great place to relax and catch up with friends over some local brews!

Great place — love the atmosphere and free pool! It was great to have so many in-house brews to choose from(recommend the flights to find the best one for you). My only wish would be for more pizza options — we had three and they were amazing, would’ve loved to have more options to choose from! Will be back!

The good: The service and the pizza are good here. I like the atmosphere and the location is sweet. The bad: we tried one of the in house beers and both kegs(they opened a new one after I commented) were off and/or infected. The quality control needs to come up if they want to make it as a beer maker. I probably won’t go here again. In the NW you’ve got to hit hard with good beer.

Great people, nice pool table, good food. There were plenty of beers on tap, including a tasty rye brewed in house. I can bring my kid year round, my dog in the summer. Drink/eat/play local.

We stayed in Port Angeles for our honeymoon in September 2015. Barhop was the first place we went to on our first night and we returned 2 more times! It was a cool place to hang out. The bartenders were super friendly, the food was great and they have a great selection of local beer. It’s laid back and unpretentious. A perfect way to begin and end our honeymoon!

This place is just so so. It smells like bleach. There is insufficient seating at the bar and virtually no staff. Thus you will wait forever to order a beer. I had the PA7 pale ale. Not much flavor.

The single star is for the table service(not the bartenders) which was rude and extremely unprofessional. We tried this place 2 nights in a row: the first night we had good beers and a delicious flambé’ pizza which was served piping hot. The second night we ordered the same and the pizza arrived lukewarm. We politely told the waiter/cook that the pizza was not hot, as it was the night before, which was a shame considering it is a good product. The waiter brushed us off quite rudely saying he was glad we enjoyed the pizza. We were shocked. We assume, after talking to a very nice bartender, that the guy has to cook the pizzas and also serve them, but that should not be the customer’s problem and it does not justify such unprofessional behavior.

The website said they had a limited menu and they welcome you bringing your own food. Well that’s not exactly true. I guess they haven’t updated their website, because the bartender gave us the stink eye and made us eat outside. They also didn’t really have any in house brews available. Not a good first impression at all. Could’ve been handled much better. I’m willing to give it one more chance.

As a craft brew lover and appreciater, I was looking forward to craft brewed beer from Tom, but due to unforeseen circumstances didn’t happen, just means I have to come back. Had a couple brews before checking into our hotel room and then came back for pizza. The special pizza this night was the Meaty Caprese — YUM!!!

Beautiful location right on the main drive… out door summer seating in the sun! Great! NOT A BREWERY! lol, whys it even in the name?! They do have some common NW craft beers, bartender notified us pizza(only food they have besides salad) would take extra time because of a large order just placed. They get points for her giving us a heads up, always appreciate communication… calling yourself a brewery though… misleading. I wanted to like you!

Good service, beer, the pizza exceeded expectations. Nice location on the water. Our picky teenager ate every bite of his personal pizza, then headed for our pizza to get more.

Had Pale Ale and was just OK, same with sausage pizza and décor. Service was poor. Three stars is a gift.

I want a building like this to start a brewery or bar of my own in some day. You park along the waterfront, cross the narrow little street, and head up the stairs into what had to have been a warehouse for a few decades before at some point it was reborn as a commercial property. You still have the worn timber flooring to prove it. You walk past some cool antiques(an old commercial scale and some other vintage equipment, along with a very sweet-looking foosball table) into a large, high-ceilinged open space. There’s a bar set up in the middle of the floor, with tables and chairs tucked back into bays that probably used to be loading stalls. The bar is constructed simply, but the open feeling of the room predominates. There’s a big chalkboard on the wall. They pour a couple of their own beers and maybe a dozen(or slightly fewer) guest taps. Their own beers were strangely watery, but the guest selections were pretty nice. There’s wine as well, from Harbinger. The staff here is very nice for sure. They offer pizzas, which looked and smelled decent, but we weren’t ready for lunch yet. Bottom line, this is a pretty fun place for a quick beer, but there are serious beer establishments a couple blocks over, and there isn’t enough waterfront view(nor fresh air) to make this place the absolute first choice in town for a pint. But I’d have no problem coming back someday.

Sorry to say, this place was a clunker both times I’ve been in. It has a prime location on the PA waterfront, but other than that it just strikes out. The interior is a wasteland, and the beer they brew, frankly, is awful. Nothing to recommend about it. Updated August 2015: I’ve boosted their rating because they may be coming around. They seem to have dropped their own beer(GOODIDEA) and are going strictly with guest taps. Nothing earth-shattering on their small list, but it’s a start. They also make tasty artisan pizza. My wife and tried the curry one and it was delicious. Give them another try.

Not very good curb appeal or bar appeal inside. However, it has it’s own brew and local crafts. No food here but you can bring it with you. All and all a good stop for micro/craft brews. 2nd stop. Rating TBD to go up or down.

Barhop is in a fun area in Port Angeles! It is located nearby to the ferry that heads to Victoria so those travelers who want a brew before or after their boat ride can come here! I tried several of their beers. I had Barhop’s IPA that they had on tap. It was good and had a unique aftertaste to it! The PA was pretty good too! The brewery has a broad range of hours throughout the week which is always helpful and the taproom itself is a good place to relax at.

OK selection of regional brews; only 3 of the taps were theirs during our visit. Of theirs that we sampled, they were OK and worth a try if you’re in the area. Nice sunny outdoor seating area to enjoy the pint and view from. Service was nice but they seemed understaffed; there was but one person behind the counter, and a line 12 people deep when we got there. About 10 minutes to get to the counter and order two pints.

Good beer — Awesome service — Natalie is amazing! This place is great — used to be a T-shirt shop — before that it was an antique shop — now it’s a micro brewery that brews delicious beers and has local beers on tap. Bands every Friday. Fun times.
