We were staying at the resort and stopped by for a casual drink and snacks. Truthfully, from the slightly drab décor we were expecting less but the bartender was fantastic as were the drinks and food. We had the sangria and a gin and tonic then polished off the Cajun fry and shrimp– both were great and hit the spot between a late breakfast and dinner. The lodge in comparison with the inn was much less happening and lacked a certain atmosphere, but nevertheless did not insult the senses. Overall would definitely recommend if you are staying at the resort or in the area, although it’s probably not a «destination».

Over the past 10 years, my wife and I have stayed at The Lodge about half a dozen times. This past weekend was our first visit since the property was renovated. We have always loved the rooms and the property, and were taken back by the facelift that The Lodge was given(which in all honesty, probably was not 100% necessary). The rooms, grounds, and views are all perfect. Typically, my wife and I use The Lodge as a break from the kids and a chance to unwind. This visit, we opted to bring the kids along, and they too had a great time. Our room was large enough for 3 kids(including a baby in a pack n’ play), and having the kitchenette is extremely helpful. The new-ish splash park at the family pool was a hit and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure that the guests are content. I was especially impressed that one of the desk clerks(Alex) remembered my name after briefly meeting me at check in on the night prior. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, or beach weekend with the kids, The Lodge is as good as North Florida has to offer.

If you have been considering becoming a member of The Lodge & Club I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve been a member for nearly 20 years and I have seen such a decline in all aspects of the amenities and facilities. My focus on this post is to highlight the recent closure of The Lodge & Club’s restaurant. This past July 31, 2015 the restaurant was closed because of 21 live roaches and two high-priority violations for food being at the wrong temperature. This is very disturbing information for my friends and family that visit the restaurant often. I realize this type of thing happens but not a place that brags about being a Four-Diamond hotel. Food safety should be a top priority. The Lodge & Club is just status quo and now my family doesn’t feel safe eating the food provided at The Lodge. My experience with the management team has also been disappointing. The management team has the mentally, if you don’t like it don’t renew your membership. The recent last few years have been a huge disappointment.

I really enjoyed this spot. Paradise. As one reviewer said, ‘a laid back style of a resort’. Yet, very classy, outstanding service, amazing beaches and really good food/drinks. The margaritas are superb. Plenty of activities for everyone. I also really enjoy the outside bar by the beach(music on Sunday). I will return.

Now I have been going to the Lodge since the red headed guy bought it way back way. The place was built by the Haskel Corp and most of the materials were pretty sup par. making the upkeep hard and replacement parts almost impossible. Now I have also stayed at the lodge a few time and I really do like it. It’s a Mediterranean style resort with a very talented staff. The location is top notch with the ocean right there. There is only one main restaurant but then you have the Inn down the road with 5 restaurants. This is more of a laid back style of resort, Just kick back and enjoy the beach and the nice digs too.

Spent the night here on our way to Atlanta. Our room was amazing! The property is beautiful! The beach was clean and was so nice at sunset! We ate at the restaurant inside. Food was great! You really can’t beat this place!

What a great view! My sister in law and her family stayed here so we came to visit them and hang out with the kids. We had a great time playing in the sun and sand. The service and food were both good.

Always a delightful experience. Their staff is well-trained and accommodating, and they have a great outdoor bar/pool area with beach access. Valet parking is $ 5(which is helpful to know beforehand if you’re only going for the day to visit).

We came here for dinner with Vistakon. Gorgeous view of the ocean, too bad the week I was in town, it was unseasonably cold! the best app was: Lobster puff w jack Daniel honey mustard sauce. we couldn’t get enough! Hummus on cucumber amuse buche. mediocre. nothing fantabulous. Jerk chicken w sweet potato bun. Lots of rosemary, a bit pungent on that note, but otherwise i liked how they made their bun based on sweet potato. great color to it. Greens — yummy. fresh and light. great vinaigrette on it! Surf n turf. the turf was über buttery. and the steak was done medium well, if not well done. boo, as i like my meat medium rare and bleding. Chocolate bombe. awesome dessert. 4 stars for the salad and dessert, but only 2 stars for the main dish… thus the 3 star average.

Spectacular view… unfortunately it’s facing the East coast of Florida so no sunset, but the ocean is right in your face and the seating is limited so it feels nice and private. The food was on par for a resort, but nothing like downtown SF or NY fare. Prices were reasonable and the wine list was decent, although they had two Margeaux, two Moutons and a Cheval Blanc. All of them far superior to the food. Not sure why they were on the menu. For the most part, the food is suitable to the price on the menu so you will not feel ripped off, but to me it was closer to above average wedding food than award winning dining.

The Lodge & Club is a beautiful beachfront resort. It’s got a world-class fitness center, fabulous restaurants, and several pools all with a view of the ocean. The rooms are a little pricey — but not a bad deal if you’re a member. I’ve stayed here once or twice and always enjoyed myself. I’ve eaten in the dining room and at the outdoor deck several times. I’ve even had Thanksgiving dinner here once. And it was one of the best Thanksgiving dinners we had. We had a 50th Anniversary party here for my dad’s parents and it was soo much fun. If you’re looking for a memorable vacation, the Lodge can provide one for sure.
