No bugs, the house and immediate surroundings were infested with cockroaches, carpenter ants, Formosa Termites and lots of prior termite damage.
No plumbing problems but the kitchen drain line was rotted out and food and water drained into a crawl space infested with happy cockroaches.
New roof required — just in inexpensive repair did the job.
This firm is terrible and some of their «inspectors» are totally incompetent. These guys cost me a lot of money, I just don’t have the time to file a law suit — although they deserve one.

Our inspection date was 8÷29÷2014. 8 months later we need to replace our entire AC unit. The inspection report states, «no repairs required.» Photos were included of the unit. The photos were of the outside of the unit. It’s obvious no one actually inspected the unit. Once open, the AC serviceman noted that the multiple problems had not occurred in just 8 months. I’m not going to write a long review. The short version is that this realtor recommended home inspection team doesn’t even deserve one star, but since you can’t give no stars… you get the idea.

I hired Home Team Inspection Services to inspect a new home purchase based on a recomendation by our real estate agent. They were very expensive and sent out several people, so I was expecting a very thorough result. Needless to say I was extremely dissapointed. When we moved in we found a number of problems that were not even noted, including 3 leaking faucets, two leaking toilets, a toilet not attached to the floor properly, a non-​operating automatic cleaner in the pool, a clogged water line to the refrigerator, a washed out section of sand under the pool deck, a clogged gutter and a non-​fuctioning light fixture in the garage. When I expressed my frustration I was told that these types of things are not their responsibility to find. They are only looking for things that are over $ 1000 and indicated it was my job to look for these other things during my walk-​through. In my previous experience with inspection companies they found all these types of items. I would strongly encourage people to look into more details on how inspection companies approach their business in South Florida and would definitely not recomend Home Team.

We used them recently to inspect a house we were planning to buy. They don’t just send one person but a team of people who have expertise in the areas needing inspection. They were all on time, efficient and extremely thorough. And because they send a team the inspection isn’t a drawn out process. Report was thorough and uncovered both major and minor defects, including the life expectancy of several items and areas that would likely require replacement in the near future. Highly recommend.
