I honestly had such an amazing experience from the moment of first walking through the doors! The owner was so accommodating in offering me a complimentary beverage as well as some good conversation! I absolutely love the way the salon is decorated and felt right at home here. My stylist Shannon really exceeded my every expectation with her attentiveness and friendly personality! She did such an outstanding job! I have never received so many great compliments on my hair! Shannon really did make me look and feel like a million dollars! This place ROCKS!!!

Great atmosphere and staff. The salon’s décor is really nice. Got a great cut from Sheri who was nice enough to squeeze me in right before closing time. She gave me 20% off to boot. I love my hair cut and can’t wait to go next time to check out the funky monkey boutique.

Ok this place is as good as it gets!!! The staff and owners are awesome and so beyond welcoming! The environment and the salon itself is hip and just super cool but all this still doesn’t compare to best hair designer ever… Casey!
She is amazing!!! She will listen to everything you have to say and give you exactly what you want every time! I have going to her for two years and will never go to anyone else. My har pulls is brown but pulls red and no stylist has been able to figure out to keep the red permently out except Casey. I also have a lot of problems maintaining color between visits, Casey recommended the perfect color line and I’ve been using it for two years and loving it. Also the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten … Bar none.
Bottom line… Go see Casey!!! It will be the best haircut and color you will ever get!

I like the whole vibe of Urban Roots – very friendly and a bit off beat – but this review is really for Casey. She is the BEST colorist I’ve ever met. For several years she gave me low lights in my graying hair, and everyone always thought it was my natural color. There was never a root line. Then when I decided to let it go natural, she helped me do that slowly so it never looked like the white was growing in either.
The best, however, is that I love having funky & bold colors in my hair – pink, purple, and teal. Casey is a MASTER at placing them just perfectly, and she’s cooked up some magic formula that makes them last for months. I love my crazy hair colors, and Casey does them just right. Gives a good cut, too!

I have followed Cami from several different salons and I’m so pleased that she opened her own place. She and Matt and great, the surroundings are hip, fun and I must say I look forward to going there each time, I especially like they offer beverages and really like the wine after a crazy day at work.

I love this place. It’s hip. The people here are the best. They have an attached boutique with great stuff in (Funky Monkey Boutique).
I’ve been going to my hairdresser — Maria — for years and years and am thrilled that this is where she has landed.
They are a non-​kid place, which makes it relaxing. No kids waiting and causing trouble. They offer soft drinks, coffee, and wine (which I have indulged in from time to time).
LOVE IT.
