Let’s be honest, this place is overpriced. Yes they have beautiful things and their customer service is excellent, but these prices gurl. I couldn’t imagine spending 150 $ on a charcoal grill that looks like something I could buy at Walmart for under 50 $. Besides the negative, there were positives. The employees were again, nice. The store was completely stocked(probably because everyone can buy it cheaper elsewhere), and it was very clean(again probably because no one was actually there). Will I be back? Probably, because I was given a gift card, but I would probably go elsewhere if I was spending my own $$$.

Where to begin? We bought a brand new washer and dryer from Lowes Labor Day weekend that included free delivery and installation of the washer. They delivered the next day which was amazing, we were thrilled with the in-store customer service and delivery initially, then it all started to go wrong… The washing machine was not installed properly. The machine was not balanced properly which damaged the drum. It no longer spins correctly so the water doesn’t drain. If only that was it. The installation team also mixed up the hot and cold water! So a very nice comforter as well as over $ 1000 of dress clothing were ruined due to being washed in hot water and the machine not properly draining! We call Lowes, they say they will reimburse us for the clothing and install a new washing machine. Things happen, mistakes get made I get it, it seemed all would be corrected and we could move on. But no, that’s not what happened! We called in the problem on a Thursday night and were told the manager who could approve the reimbursement was not in until Monday and they would call us then, didn’t happen. New machine is delivered on Sunday and doesn’t work! The poor delivery guy spends an extra 45 minutes trying to troubleshoot the machine to no avail. So we set up a third delivery for Tuesday evening. I get a call today(Monday) about the delivery, saying it’s coming between 12 – 4, which I specifically told them would not work. So I call to correct it and ask to speak to the manager about our reimbursement since nobody has called us back and am once again promised a return call since they were«busy». We just want this to be over. A working properly installed machine and compensation for our ruined clothing and then we will never shop here again. BEWAREOFTHEIRAPPLIANCEDEPARTMENT!

Bosch microwave repair — magnetron — went bad after less than 3 years. Luckily had been talked into a 4 year extended warranty by Lowe’s. Tried Bosch first(forget about the extended!) Bosch didn’t want to cover it. We mentioned we would do an online rant and they for some reason decided to cover the part, but not labor. When looking for the receipt noticed the warranty. Talked to Lowes(couldn’t have been nicer!). They coordinated everything with My Appliance Source. Took 10 days because of ordering the part, but good now! No cost. Would have been almost cheaper to buy a new one. PS. My Appliance wasn’t great at communicating status, like not returning calls, but repairman was very nice. Had to call Lowes to light a fire under My Appliance for them to get part ordered. We had researched the problem on Google and determined because the mw was shutting down after 15 secs it was the magnetron… repairman wasn’t aware of that. He called the brain trust at My Appliance and they concurred! Thank you google and the crowd sourcing internet…

Love this store and all their selections and neat home ideas. I always leave buying something… from Christmas décor, curtains, to cleaning products. And it is a few blocks from my house which makes it so convenient.

Lowe’s a decent place. I shop here a lot, and often compare prices in advance against Home Depot and Menards. They have their fair share of worthwhile goods and some decent sales. I got a good price on a generator, and a nice refrigerator from them in the past few months. Both work great. The refrigerator was delivered and installed free of charge and they took away my old one with no problems, which I am very happy about. It was the last one and I had to talk to a few different sales people(took a few trips) to get a price adjustment for taking the floor model, which was a little annoying, but when I finally got a guy(department manager) interested in considering my request for the sale, I was happy. I have nothing against Lowes, but I do suggest shopping around because sometimes there are significant price differences between local home improvement stores. They also make it easy to buy online and pick-up in store. Very convenient!
