Ice cream here during the summer is a must! Love this place. My personal favorite is rum raisin.

This is such a dangerous place! I came in here with my girl friend and I am lucky I came out alive. They have all the best things! And every day they have a different special! Fridays is buy a piece of fudge, get one free, mix and match! I also bought the marshmallow covered in chocolate and sea salt caramel. I also tried their Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream… just be careful you don’t buy the whole store, they have so many yummy things!

Kilwins is a great stop when your sweet tooth is craving chocolate, ice cream, or fudge. Their Mackinac style fudge is always good!

Kilwin’s have the best ice cream in my book. They have a pretty good selection at this location and they have quite a few of different type of waffle cones. The waffle cone’s at Kilwin’s is the best cone’s I’ve had anywhere. Like most ice creameries they give free samples if you’re not sure which kind you want. They also have a big selection of fudge and ice cream cakes and other things. They have several tables. The service was fast. I wish it was just a little closer to where I live.

I kinda really dig this place. It’s a chain, yes. But it’s a good one. My all time favorite item is the dark chocolate covered orange peels. They are really the bomb — not overly sweet, bite size so you don’t feel too guilty after eating one(or two… or three…). I’m not much of a milk chocolate fan, but I really think you can’t go wrong with any of their dark chocolate treats. Another highlight is their ice cream. The turtle cheesecake is pretty tasty. Their flavors are pretty classic(cookies and cream, butter pecan, etc) — simple but done right. Nice and creamy. And don’t forget to check in so you can use your bogo ice cream cone(bonus!!). The staff is always very friendly. I like that they have a lot of people working the counter — especially during special events like Friday night music in the park. Even if the lines look long, they move fairly quickly.

My husband and I walked by. We love ice cream, but were confused. Should we go in? Next time? No we went in this time. My husband held the door. I walked in. He walked in. We had no clue what to order. He sampled many flavors. All American Berry, Salted Caramel and Plymouth Mud were his favorites. I tasted the cappuccino chip and mint chip and enjoyed them both. Then we saw a basket of alpaca yarn in the corner. We were curious so, we felt it. It was soft. And interesting. Now back to the ice cream. The ice cream was good. The waffle cone is a must. The staff is friendly. Highly recommend!

This is the place to go for ice cream and sweets! A little pricey for ice cream but my kids love it and it’s great to get your treats and walk through Downtown afterward.

I’m biased because of 2 things… I love chocolate and they give free samples to our customers several times a week but regardless of my bias Krista at Kilwins knows her samples are so good that she has been walking free samples across the street to our customers several times a week since we opened( ) in Nov 2012. Drizzled dark chocolate popcorn is my favorite. I usually don’t like fudge because I find it to be heavy and gritty but not hers! It so silky and light compared to other fudges… even the«world famous» Mackinaw fudge doesn’t touch Kilwins Fudge! THEYSELLICECREAMTOO! Perfect place to grab a sweet and walk through Kellogg park directly across the street where the cities festivals and free concerts are centered. Plan an entire day or night out around downtown Plymouth’s attractions! Artistic activities for all ages, sweet shops, restaurants, the historic Penniman theater showing today’s hottest movies and classics… plenty to do!

This shop is adorable, has a big selection, and great prices. There’s many flavors of truffles to try including malt, hazelnut, raspberry, champagne, and many more. There’s probably 6 – 8 types of fudge to choose from, caramel apples, and lots of ice cream. I will say that I sampled the cake batter ice cream, and it was very disappointing. Possibly one of the most disappointing ones I’ve tried(and I’m a bit of a cake-batter-flavored-things snob). But the chocolates were great and I’ll be sure to try some of their other ice cream flavors(there’s a ton to choose from). Staff was friendly, and the truffles ranged in price from about .75 — $ 1 each so that’s pretty good. It’s got indoor seating and super cozy ambiance. I picked up some Father’s Day-themed chocolate-covered oreos for my dad too. They were adorable and it was $ 7.95 for 4 of them(they’re decorated super fancy). Definitely a place to stop by if you’re in town.

I love coming here! Whatever satisfies your sweet tooth, they got chocolate covered apples, turtles, german chocolate fudge, ice cream, marshmallow covered in anything imaginable and gift baskets for upcoming holidays. They have different specials for everyday of the week, it’s a real treat! The young man that waited on us was charming, ordered my usual Rocky Road in the big Waffle cone and since I Unilocal checked in there, you get the sane size cone for free. So my husband took advantage of that deal, what a great ending to a wonderful night strolling around in Downtown Plymouth.

A decadent treat. Delicious fudge and candies as other reviewers have said, but my absolute favorite is the ice cream! Traditional and store/location exclusives. Try the cake batter in a waffle bowl… delish!

Fudge! This place is the fudging bomb! In Europe(and mainly Great Britain), fudge is known to be a treat similar to soft, creamy caramels. Imagine my surprise when I tried a sample at Kilwin’s, and the flavor and consistancy was totally ‘off’ from what I was expecting. It’s like ordering plain milk, and receiving chocolate. Both are yummy, and you know you love chocolate, but when you don’t expect it you kinda make a silly face and you’re thrown for a loop for a few moments. So maybe I needed another sample. It’s official though, I love ‘American’ fudge, this stuff is awesome! My husband is not a big fan of fudge in general(why???), but admits that Kilwin’s is good and it is about the only brand he will take a few bites of. I am partial to classic chocolate fudge, but have to admit that the cookies ‘n cream and peanutbutter varieties are sinful as well. I am a big fan of Kilwin’s chocolate covered pretzels and caramel apples. I allow myself to buy one caramel apple a year, during Fall Festival in downtown Plymouth. Yes, this store is very dangerous and I am keeping it at an arm lenghts distance Our most recent discovery is the ice cream that they sell in the back of the store. Toasted coconut with hot fudge is the stuff that sugary dreams are made of. It is very similar to eating a high quality Mounds bar in ice cream form. The limited salted caramel flavor is everything you had hoped it would be. Creamy, sweet, salty and decadent. If and when you can get it, make yourself happy and jump on that opportunity. Plymouth Ice Festival is coming up, and I’m going to have to stop in for some hot ‘sipping chocolate’. Try this instead of hot chocolate next time you are trying to warm up. It is decadent, delicious and dangerous; everything you would want a treat to be.

It was early at Kilwin’s and they hadn’t started making fudge but the place looked cute and I noticed that they had come out with a new line of salt water taffy. I sprung for a bag of Classic Flavors-eight kinds-molasses, toasted coconut, maple, vanilla, peppermint, licorice, peanut butter, and chocolate. They had me at molasses! $ 5.95 for some memories! Not bad!

Kilwin’s is one of those places you begged to go to as a child, and are nostalgic for as an adult. Not only can you get several dozen different flavors of hand-scooped ice cream, but their confectionery selection is to die for! Chocolate covered(most everything comes in light/milk, dark or white) Rise Krispie treats, oreos, pretzels, turtles — you name it, they’ve doused it in sugary, chocolate goodness. If you have room in your stomach, I’d opt for one of their sundaes in a waffle cone bowl. Even though the description says they are served with«vanilla ice cream», you can pick any flavor you’re in the mood for(try the cake batter!). The caramel(which is REAL, not that fake stuff) and hot fudge are kept warm, and they don’t skimp on the nuts. They even line the bottom of the bowl with hot fudge! The aren’t cheap(between $ 6 and $ 7 for a sundae), but it’s totally worth the extra cash(and calories).

My mom and I stopped in here to purchase more peanut butter and milk chocolate pumpkin shaped candies for our out of town guests. I’d never been to Kilwin’s(I know, difficult to believe!) and well, walking in, I felt like a kid in a candy store. I had trouble deciding what to buy because everything looked delicious. I wanted to try everything. Fortunately, for my hips, we only bought a handful of each of the following: toffee crunch, dark chocolate covered coconut, and mint chocolate covered oreos. Mom and I savored every bite and my dad enjoyed the coconut candies(I know this because they were quickly gone shortly after we arrived home). The chocolate is of superior quality and handmade. We spied a pumpkin fudge and mentioned it to the kind woman working behind the counter. She offered us a sample. Man, oh man… it tasted exactly like pumpkin pie and was divine. They also do custom chocolates. My brother and sister in law had their wedding reception favors(over 100 milk, dark and white chocolate suckers in the shape of leaves) especially made by the staff here at Kilwin’s. These were also very delicious. Oh, and you can order from them online. Though, if you’re ever in Michigan, I highly recommend you drop in. You’ll be happy you did. They’ve been around since 1947. These people know chocolate.

The fudge here is to die for. My fave is the peanut butter and the peanut butter chocolate. I will occasionally indulge in some turtle though or chocolate walnut. The consistency is perfect, soft and dense with a little crust. Heavenly, it melts on your tongue. The almond toffee crunch is evilly good and I also liked the variety of chocolate dipped pretzels. My dad raved about the brittles. Ice cream here is super delicious. My personal fave is the toasted coconut but really you cannot go wrong at all. My husband says the other flavors are good but if the coconut is there that is what I’m eating. Evilness but so tasty, a must try. It was so much easier to resist this stuff when it was further away.
