Gould’s Cleaners

I called and asked if they do dry cleaning pickup and delivery. They said yes. I went to the store to set it up and the lady rudely told me, «why don’t you just pick it up and drop it off yourself.» Flummoxed, I walked out.

Great service and very nice staff. I really appreciate how they care about details, like missing buttons, and fix them even without asking to do that. They are also very careful with clothes, no problem at all until today.

I read the other reviews and I agree lady is adorable and nice little place. All looked good when I decided to use a cleaners closer to home. But, to my dismay they destroyed a simple white long sleeve polyester T-​Shirt by causing the label to come off and cause dark black marks all over shirt. So, disappointed! I lost an $ 85 shirt that was one of my favorites. The «nice lady» we do not know what happened! How can you dry clean something so badly to cause this to happen??? Plus, I had a white dress shirt that has some black marks on it too. I want everyone that chooses to use them to NOT! Stay away!

Gould’s is a nice little dry cleaning store. The owners are super nice, and they haven’t turned any of my shirts into table crackers so far. They do however charge lots more for girl items than boy items. Kinda odd how that rule exists everywhere even though the clothing materials are similar. I digress. Gould’s is a nice little dry cleaning store. Go there. Maybe get some delicious food from Thai Café next door while you are there.

We shopped around a little bit for a dry cleaner after moving into the area and chose Gould after a bad experience at another dry cleaner and have been very happy ever since. We are in about once a week, dropping off both dry cleaning and my husband’s work shirts. They do a really good job — our items come back perfectly done and are available when promised. The proprietors are friendly. They know me by face and can fill out my name on a dry cleaning slip without being told what it is, which is always appreciated and a sign of a service-​focused business.
My only wish is that they could launder my shirts at the same price as my husband’s shirts — but women’s shirts must be dry cleaned and that is more expensive. This discrepancy is the norm in the industry, I just wish it wasn’t the case.
Gould does a great job and the service is excellent.

Liking Goulds is pretty easy. The adorable lady that runs the store is always cheerful and friendly, and provides a great service.
There is something comforting about the smell of cleaners, and I can’t help but smile when I walk in and she is listening to her classical music. Though the place is totally barebones and kind of old, it feels inviting and I do believe it is due to the positive presence of the owner.
Our clothes and items always come back to us clean and fresh, wrinkle free and in a timely manner. We bring our clothes here for alterations or repairs as well, and find the cost and turnaround time competitive to what is being quoted around the area.
