Extra Space Storage

Very friendly staff. Called a week after my move-​in to check on how things went. It’s a very clean facility, convenient for me, and my storage unit is very convenient for moving in and out.
I’ll go ahead and complain about money as well — I’ve seen other Extra Space Storage locations advertising the first month free. Mine was only ½ off. My quote prior to move-​in told me $ 52 was what I would be paying at move-​in, ended up being $ 70 with taxes, insurance, aka things they should tell you when you get a quote. Price for a 5×5 is high in my opinion, but I’ll still remain here as there’s nothing else as convenient for me.

A little over a year and a half ago, I decided to rent a 5″ x 5″ storage unit. With taxes and fees, it came to about $ 97 a month, which felt a little steep to me, but it’s a convenient location and seemed to be a secure facility. Within a few months, my rate was bumped to $ 107 a month, without warning. I took it in stride, knowing that these things some times happen.
Yesterday I logged onto
and found that they are advertising the same units that I use for $ 65 a month! I called them up and asked why there was such a huge delta between the advertised price and what I am paying. They said that they advertise low to get people in the door, then increase their rates after they’ve been with them a few months. They then offered to bump my rate down to $ 85 a month, which, with taxes and fees, comes to $ 100 a month — still more than what I signed up for, and WAY more than what’s being advertised on the site.
This place is a sham. I will be moving my stuff out of there ASAP.

Rented coming from a large one bedroom apt to a single room, got plenty of space in a 10×15. Chanel and Jodi were great. Access is easy and carts are super helpful. Close to the turnpike, well lit at night. No problems so far.

The Plymouth Meeting storage facility is clean and conveniently located. The staff members are incredibly helpful and were able to arrange a great deal for storing my belongings in a 10×10 drive-​up unit. I had a few special requests and the team was very accommodating to ensure everything was more than satisfactory. I highly recommend Extra Space for anyone looking for an affordable and reliable storage option.
