If you’re in Pleasanton, come here for your donuts! This is a long standing business and I’ve been getting my donuts since I was in middle school. Super friendly staff, great selection(donut holes I think are still 12 for a dollar)? They have chocolate milk, coffee, etc. Super yummy donuts, perfect for a treat before school for the kids. Skip Dunkin and all those chains and support your local business!

The first and last time eating here. My husband picked some donuts up on the way home around 10:40 am. Got an assortment of custard filled, jelly filled, glazed and an apple fritter. The fritter was the worst I’ve ever had! There were very few apples(just on the top) no cinnamon flavor and it was greasy and doughy. Some of the other doughnuts were doughy as well. I’m thinking that the oil was not hot enough when they were cooked. The jelly filling tasted terrible, but the custard filling was ok. Only 2 out of 6 donuts tasted ok. Not very good odds. Based on these odds we will never buy donuts here again.

I can’t say«No» to these donuts. So many options, freshly baked right there … Yumm ! Kids love to stop by here for breakfast and grab donut wholes or chocolate donuts. My favorite — glazed or old fashion, hmm. apple crisp not bad either . Excellent service, always fast and friendly. Good choice of fresh coffee . We keep going back!

I wish I could give this place a higher rating because it’s a very homey local family run donut shop but I found the yeast donuts to all be too dry. Who I assume to be the owner who helped me out was very nice. The cake donuts here are standard/good. Soft and moist. Definitely try out their blueberry donut! While I found all the yeast donuts to be too dry, their glazing/icing consistency is perfect though. Not too sweet/just perfect. I might return for the cake donuts, but I’m a bigger fan of yeast donuts! My search for a substitute for Davis’ Fluffy Donut continues

The jelly donut has very delicious donut and donut holes. Today I came with my family for a morning treat and our server was very kind helping us with any question without any impolite or in a rube manner. When we got home and had our treats its felt like donut hevan. And with more types of fillings other than raspberry it’s going to be a hard choice just to choose one favorite. Also with it opening at 5am it’s perfect for any early morning jobs.

I’ve traveled far and wide to find a better donut place and one does not exist. This is the nirvana of donuts. I absolutely love the filled chocolate bar and their prices are awesome. Service is fast. Coffee is great here too and a good deal! Nobody beats the filling of The Jelly Donut. Hit it up early though because if you’re there after like 9:30am, the options become scarce.

I went to The Jelly Donut at 8:00AM. They were out of the classic glazed old fashion. It was 8:00AM!!! I asked if they were going to make more. They said no! However, they continued to bring every other donut out I was extremely disappointed. There statue of Buddah on the wall had a glazed old fashioned donut on his plate. Not me or the customers after me that asked for the same donut. 00

I love their blueberry donuts!!! It is so good. I don’t usually crave donuts, but when I do, the only place I want to go is The Jelly Donut. I had no problem with their service either, good customer service. Their donut prices are reasonable also. I’m not complaining. I would definitely come back whenever I’m craving a donut.

Great Donuts and great costumer service! Friendly people really set the tone for the day for me. They use the custard instead of the cream in the filled donuts… which I like more!

My go-to Saturday morning activity with the kids is to walk with them to the JD. Everyone is really nice and the donuts are amazing. I don’t know what the other poster was talking about re: Apple Fritters. They are the freakin’
They always throw in an extra donut or two in our to-go box, which is always nice. You can’t go wrong with the Jelly Donut!

The reviews for this places seemed SOLID and some even call it Best Donuts in Town… I was disappointed. I’m not sure what time they open but the wife and I rolled up on this place about 5:30-ish AM, it was still dark outside We got three donuts, we each had one and both of us thought not very good, then split the third donut that was very good… perhaps this place is hit and miss depending on what you get? This is a WARNING, DONOT order an Apple Fritter from this place… trust me! Chocolate Twist — «I think» the oil was not hot enough when they made these, a couple areas of the bottom were a bit soft«Too Soft» and was like a small shot of oil when you bit into it. Apple Fritter — The few apples you see on the top, that’s all you get! NO Cinnamon spiced flavor either «A FAILED Execution» of what is a Apple Fritter. Blueberry Donut — These were very good, even still warm, I’d give this one 4-Stars One out of Three — Not good odds! They do have some good Coffee though.

Ok. This is an awesome neighborhood donut shop, mom and pop type atmosphere, super sweet ladies behind the counter, delicious donuts, and great energy in the place. My family and I like to walk there which makes it our neighborhood spot. Even better, they’re happy to put on cartoons for all the kids to sit at the counter and watch while they munch on donuts. Now here comes the catch. Four of the most frequent customers, who are there nearly everyday, are four crotchety ass, foul-mouthed old men who sit at a table, sipping their coffee, where they complain about the world in language you would rather your children not hear. Meanwhile, they sit there at the center table oblivious to the families around them. It’s ridiculous and they should be ashamed of themselves… It’s like a bad sitcom. They talk about thinks like, Pearl Harbor and WW2, using the usual racial slurs and NONEOFTHEM are old enough to have even been there. Then for good measure they drive like idiots leaving the parking lot when their rant is finished. So you’ve been warned. The staff is wonderful, the donuts are delicious, but some of the usual customers need to grow up, which is ridiculous given how old they are.

Just finished the best maple old fashioned I have had in years. Crispy, buttery doughnut exterior, perfectly cooked interior, and excellent maple flavor. Worth every calorie!

Overall this place is pretty good and made for a good quick breakfast stop. My husband had the maple bar which got my hubby’s approval! We split the apple fritter… If done right I am a huge fan of apple fritters. I have to admit though that I was not a fan of their apple fritter — hence why I can’t give this place 5 stars. My husband did however like the fritter. I got the heart shaped donut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. I’m a sucker for the chocolate frosting and sprinkle combination for a donut and this donut certainly did not disappoint.

Good donuts for a decent price(dozen for $ 13) and the great service is always a plus! The owners are very nice and friendly, though they don’t really try to make much conversation. All the donuts are made fresh every morning! My favorite is the Chocolate French Cruller(they cost more for a reason)! Sweet, fluffy, and filling. Sort of felt like I might get diabetes after eating one, but this place is always perfect for satisfying my donut cravings!

The Jelly Donut has a sign on their window: «fresh donuts and coffee daily». indeed they do. ample tables to sit and enjoy them too! brew: «peerless» 6 blends(1.50, 1.85, 2) –french vanilla nice faint scent of vanilla in smooth coffee, probably mild roast. no acidity. eats: glazed donut(1) –good sized, not small –texture, better than bread like, very soft crumbs: –fast in and out –no available parking in front –walking a few extra steps didn’t burn off the calories from the donut.
