In a two week period I called them three times about enrolling in a class and left messages, no response back. I guess they don’t want any business? Absurd!

My 6 year old grandson had his birthday party here in December. There are Legos galore for the kids to play with. There were approximately a dozen children ages 3 to 9. Lester was the employee in charge of the party. He was wonderful with the kids. He spoke in a quiet tone, and he had the full attention of all of those boys and girls. He demonstrated the project they would be making, and they all went off and made it! It was one of the calmest, most organized birthday parties I’ve ever witnessed. Even some of the adults enjoyed creating things with the Legos. You can serve your birthday lunch and/or cake and ice cream there as well. And you can buy Lego kits from them. They offer a discount on purchases the day of the party, too. I would highly recommend this place. I was so impressed with Lester and with the Activity Center.

Great for kids. Glad to have near enough to go occasionally. Just really wish they had better hours for drop-in. Did a drop-in today and my kids had a limited selection of Lego’s available(still tons, don’t get me wrong), also not a class exactly as I thought it would be. There were classes going on — winter camps, which seems to be their specialty. But with three kids, winter camp is hardly financially feasible! But if your kid loves Lego they will really enjoy an hour or two here. 5-hour card best way to go.

We had a fabulous birthday party there for my son’s 6th. The kids had a great time and the parents were happy with the Lego project. The party manager, Art, has boundless energy and kept the kids entertained. I highly recommend having a party there.

Sucks Ass! Took my 5 year old there today and walked in for the 1st time lady says I’m from Alameda just filling in and sorry but we have a class today, even though Unilocal says open from 11am to 6pm(Wtf) my 5 year son was so disappointed! Don’t wast your time folks. Will head to super Frank’s.

This review is for open play only. I stopped by during the summer with a three year old and a five year old for open play. My three year old had a blast with the duplo and large blocks. One of the assistants helped the kids make a gravity car and set up a slide for them to race the cars. They were tons of boxes of legos with different pieces and some models displayed. There is an amazing model of the golden gate bridge. After we made the gravity car, the assistant expected the kids to spend the rest of the time racing the cars. She didn’t seem very interested to show them how to make anything else. There was a model of the battling cars that my son asked to make, however apart from this, I did not know what else the five year old could make or do. I wish they had more models for this age children that we could copy or base our construction on. I was expecting some more guidance or ideas and inspiration. I understand that it can get busy and difficult for the assistant to manage the store, the cash register, answer the phones and teach the kids. It would be helpful to have some posters or instruction booklets that we could look at to build more. I will definitely come back but probably when my kids are a little older or maybe after attending a class.

Pretty cool place. They have TONS of Lego sets for purchase. We came for open play. There are bins and bins of Legos and different parts. They have some duplo for younger kids and even big foam blocks for the smallest. There are no sets available for build, it’s just tons of loose bricks. My son had a hard time focusing on what to build because the parts are scattered everywhere. He did have a good time though. Good place to hang out when its too hot to be outside.

Be Prepared to Have your Child ALIENATED& made to feel very bad. Our experience yesterday(Sunday) was our second bad experience and final time I will ever take my little girl there. We were invited to a MineCraft themed birthday party. We arrived late(as people sometimes do on the weekend). We entered the party in the private room to a great buzzing sound of kids playing, Legos clinking and parents happy to have a moment to talk amongst themselves. My daughter was excited to jump in and start building!!! She is IMMEDIATELY told by Mike, «You can’t build because we are in the last day. You can add onto someone else’s build but you can’t build anything right now.» SERIOUSLY!!! You just told a 6 yr. old little girl that she couldn’t build, out loud, setting her apart from the group and grossly alienating her from the birthday party. So my child, slowly walked over to me, tears in her eyes, and stood with my arms wrapped around her for he next 20 minutes while the«building» part of the party finished. Mind you, after the«building» part of the party its cake and then you go home. First, regardless of when a child arrives to a party, why would you tell them they can’t build. Furthermore, NOKID, who loves Legos wants to add something onto someone else’s or have something added on to theirs. The beauty of Legos is that it can be a great independent exercise for kids to let their imagination run free. Next, Play-Well prides themselves on nurturing the Engineering potential in every child, as well as, being an advocate for more girls entering STEM industries, yet you LITERALLY, stood there and crushed the spirit of a little girl who was ready to go as soon as we walked in the door. Two bad experiences are enough for this family. By the way– Our first bad experience was the Summer camp I had enrolled my daughter in. The instructor was a teenager who could care less about her job, was completely unenthusiastic and jaded. Daily I would come to pick up my child and asked what was done for the day and the instructor could never tell me. My daughter actually asked me to never put her in that camp again. Pretty Unfortunate.

I went there for a birthday party w my 2 yrs old son and had a bad experience the way he was treated by their staff. There was this guy helping the kids on the party and at same point he made them organize all the lego pieces around… my son was playing outside w his daddy and came inside while they were packing them, then my poor baby grabbed one lego car from one of the boxes on the floor. That guy reacted so badly to my son that made me want to kick his ass right away, but that was his lucky day as I had to consider my pregnant condition and also all the little ones around! I have to say that nobody should EVER yell like that to someone’s else kid, especially a staff member of a party house who is paid to deal w children. Awfull experience!

great venue for a birthday party, but a bit pricey. Arthur was a great group leader and the kids all had a good time. it’s mostly a lego place but has other building blocks too, because engineering can’t be limited to legos only. Since legos are ‘ageless’, I’m talking to my manager about having a team building there. :)

My 6 year old recently celebrated his birthday here. Zero complaints on the service or staff. The guys were polite and professional and did good job with an appropriate project for 10 kids. However, i think the fee is too high for a 90 minute Lego project. I don’t think we’ll be doing it again.

I am only posting a review with my experience regarding birthday parties. Last year I was looking into parties for my twin boys. I had left several messages and emails without any responses. No one ever called or replied to my party inquiries. I was pretty disappointed and let the manager know(I had to look him up.). Mike was nice to reply quickly and asked to give them another chance the next year and asked that when I’m ready to inquire that I contact him directly. So… Here we are a year later and I gave them that chance. I emailed Mike. He told me he was at a managers retreat(sounds like fun!) and told me to call the main number.(I guess contacting him directly was of no use)… Well, de ja vu… I Called the main number, left message and no response. Then emailed. Guess what? No response! Not like I expected one that day or even the next day. This was on Monday and Tuesday and here we are on Saturday. Really? You don’t want to sell me a party? My boys really wanted this party but I’ll spend my $ 500 elsewhere where I can be assured the staff will be attentive.

We found this place online over a year ago(I left a Unilocal tip then) so far we try and stop in at least once a month. We dont live close but it is always worth the drive. The place is filled with all the lego pieces and motors the kids and I could want. The icing on the cake is the helpful and energetic staff that helps show the kids and me the best ways to contruct the more robotic/engineered pieces. 2 thumbs up. We need another playwell closer to Fremont!

A party place that also sells Legos? I’m in :) This is store on one side — stocked full of any type of Lego set that you can imagine — and a party room on the other side. Friendly, young engineers work in the store and during the parties they help both children, and adults, learn how to construct their own engineering creations. You can have a party for a kid or a grownup and learn something educational while enjoying your cake and ice cream :)

What a great place just to hang out or have a kids party. Boys, girls young and old can have fun here. Came here for my godson’s birthday. Part of the place is a lego store. They have kits that I have never seen before. Thumbs up for that. There is a back area for older kids and adults to do programming with legos. I guess its a course that you can take. Then another room is a play room, for younger kids. This is where the party was. Its the right size for a kids b-day party. Everyone had a blast, boys, girls, young, old, and the parents!

Had a birthday party here fr my son. Good location, price and plenty fun! Can’t say enough good things about this place. Bong, the«battle master,» was very nice and patient with the kids! Even the tiniest toddlers. He remembered all the kids names and got everyone involved. Will probably have another party here again for my younger son. Overall, glad my wife found this place because it really opens the kids’ minds to be creative.

Went there for the Veterans Day school holiday so it was very crowded. But in spite of that, the kids had a great time. Older daughter built a battery/motor driven car all by herself with only minimal help from the adult attendant. Younger daughter built a house, populated with minifigs with a slanted clear roof. There was PLENTY of legos for all the kids there, from Duplos to house parts to fancy motors, axels and wheels of many sizes. Highly recommended. For older kids, the free play is exactly that — the kids need to come up with their own concept but the attendants then help them with the finer engineering points of making the project actually work. It was interesting — the girls were a bit taken aback by lack of an instruction sheet or guidance initially but once they settled on a project, they ran with it.

the kids and i love, love, love this place. It’s too bad we always over-stay here since we spent about 4 hours last Sunday and 3 hours today + bought new lego toys+ the motor. I pretty much sat on the sofa and made sure my kids were playing nice while my older child put battery-operated motors on his creation and my younger one played with the fort built with big soft lego pieces. We will be back soon again.

Friendly staff, reasonable fees, TONS of Legos to play with! The«brainy» alternative to Super Franks. Will be a 5-Star review once they have a bigger selection of products to sell. Yay! I’m a fan.
