This is our new family favorite sandwich place. We used to always go to Genes for sandwiches. But as someone pointed out, the garlic sauce is the key ingredient. Fan of Big Vinney!

Sandwiches were fine but I felt like I was ruining each of the 5 employee’s day by choosing Mr. Pickles as my lunch destination. Couldn’t have left that place quick enough.

Probably not a good idea to eat before work after all the garlic sauce I add… Frequent Mr Pickle eater. I always get the Mr Pickle on dutch, thinly sliced avocado, extra garlic sauce on the side. They make it the exact same. Every. Single. Time. At least 15+ visits now. Call 10 min ahead for your order if you don’t wanna wait, they are very efficient about it. I get in. Pay for sandwich. Get out. 3 minutes. Disclaimer: not responsible for Spongebob«Am I Ugly?» breath after eating garlic sauce.

If you’re looking for a Subway alternative, Mr. Pickles is the way to go. It’s a little bit more on the pricey side, but you get a super hearty sandwich for it. Lots of choices, and my favorite addition– avocado. Definitely check it out, the mac salad is amazing too.

Good sandwiches, just okay atmosphere. The food is typical Mr. Pickles. No surprises, which is what I want. The store front is a bit dingy and the lack of a soda machine(bottled drinks only) really frustrates me. I may be spoiled, I have a brand new Mr. Pickles near my home, so an older one like this one just doesn’t do it for me.

I don’t find anything special about Mr. Pickle sandwiches except that I like the name«Mr. Pickle» — good idea! It is a typical cold sandwich franchise place, sandwiches — cold and tasteless. Convenient location — the reason I am actually coming here even though parking could be an issue during the lunch hour. Staff — could be more friendly to welcome their guests. Price — average for a sandwich.

Came here at about 12 noon on 10÷7÷15. Food tasted very good I got the tuna tuna sandwich and my fiancé got the night train sandwich. So good… Wow. The service was great but pricing was pretty expensive

With every purchase, you get a fresh chocolate chip cookie, which is absolutely the best. Don’t make the mistake I did — you must get your sandwiches on dutch crunch. I didn’t realize this was the bread to get. I ordered a Reggie Reggie on sourdough. It wasn’t bad, but I personally did not like the baja sauce and I think that’s was ruined the whole sandwich. Baja sauce is comparable to Tabasco. I’m definently coming again, but next time I’m trying a different sandwich! –Kristen 3 stars from Kristen. Edmund wasn’t here to rate.

Really well staffed so the lunch rush went quickly. Everybody working was pleasant and professional. My Manhattan was delicious, not drippy or difficult to eat. I will definitely come back to this location. Only questionable part is parking, but most of the time you can find A spot.

My must have on Sunday’s. Yes they get crowded but it’s really worth it and they are all so nice and helpful. Even giving us sandwiches to try that aren’t on the board any longer. Always have a the best experience here and bit of a nice chat with them as they make your sandwich.

I had heard a lot about Mr. Pickles, but had never gone. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good sammich, but in the Bay Area, you need to qualify what type of sammich. You have places like Ike’s which are amazing, but crazy. It’s like the special rolls of sammiches. Then you have classic deli sandwiches like Togos, meat, bread, cheese, veggies. You want extra you have to ask, and even then it won’t be ridiculous. The California Roll of sammiches. Then you have Mr. Pickles, who is somewhere in between. Mr. Pickles is a bit more adventurous than Togos, but not as extreme as Ike’s. As I had never been to one, I started with the number 1 on the list — Summer Love. Turkey, roasted red pepper hummus, avocado and baja sauce. It wasn’t bad, but as I like cheese probably wouldn’t get it again. That said, I would like to try the Mr. Pickle. Similar to Ike’s, our local spot has their own specials, which were recommended to me by both guys working the counter. And I could always make my own. Note 1: don’t forget the free cookie. If you get a sandwich and drink/chips, you get a free cookie. It wasn’t bad. Note 2: get the Dutch Crunch. I got the last one, and the man in line after me literally decided to wait for the fresh bread that get an alternative.

Mr Pickles #13 with garlic sauce and dutch crunch. Good for post outlet fun. Pre wine tasting galore.

This place is way too inconsistent for me. I’ll admit the dutch crunch bread is good but we can all do better than Foster Farms meat on our sandwiches. Also when a person asks for everything on a sandwich that usually means they want the produce and typical fixings on their sandwich. If I want extra crispy bacon on my sandwich please don’t forget to put it on before I leave. No bacon and no fixings on my small expensive sandwich. Boo! I’m so done with you!

Just devoured my first Mr. pickle’s sandwich and omg was it delicious! I needed a quick bite since I forgot my lunch, and was feeling a sandwich but not a Subway. Found this place on Unilocal that was close by and went with their Mr. pickle sandwich(chicken, avocado, bacon and the works) all in Dutch Crunch bread. I am impressed with the speed at which they got things done, without sacrificing quality of the build(don’t you hate it when all the goodies are on one side of the sand which or falling out?!). Great sandwich and service! Oh and free cookie! Not sure if that’s a regular thing but I thought it was a nice touch. Will definitely come back and I am hoping they open one up near where I live!

Inside this location was a little scary; kind of cluttered and reaaally dirty,(though I did love the black and white checkered floor.) The employees were helpful, they gave me some time to look over the menu but were ready when I was. They made my sandwich quickly and I grabbed a bag of chips before stepping up to pay, where I met the nicest employee of them all who even gave me a free cookie! Although I think it was just a promotion that day so I shouldn’t feel too special. :( Regardless…my chicken ranch sandwich was great and my experience was even better. They just need a little tune up in décor and they’ll be golden!

Awesome choice if you’re feeling like a sandwich. The Rueben is to die for and the only thing they could do to improve it would be to butter the bread and grill it! Friendly staff and a free cookie at checkout. What’s not to love?

I love Mr. Pickles. But this one seemed unorganized. After I ordered 2 sandwiches, the preparer informed me that it would be 5 minutes for the dutch crunch. Fine, I don’t mind waiting. Yet after all the sandwiches started to come out, the prepare came to our table and gave me only one of my sandwiches. He then went on break. I waited several minutes and then inquired with another worker about my second sandwich. Eventually, he got me my sandwich, but I don’t know how the communication was lost with the first person. Never the less, the sandwich was tasty. The only bad was the service as it was unorganized.

Not all Mr. Pickles are built the same. The two I most frequent are here and the one in Dublin. Beyond that the franchise varies from good to quirky. That said, Mr. Pickles in Pleasanton is a popular sandwich shop. The lunch time rush is busy but the service is prompt keeping me from being deterred from the line which on occasions runs out the door. The food is fresh, the service is lively, and their is seating both inside and out. Make no mistake, competition is all around them, however, the locals come back again and again because the food is good and consistent. The owners are convivial too, which makes for a nice hometown touch. It certainly makes me want to come back again and again!
