The way we found out about this restaurant was through groupon. After we ordered and went to pay is when they brought it to our attention that they no longer accept groupon. Even in the groupon it notes the merchant must accept the groupon. They forked over the entire bill without any consolation with the trouble. They even had the nerve to ask for cash when they clearly also take credit card. Last time I’m going here!

If I could put 0 stars I would. This guy has no idea what he is doing. Went once to get food, and it was bland and dry. He forgot the main thing we ordered and had to go back and pick it up. Then we asked him for catering for a small gathering. He quoted us one price then doubled it when we went to speak with him. He then proceeded to advise that he doesn’t want children at his establishment. Stay away. Shalimar in Dublin is much better!!! Sincerely — An unsatisfied ex-customer!

Just paid $ 10.94 for lunch special. The meat portion was one small chicken leg ~½ cup edible meat. It had ~ 2cups of rice and another ¾ cup of mixed veggie. The food tasted good, it is just way too expensive for what you get.

Still good but the size of Naan bread has shrunk by 50. Please get back to the original size.

I’ve been to Pakiza several times now and the food is always good. The service was also good. For some reason lunch was served on plastic plates today which was strange, but it is a new special they are offering so maybe they are still working this out.

Their tandoori chicken is the best. Love their menu and service. Location is good and place is clean as you all should know by now that indian restaurant usually don’t have the cleanest tables and floors lol. This restaurant is clean and the staff are very nice. I go here almost every week now.

We ordered Nihari, Chicken Boti, Chicken Tikka and Naan a few times. Nihari, chicken boti and naan are good. Wasn’t impressed with the Chicken tikka as the portion is small. Don’t know where they get these little perhaps under-fed chickens from. Bihari Boti was burnt and hard to chew on. Service is ok. Ambiance is nice. All in all, it’s a B minus.

Best Indian Food in Town! We came here because of the groupon offer. The restaurant is clean and the food is so so amazing. It has so much spices. — Samosa: lots of spices but not spicy. I like the chickpeas on the side too. — mutton curry: best I have ever had — chicken tikka masala: it has some citrus flavor, and is not too heavy on the cream. Very good. — tandoori chicken: amazing — plain naan bread: hot out of the oven. So fresh! Conclusion: we will definitely come back. We have tried other Indian restaurants in the area, and nothing compares to this one.

Just picked up food from here today and I must say it’s way better than shalimar and other Indian restaurants in the area. Definitely try this place out first. Food was really good and I loved the butter chicken.

Every cuisine around the world has some strange foods, especially when it comes to meat. I’ve eaten kangaroo in Sydney, escargot in Paris, alligator in New Orleans. Then there are the strange and exotic cuts from animals that we eat quite regularly, cuts that certain cuisines have elevated to an art form. Such as chicken feet in China, lengua(beef tongue) in Mexico, Rocky Mountain oysters(I will let you look that up) right here in America. I’ve tried them all. To this category, let me add Bheja fry, courtesy the Indian subcontinent, specifically Bombay, where I grew up. Also known as goat brain. Which brings us to Pakiza. Where I had Bheja fry after more than two decades the other afternoon, and now can’t stop thinking about it. The rich flavors, the creamy texture, the way it paired wonderfully with the fresh-out-of-the-oven naan they served with it. Along with Bheja fry, we also had haleem, a thick stew consisting of wheat, barley, lentil and beef, which is slow-cooked for 7 – 8 hours till all the spices and flavors blend together. Another excellent dish, though a lot less exotic than the Bheja fry(note — neither haleem nor Bheja fry are on the menu, so ask your server for them). Pakiza — which is at the south end of Main Street in Pleasanton — is a fantastic new addition to the Indo-Pak restaurant scene in the East Bay. Go with your discerning and adventurous friends, take your appetite, and don’t forget to ask about their secret menu. Enjoy!

Ordered food for delivery and still didn’t receive it 2 hours later — horrible customer service — talked to someone at after an hour and a half and they told us «there was a computer error» and we would receive the order in 20 minutes — 40 minutes later still nothing and no one will answer the phone. Ridiculous — will not be giving them another chance — had to have Unilocal refund us the $ !!!

I ordered a chicken kebab roll for take out because I was in a hurry and needed something I could eat on the go. Instead I got a chicken kebab entrée. I couldn’t exchange for a roll because I had to get back to work. Whatever. Life goes on. BUT, I get to my desk, open the bag, and realize that they didn’t even provide forks or napkins, which are essential for eating an entrée! No sides either! At least give me some naan! There isn’t even much chicken. The container it comes in is like 5″ x 5″. All of this for $ 10. Never coming here again. They got my order wrong, the food is expensive, the portions are small, and it’s not convenient for take out, which is important for people taking a lunch break from work.

My family and I enjoyed the food here. The tandoori chicken breast is a must. The curries are good, but the naans and tandoori meats are really good. The décor is pleasant. And the staff are nice and attentive

I think I spoke too soon on this one. After the one time they totally dropped the ball with half cooked tandoori and not-so-fresh meat I kept going back hoping that one time was bad luck. But no, they just aren’t able to keep the quality and taste going. Biryani is good if you get lucky and the curries are just meh, consistently. If you are in the area and craving Indian just go to Frontier Spice. Better environment, better treatment and a perfect balance of spices and flavors.

Tried this place off of a Groupon deal. Normally I’m very hesitant about restaurants through Groupon but decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed at all. The garlic and onion Naan was delicious. The mango Lassi is better than any other place I’ve tried. I can really taste the mango flavor. The pakooras were delicious and I loved the fact that they gave you as much sauce as you wanted. We will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes.

You guys know we are Shalimar people and it’s really hard to sway our allegiance but Pakiza has managed to break through. Their location is great, clean, ample parking and is a step up décor wise. The food was delicious and was priced well for families and large groups. We had a wide variety of their bbq items. The bihari kabab, lamb chops and seekh kabob were amazing. Their naans were very good as well. We orders their kabab rolls and were very very happy. They are warm and spicy and had just the right amount of chutney and onions. I would still go to Shalimar for their Tikkas and Palak Paneer though!!!

Came here to celebrate the ending of Ramadan with my coworker. The restaurant itself is super clean and neat. All the workers have great attitude and service as well. We opted for the buffet which our Co worker recommended. It runs from 1130 to 330. What makes this buffet stand out compared to your traditional buffet are the variety of meat it offers. Traditional buffet only offers one type of meat(usually chicken) and a ton of veggies. However, Pakiza goes the extra mile to serve not only chicken, but lamb and beef. Needless to say, the food was amazing. Everything was very fresh and moist. My tandoori chicken was grilled nicely outside, but the meat inside is still moist and wet. The lamb had great flavors to it as well. Writing this review got me salivating already!!! Overall, I would definitely love to return back to this place. For the price and value, you can’t complain at all.

Yes, there is hope for D-Town P-Town! Pakiza is a Pakistani and Indian food restaurant on the southern end of Main St. which is a welcomed addition. Main St. needs the variety to break up the Italian food abyss. We were greeted by a very nice man who sat us and gave us menus. There were some familiar dishes and some that were not so familiar but what struck me were the prices. Beyond reasonable! We ordered the Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala plus some naan on the side. I have had my share of Indian food and I am not sure if it is because of the Pakistani influence but this has to be some of the best Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma I have ever had. The dishes were both less creamy than I have had in the past but were much more complex. The Chicken Tikka Masala was tangy, savory, and the chicken was very tender. The Chicken Korma had so many different flavors blended together so well that I can’t say anything other than YUM! The naan was great too… warm and soft. I am so pumped that there is a new place in downtown Pleasanton where I can get my Indian food fix where I spend less money and get more flavorful food!
