Ocean Day Spa

I went to Ocean Day Spa a few weeks ago with a friend. The place was clean so first impression was good. The massage was not so good. I do not know the name of the female that gave my 60 min massage as she did not speak English. She kept yawning throughout my massage. I mean yawning for over 30min before I said something and she laughed. She also was sick or had allergies as she kept coughing and sneezing. Yuk! She also pressed really hard and massaged my spine. That’s a no no if you know what you are doing. It’s not worth the risk of injury and the pain to save a few bucks. I won’t be be back.

How is this a real spa?! I had a 9pm appointment for an hour long massage. When I showed up, they lost my appointment, but assured me they could fit me in. I paid my $ 50 (you have to pay up front) and then waited for 25 minutes in the massage room. Knowing that the place was only open for another 35 minutes and that I had already paid for 60 minutes, I decided to get a refund and leave.
The elderly non-​English speaking masseuse/​cashier/​receptionist kept pushing me back into the room. I had to use a combination of pointing at the clock, pointing at the hours listed on the door, pointing at my credit card, and resisting her attempts to force me into the room to get my refund. It took another 10 – 15 minutes to get my money back.

I wouldnt go back. This doesn’t seem like your typical massage place. i don’t even know if the therapist have their license

Melody, Helped me right away I walked in last year around this time;in severe pain It was the 3^rd massage I’ve had out of 10 so far, and MELODY has to be the best in my condition anyways.
Besides the soothing aromatherapy and great ambiance My mind was on pain relief and she did a great job unlike others I’ve been to. She explained how to stretch out at home in doorway for relief for my neck and shoulder pain; SHE WAS SURPRISED at how many knots and much tension and took the time to let me know what she noticed and it was closing time. I wanted to give this place a try since it’s near my work… It was great and I got my money’s worth. I’ve read previous reviews about having the worst massage… I think maybe they have new employees!
They were very friendly as soon as I walked in! You get your own room with soothing music. It is your choice to how much skin you would like to expose… You are covered with a warm blanket! They use warm soothing oil.
I recommend doing the 1-​hour session!

I had the worst massage ever. I was skeptical that the front desk girl is the one who will work on me. She had no idea how to do massages or put any muscles in it.
I was ready to call it off. When she tells me that they are shorthanded. It is very bad for a business when they try to fake it and pretend any person know how to massage.
I do not trust this place. Wonder how many persons they faked before.

Clean, peaceful atmosphere, great price and AMAZING deep tissue massage with Wander. Felt like a million dollars after my massage.

I took my girlfriend here for a couples massage. For some reason the massage was $ 110, but individuals were $ 50…Upon entering, the lady was pretty rude and did not welcome us very nicely. She and another woman brought us to the back into a room and left us with no instructions.
The massage was ok. it felt good even thought I still left with many kinks in my neck. One masseuse left the room about 3 times during the massage, leaving the door open. They also conversed a few times, ruining the mood. They did not Seem to care much about manners or respecting privacy.
The thing that really angered me was the woman asking for a tip afterwards. umm… no. I would have left it in the room if I were to leave one, but I did not. They were far too rude to deserve a tip.
If you want a quick cheap massage, it isnt bad. The actual masssage wasnt horrible. But if you want a relaxing/​comfortable environment, look somewhere else and spend the extra money.

I had a wonderful massage yesterday. I found Ocean Day Spa to provide a relaxing atmosphere and qualty massage at an affordable price. I’ll be going back.

The people are nice, the facility is clean and peacful and the massage was great. Had a sweetish about 4 months ago and will be going back tomorrow. Can’t wait!
