One of those sort of go to places around here that has really good food for a great price. Don’t be fooled as I am every time I go, the mini, is HUGE!!! Usually when I get the mini there is enough to fill me up plus some left over, the plate is enough for 2 or more people to be fully satisfied. I love their BBQ Beef and Chicken, great flavor, friendly service with smile and always keeps me coming back for more. Definitely try this out if you like this style of food, their BBQ dishes are basically like teriyaki.

OK for pricing. But I swear, their staff are like idiots. They use the new chip card and can’t figure out when it says enter pin, ENTERTHEDAMNPIN! I guess one young girl didn’t want me to go behind the counter to enter my pin or just hand it to me to enter. She kept on insisting she knows what she’s doing and almost locked my credit card. But if she wants to manually enter all the digits in, then so be it. Not sure she even understood me.

my coworker figured out what the L&L stand for Lousy Lunch. That’s what you get when you go there. I wish we could give negative points Don’t do it! Walked in about an hour of opening, they had 2 other costumers one eating other one waiting. The girl taking the order was completely rude, she didn’t want to be there taking orders no hi when we walked in. Coworkers were all deciding on what they wanted and I was the first to be ready I walk up and she says«what do you want». I was taken back so I said excuse me, nope I heard right. I was like ok let me get the garlic shrimp and is it real Lumpia? she ignores me so I ask again she says yes. I am now paying and all she says is you sign, no thank you no nothing. Restaurant — Go to get my drink and the whole area over there is a mess, lids all over the place, straws thrown out. their lemonade is carbonated, their fruit punch and iced tea are watered down. As I walk to go sit down and wait I notice my feet are sticking to the floor everywhere I walk. My coworkers all order and as we sit and wait I notice a few dirty tables that needed to be cleaned. The front counter girl just stood there looking at her register. No one had came in behind us. Went to get a few sauces and they looked suspect. The teriyaki was very watered down, so did a pass. the tray all the sauces were on were covered with spilt sauces, the tops of the sauces were dirty from old extra sauce being stuck it All in all not a clean place at all Food– I had hope, such hope that the food would make it all better. Epic fail! The rice was not made that day it was old and hard, even the soy sauce couldn’t save it. The garlic shrimp was just fried shrimp and minced garlic on top, this was laid on top of raw sliced cabbage. The macaroni and cheese were nothing to brag about. it wasn’t bad, just bleh. Overall we will never be returning here.

Even when I lived in Seattle & was a carnivore — I was a fan of L & L. I was craving their Mac Salad(my fave) so we went for a late night run(they close at 9:30pm) They’re located in the plaza by Walmart & Party City — they share the same parking lot. They have ample seating inside & they weren’t busy when we got there so no issues there. As soon as we walk in there was a girl that was ready to take our order. When I used to eat meat — I would order the chicken cutlet but I guess you can say my selections were quite slim now. I decided to go with mac salad, brown rice & gravy fries. Yes, yes — carbing it up — per usual, lol. The gravy fries were pretty good, first time I’ve had them. The mac salad hit my craving spot head on so no complaints there. Larrs ordered a Loco Moco — he finished it up, so I guess you could say that he liked it. OH! We got the Green Tea Lychee drink —-zomg! MUSTTRY! ZEEEBEST!

I have been eating food form L&L for years now. Unfortunately, the L&L’s on the mainland do not taste the same as those back in Hawaii. Trust me, I checked. The parking at this place is always open. I have yet to be there on a day when I could not find an open place to park. I have not had an issue with rude workers like others mentioned, but I could see that they do not care a whole lot about you. I ordered quick and without issue. The food tastes exactly as I expect it to taste. The macaroni salad is definitely one of the better recipes that I’ve found on the mainland. P. S. I would recommend against ordering the musubi. They are poorly made and you can make many more of them if you purchase the ingredients and prepare them at home. Here is a list of the ingredients if you do not know: –Spam(sliced long ways and lightly fried. You can fry it in teriyaki or soy sauce for added flavor) –Short grain rice –Seaweed(you can buy these in large squares and cut them from your local asian food store) PROTIP: Use the empty spam can to shape the rice for your musubi.

Who ever this girl is working(the night of February 9th, 2016) is rude as f. And I’m not putting this just because of the other comments/reviews. It’s true. And this may sounds«over the top» but you give a bad name to this company. She has the attitude for a McDonald’s or some low end Asian restaurant that can’t get anything better than a D grade because of roaches and shitty food. Like really? GTFO if you don’t like your job.

I ate at L&L in Hawaii recently and decided to swing by here out of curiosity to see what the differences were. The menu is slightly different, they had burgers too in Hawaii. I got the chicken katsu which was pretty good.

Great food and of parking. Great for lunch. I sometimes call in my order ahead of time to make it faster. I have ordered some big orders for co workers, our favorite is the Family Order of Chicken Katsu. For $ 50 we get a mountain of chicken Katsu and a big tray of rice and mac salad. Best deal ever. 12 of us couldn’t finish it!!!

Average L&L compared to all of the others. In regards to the food, it tastes the same as any other, but the atmosphere is a little different here. Usually they are brightly lit and very welcoming. This one was a little darker on the inside and not as inviting. I understand some restaurants purposely do the dimmed lighting but it’s L&L. I’ll probably be back to get food for take out just because I am a fan of the L&L chain.

Ordered the Lau Lau — it was missing salt, but it was decent. The person taking the order was fast, not friendly but at least she wasn’t on her phone like some of the other Unilocalers have noted.

I really don’t like this l&l but I don’t have a choice coz I’m hungry. I’m trying to order just the meat, no macaroni or rice just meat but she made an order with rice and macaroni, I never asked for that. And the employee of the month, she got some attitude problem and not friendly. She can’t understand English if you’re here in America you should know how to speak and understand English. She’s always on the phone too and she’s rude.

I love L&L food. This location has good food but the employee working the register was terrible. Completely rude, was chewing gum the entire time, and dismissed me the whole time I was putting in my order. I used to work at L&L(different location) and her customer service was despicable. Will be asking for the manager and need to change her attitude.

First time we found out there’s an L&Ls in Pleasanton/Dublin. Got all excited. Until we walked in. All these reviews about this Asian cashier is literally on point. It’s hilarious because it’s all true. R U D E. I may be being too hard on the rating but customer service is definitely more important to me. Some food places may not have the greatest taste in food, but if you serve me well, I’ll be satisfied enough. But damn. If you don’t like your job gtfo. If this is family owned and she’s the little bitch ass niece or daughter, you may wanna rethink about keeping her cause she’s just ruining your business. Or damnit slap the rudeness off her face and make her change her attitude. Sucks. Haven’t even tried the food yet — Oh well. Goodluck anyway. If the foods good enough then I’ll update. BUT for now since she left a bad taste in my mouth already … 1 star it is. This will be the last time coming here. BYEE.

Food is okay nothing special. Service is crap! The cashier girl instead of greeting you it’s a death stare and comes«what do you want?» Service was okay when it first opened but now it’s pretty shitty. Instead of having napkins at the tables it’s behind the counter… I’m assuming guest steal the napkins? Probably one of the worse L&L establishments I’ve been to. Floor is always wet when I come without a slippery floor sign so I guess it’ll take a lawsuit for them to realize to put one up.

Good comfort Hawaiian food but bad customer service. I’ve been here a couple times and service is usually bad. Today, the lady just says«whatchu want?» No hi or smile. Then when I had to sign she just said«sign». And of course, while she’s watching me throw my trash and put away the tray, no «bye» or «thank you». She was also rude with the other customers. Maybe she was having a bad day because she was just behind the counter chewing her gum, on her phone(being lazy) while there were dirty tables around me(see picture). But again, it’s always been like this. I’d rather go to Hawaiian Grill Express, good food and much nicer people working there.

I had never had Hawaiian BBQ before until yesterday! I’ve always been curious though. The first thing that I appreciated was that they had calories listed next to each menu items(for those of you keeping track of your macros and such). They have a «healthy plate» option, but only 3; really that’s all you need if you’re here for BBQ chicken or something. It was soooo good! I don’t know what I was expecting since I’ve never had Hawaiian food before, but wow. That’s a lot of food. Came with: –BBQ chicken(Yum, not drowned in sauced) –Tossed greens(Lot’s of greens, if you’re big on veggies). –Brown rice Super healthy and only 360 calories for all of it(keeping in mind it was a large dish). Most importantly, was that the sauce was not packed with a day’s worth of sodium; it was refreshing as opposed to dehydrating lol.

A typical Hawaiian fast food joint(read: greasy and calorific) Fast and inexpensive But the tables are dirty and sticky. Normal sized portions are huge. The minis are usually enough food for 1 meal. The chicken katsu and the bbq chicken are the only items I like here. Food cooked to order. Not many veggies offered and they definitely don’t skimp on the calories. If you like spam, mayonnaise, or deep fried items, this is your place. But it’s not my cup of tea.
