With several hours to kill we decided to be mall walkers… it was how we stumbled upon this place. I actually walked in expecting to buy random snacks to bring on the plane with me, instead it was a place to sit down and order great snacks. How could you beat and island themed place that sells snow cones and fresh potato chips. We got the island snow cone and it was great. Perfect sweetness and great texture. We also got an order of small mango-chili lime chips. Wow, to my supposed they were some of the best chips I’ve had. Moving to the area I’ll for sure be back. Probably next time partaking in a hot dog on a Hawaiian bun or some of theater several variations of fires.

I stopped by here yesterday to try something different. To my surprise the hot dog was something to really talk about. The menu is small but the taste is excellent. I ordered this hot dog that came with three Hawaiian king bread. It had this mildly hot sauce with their home made potato chips(crushed) and placed over the hot dog. I also added garlic fries such was excellent. Not over garlicky and hardly any salt. The meal I ordered was somewhat expensive and it was well worth it. I would their more often if the it wasn’t so pricy. This place only hold a party of a few. There is very little sitting here. Be prepared to stand or take out. The people there are very helpful, friendly, and made you feel very comfortable while there. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Initially, I was disappointed that this place focuses on hot dogs and chips instead of chicken or other forms of bbq.(Spam musubi too!) but after giving the place a shot, I quickly became appreciative of their specialty-type menu. Basically, there are a few types of hot dogs you can pick from, and there are sides that you can get such as fries or chips. Their chips are home-made and they allow you sample which is nice. You can either chips and fries on its own, but they also have toppings they add like cheese, seasoning and bacon bits. I decided to opt for chips because it’s different! I got the one with cheese and bacon bits, it was delish. They even give you a little wood clip you can pick the chips up with, but I kept dropping and flicking stuff around with it. So dirty fingers it was: p The hot dog was yummy, I didn’t think it was exceptional. As long as you have the right toppings any hot dog can taste good. It came in a carboard holder that made it super easy to eat though! You didn’t have to lift the entire hot dog out. Nonethless it was still great, and definitely a great fast food choice. Just beware that it gets messy! I gave this five stars because my overall experience was positive! The crew were all really friendly and patient when explaining the food. I’m stocked to go back and try new chip/fry combinations, and their shaved ice!

I purchased 2 «huge» bags of chips for the first time($ 20 total). I got both bags less than half filled. Didn’t realize til I got home and my sister told me they usually fill it to the top. I hope the girl that helped me was new and didn’t know. Pretty disappointing

From just the outside, I didn’t even realize this was a food store until I walked by and the worker offered free samples of their Hawaiian chips. The workers are always extremely friendly and always trying to start a conversation. They even let me try every single flavor of chip! The Hawaiian chips were a bit stale and not my favorite from the store, so I would definitely suggest asking for a free sample to taste before actually ordering a serving. I ordered the island style dog, and my friend ordered the chili cheese dog. The island style dog was delicious(but I mean how could you go wrong with hot dogs?). The dog was inside 3 perfectly toasted Hawaiian breads. The sweetness of the bread and mango mustard perfectly complimented the savory hot dog. The size was great and extremely filling! If you’re looking for a quick but filling bite in the mall, I would definitely suggest this place!

This place really caught my eye when I first went into the mall. Walking by it, I could tell it was somewhat like a fusion-Hawaiian fast food restaurant. So I decided to try it, and the workers were really nice and gave me free samples of some of their chips. So the worker recommended me to try one of their Shaka hot dogs(I believe they’re called that). So, I ordered an Island Style Hot Dog with a side of Maui Onion Chips. The hot dog had a Island fusion kick to it with their mango sauce. I also got my food fast so that was cool. 10 outta 10 will come again.

Service is fast, people are friendly, food/drinks/Hawaiian shaved ice delicious… Minus a star for the size… It is quite cramped in there, with barely enough room to stand and wait for your order… Seating is very minimal. Could be due to the time we arrived, it was busy!

The chips here are BOMB!!! I got the Rio Habenero, and it definitely has a kick! The chips are super crunchy and evenly seasoned. I also tried the Tijuana shaka dog, and it’s fancier version of a hot dog. It had hot cheese, jalapenos, tomatoes, onions, and chips all on a Hawaiian bun! You can also pull it apart to share! When you get a shaka dog and a bag of chips, you can add a drink for only $ 1! TIP: You can get a large drink for a $ 1! I was so full, but I’ll definitely come back to try the fries too!

Wowowow this place plays some poppin music I love it. The vibe is so chill and makes me want to take a plane to my fav place aka Hawaii :-( They are really good for their fries which us basically what most people go there for. They also offer nachos with delicious looking homemade chips! I recommend the fries 100%, take it from someone who is a true fry fanatic. Cant wait to go back and try the shaved ice! It looks v yum

A lovely Hawaiian-style snack shop addition to Stoneridge Mall. They have any snacks you can think of that will make you feel deliciously guilty: potato chips, island fries, hot«shakka» dogs, shaved ice, and bagged popcorn. The hungrier you are, the more satisfaction you’ll get from eating here. Chips: Each chip flavor is heavy on taste and thick in texture. You can try a sample to see what you like. Being less inclined to spicy flavors, I liked the sweeter Maui Onion best. Fries: My Loaded Potato fries was really filling and flavorful to the point where I couldn’t get in another bite! They cleverly came with small bamboo tongs which made it easy to pick up each fry without getting my hands messy. Shaved Ice: I’ve tried the Rainbow Dream which was great, but pretty much just water + sugar + condensed milk(as expected). I felt like it was pretty pricey for what it was, especially since it seemed to melt super fast — so finish it as fast as you can! The décor inside is quite inviting and emanates a chill, laidback vibe. However there’s only one communal table you can sit at, so best if you leave the shop to down your snack. If I can’t go to Hawaii again sooner for some island specialty desserts, this is a worthy substitute!

Tried for the first time today. Excellent housemade potato chips(I had really good habanero ones). Good dog, and lots of topping choices. They are also trying out a Hawaiian bun, tastes like a kings bread bun, buttery and a great combination. And that barely scratches the surface of their menu choices. Oh, and everyone was friendly to boot!

Imagine this… A fully loaded baked potato with all of your favorite toppings generously slathered all around…(scallions, bacon bits, sour cream and creamy warm cheese!!!) except Ohana Bros serves this up in the form of crispy flavored potato chips. The potato chips are stacked meticulously to be the«potato». Sounds great, right??? PROBLEM is that … What you are imagining is NOT what you get. When my «loaded baked potato» was served… It was a joke. For $ 6.70, I could have bought an entire bag of onion flavored chips, sour cream, bacon bits and scallions to create 4 – 5 servings of what they gave me. The cheese was a joke as were all the toppings… Cheese was dotted on… Sour cream was dotted on… Bacon bits– you could count them… You could definitely see the chips and of the 15 slices of chips. Maybe 5 – 6 had a decent amount of toppings. The rest of the time… It was just eating potato chips. The final product definitely did NOT resemble the picture!!! First and last time! Oh … And that mini tong? There’s not need to provide that because all you are doing is eating potato chips… Due to the lack of toppings, your fingers won’t get too terribly dirt

Those damn chips!!! Very addicting and delicious. Loved the free samples and the flavors were wonderful. You can mix and match the flavors or have a single flavor. Our favorites are the mango chili lime and BBQ. Maui onion was also good too. A little pricy but very good. Definitely need to try the shave ice next time.

This place is my new favorite. It’s got an amazing vibe and very creative menu. I wanted to try everything(great reason to come back). I settled on the buffalo bacon ranch fries and a shave ice(passion fruit, mango, strawberry). OHMYGOD!!! Let me just say, they were both amazing!!! Can wait to come back. If I weren’t filled up by the fries, I would of kept going, ordering everything on the menu. The staff were sweet and very helpful. They have this sign by the register that states«The Bros. Promise» something about if your not happy with what you ordered, they’ll make you something else. I can’t image that ever happening.

This place is super cool! I dig the concept behind it, being a Hawaiian surf shop-type restaurant in a mall. I love the selection of things they have as well. Their chips, hot dogs and fries are all a super great compliment to each other, or on their own. Nothing is too extra-feeling. The fries are amazingly delicious and I love the crispiness. Their chip flavors are also so cool! The service is amazing, super friendly and helpful, the only downside is that it’s super slow sometimes. When they get super busy they tend to take a long time to get to everyone’s orders, but it’s worth it! Also, the prices are a litttttllleee steep, but I love it regardless.

How many times have you ordered Hawaiian shaved ice and it was just a big glop of ice with some drops of syrup. This place is awesome as they not only make one of the better shaved ice but also have a great selection of making your boring hot dog, fries and chips more exciting. I know there might be better hot dog and fries places but I like it as it has an interesting twist. The combination with sweet and spicy on a hot dog bun(simply done) just taste great. Wash it down with one of their sodas and you leave happy with a full belly. Love the décor and ambience. Not a place to dine and sit. It’s really just a quick grab and go. Definitely a good alternative to all the other boring food places inside this mall!

Chips are decent. The island hotdog isn’t. It has this odd sweetness because of the sauce while the hotdog itself is bland. Costco hotdogs are better. They also prepare it way faster — it took 15 minutes to get it. Nice people at the counter though. Cool ring toss game. The secret is to actually toss the ring and not swing it on the string.

I usually don’t post a ton of reviews unless I absolutely adore the place or it just rubs me the wrong way. I went in the other day on my lunch break to pick up some chips for the hubs(a to-go size) The lady in front of me also got the same size as me and her bag was practically overflowing with chips. When it was my turn, the bag was filled ¾’s of the way. When I asked her«Um, can you please fill it up all the way?» she got an attitude and said it’s by the ounce. REALLY?! She didn’t weight it, how was it filled based on the oz? Why did the lady before me somehow get more ounces for the price then I did? Not to mention she was short with me the entire time I was there, no smile no pleasantries. I was so shocked and if I hadn’t already paid I would have told her«no thanks» but I felt uncomfortable asking for a refund what with her showing me so much attitude to begin with. So I took my sad bag of chips and left. Safe to say I will not be returning, we can just buy the store bought kettle chips, at least they won’t discriminate against me.

While shopping at stoneridge I noticed this place and it smelled really good. This is a cute, Hawaiian themed shop although their food really isn’t Hawaiian based. You can get loaded fries or ‘Hawaiian’ inspired hot dogs, and they also make their own chips and carry cream sodas. I decided to go with the mainlander dog and a small bag of rio habanero chips(You can also ask to sample the chips since they have a lot of flavors to choose from). The mainlander dog contains: spicy mustard, topped with sweet relish, tomatoes, two pickle spears placed on each side of the hot dog bun, white onions, jalapeños, and sprinkled with celery salt. The hotdog itself was pretty darn good, although it was a bit messy. Their rio habanero chips have a kick to it, and I really enjoyed it. I also had a regular root beer cream soda, and I thought it was pretty good too. Customer service is great, everyone is super nice. Overall, this is a pretty good place in the mall of you want a snack.

After seeing a few friend’s pics of Ohana Bros I was excited to actually have one cross my path! From afar, the place looked very island-ish and I’m such a sucker when it comes to island style restaurants cause it makes me miss home on the islands! However, after eating here today I was thoroughly disappointed. NOTHING in here is Hawaiian or let alone«fusion» at the very least. I feel like their take on food is «Boardwalk/diner.» They serve a base of potato chips, fries, hot dogs, popcorn and shaved ice. On top of the base they have topping such as bacon, cheese, sour cream, jalapeño, chili… You see the trend here? I think their shaved ice is the only«island-ish» item on their menu. With an island themed place I would have expected some FUSION at the very least with food such as spam, Kalua pork, malasadas or manapua’s of some sort. And the flavors of the chips/popcorn? At least show me some. Kona coffee, ling hing mui, macadamia nut or some version/twist of hurricane popcorn. Everyone who has been to the islands know what I’m talking about. Their branding is very misleading & left me feeling very disappointed. So if you come in here, expect diner kind of food.

Ohana Bros. is similar to one in concord. here the chips are showcased in the front corner. Concord, it’s the fresh popped popcorn. menu: shaka dogs, hancrafted popcorn, maui chips, island fries, hawaiian shaved ice, clothes eats: plain jane(5.5) –just mustard, ketchup, relish in soft poppy seed bun –100% beef dog from hawaii, not juicy, definitely all beef, no chicken, dense meat –various toppings available, wouldn’t change taste of dog, still plain. take outs: –small communal table to eat at. –quick, friendly service, pay at cashier, get food to the left. –interesting foods, not wowed. food groups offered not my faves.

New spot opened up in the mall that provides specialty fries and hot dogs with that island kick. I’m a bit of a softie when it comes to Hawaiian themed spots. Since I love the islands it’s unfair of me to try and compare the two so I have to be a little understanding being its on the mainland. The spices varies and you have a little variety to choose from. The blended spices and toppings are delicious and unique that mix well together. The service was good and fair, with the prices not too bad. In all its good to see more food options here in the mall where restaurants are scarce and the variety less then ideal. Love the food and almost reminds me of the islands.

I wish I could’ve haven this place more stars; and I wish the food had tasted better. I ordered the Tijuana dog and like many have stated it was just an average hot dog. Not on the same level as a Costco dog, but decent. The toppings seemed scattered for a 6.25 hot dog. At that price i’m expecting it to be overflowing with jalapeños and chips. Unfortunately this was not the case. Seating and the formation of the line was awkward. Couldn’t sit comfortably without having people all around you. They should’ve built a wrap around type bar on the wall instead of a merchandise wall(cmon who is going to buy that stuff). We ordered the buffalo French fries and was disappointed to hear that they didn’t have sweet potato fries. Not saying that this place is in anyway healthy but it does not tailor to anyone who is even slightly considering to stay on the healthy side.(Adding sweet potato fries surely would) the toppings complemented the seasoned fries very well. But after each bite, the amount of sodium became overwhelming. I’m not sure if that is just the buffalo seasoning, but it was just way too much salt. May try it again and ask for less seasoning if possible. If not possible I’ll have to skip this place :(can’t get over the fact that the dogs were not that great and they don’t even offer sweet potato fries.

I stumbled across this location next to the JCPenney’s on the second floor. It’s a lot more spacious than the Sunvalley location. I’m thinking twice as big with some stools a small counter to eat. There is also some merch for sale. Not sure if it’s the size or the fact that they are fairly new, but there were at least 5 workers and maybe two managers. I ordered a regular rainbow dream and it was delicious! I had it at the other location and it was jimmy st as good the second time. Definitely worth a visit.

I know it’s not in the same spot but is this the replacement for Hot Dog on a Stick? I tried the Tijuana hot dog which was named I’m guessing because it has something to do with college students since that’s the age group to most likely put chips on hot dogs. The toppings were not bad but the hot dog was just any regular one you get anywhere. It’s not gourmet if you’re wondering. The prices are gourmet though but this area probably warrants the $ 6.25 price tag. I got the Garlic Parmesan Fries which were also in the $ 6 range. My breath was kickin’ and I could taste the spiciness long after I was done eating. The tray is a bit small but they do fill it up. Besides offering shave ice, the place’s vibe is Hawaiian. Even the employees are all about calling you«bro» or «brutha.» I forgot I was in the suburbs for a second.

Time: 1:32pm/58°F sunny Purpose: One of six places on the list check up on before Thanksgiving. Since it was a short week, I went ahead trying to fit everyone in schedule. Sadly, I miss my initial target mark, but I did what I can. This place was first spot to go after exiting freeway. Set-up: Located inside Stoneridge Mall on the second level right above Verizon store. Place boast a Hawaiian theme. It starts with counter top line with bowls of house made chips separated by two-way glass. Middle of place a world map design table with stool that sits eight along with, built-in trash chute to the side. A display shelf with items for sale like t-shirt, popcorn, buckets, and screen playing a reruns of wave surfing in merchandise area. Kitchen area just a range hood and cooking surface with pick up order counter at the end. Behind counter all business essential of soda fountain, display, menu, cup sleeves, revel iPad, slushee dispenser, to-go containers. Place is busy on weekends mostly with teens, but during the weekdays, its mall workers. Staff: Looking at a young crew high to college level. A good balance of guys/girls all doing their part. Short girl with sandy blonde hair was über friendly as she hands out samples of chips. A guy with black shirt differ from the rest wearing red probably manager of place was really cool and funny. He walks around asking everyone if everything was alright with their food. Most nodded yes then continue eating. I told him, its my first time here never had a Tijuana dog before. So, I said its alright a little spicy, but interesting. He fist bump me and laugh off in a good way though. Cashiers were at a lost since no number ticket dispenser was use. People walks in left and right and cashier takes middle on line people to be help first. How’s that fair? Cleanliness: Grade A, maintenance of place well kept no trash piling up. Counter and display spotless. No sample chips saw on floor or left ledge. Customers clean up after themselves with little to none help of staff. Eats/Drinks: Tijuana Dog $ 6.25 consist of cheese sauce, jalapeño, crushed habanero chips, tomato/onions on soft baked roll. I like hot dog to roll ration as it overlap roll ends. That’s a must when it comes to hot dogs for me. Hate that first bite being all bread and fixings. There’s nothing special about this dog. It was like mix beef not all-beef and tasted a little bland. Dog wasn’t the size of plump ¼ quarter size found at 7 – 11 stores. Fixings were standard except for the Caribbean isle spice and crushed habanero chips. I swear, I can make this at home too. Can’t complain because I could’ve easily walk away, but being a foodie and curious, I ended grabbing one. Alright, I came and try it, now what? Main Features: The Original Shaka Dog. Products/Services: Chips, hot dogs, fries, popcorn, shaved ice, popcorn tin, Batch Craft Soda, t-shirts/novelties, samples, secret menu, takes plastic. Punch Lines: Fun workers, seats are minimal, food court atmosphere, Hawaiian/Caribbean theme, craft soda, limited menu choices, always buzzing, modest cost, drool-worthy, budget-watchers, imaginable toppings, light bites, hip crowd, can’t go wrong, nothing out of the ordinary, a twist on traditional favorites, interesting takes, good and sloppy, satisfactory. Tradeoffs: Wienerschnitzel type of place with Hawaiian theme to make it more intriguing for the masses. Final Thoughts: When I think of Tijuana Dog, it makes me think bulging eye little chihuahua of Taco Bell. I get the Hawaiian theme, no doubt. It’s like the place was built for some sort of retail goods then decided on doing food/drink and desserts. Walking in, it makes me feel like a place for all things Hawaiian related. That’s until some products and names of it doesn’t seem to go hand in hand. However, I confused about what the goal of the company is.

I just got back from Hawaii North Shore last week, so I had to try this place. — workers were friendly and fun! Treats: Island Breeze shaved ice, plain hot dog, and sampled a potato chip. Shaved ice was okay, but lacking. The condensed milk that we paid extra for was either forgotten or so little that I couldn’t taste it. The flavor syrup was not evenly distributed(lots of shaved ice had no syrup) My son said the hot dog was fine. The potato chip was hot, fresh, and not too salty. I saw plenty of people ordering French fries. I’m not sure about this place yet. I’ll give it another try. A nice addition to the mall.

First let me say that chips and popcorn, both of which you can get samples of, are really great here. The rest of the food, I’m not completely convinced of. My main issue was the hot dogs we ordered had a high ratio of bun to meat. While the bread is very good, I could mostly taste the bun and the condiments on my hot dog. We also ordered a Loaded Potato and Nachos. The Loaded Potato is fries with the fixings of a baked potato on top. The Nachos were chips or your choice with, well, nacho toppings. My concern about both these sides was that the cheese, after a few minutes coagulated instead of flowing and oozing like cheese should. The potato, also could use more seasoning, as they were a little bland in my opinion. That being said, I loved that they used their seasoned chips for the nachos, because there was no chance for the nachos to lack flavor. There is also really good customer service here. The employees are all very friendly and more than wiling to help you figure out what you would like. The food takes a long time to come out, and when our fries did come out, they had bacon, which I had asked to not be on there. Though I did have to wait longer, the staff was more than willing to remake them after checking my order bill. The space in the store is very small, they have a large table that you can eat around, but when I went, it was completely taken over by a family. It would be more of a grab an go place in my opinion. Overall, the vibe is very fun here, so I’m looking forward to making a trip back here to try other things on the menu that I might like better. Last little note: the little tweezers they give when you order fries/nachos? Genius. No more messy hands!

I immediately saw this place from the first floor. The outside of the store front already instantly attracts customers. As soon as I showed my boyfriend he said lets go and we went there right away. You’re instantly drawn by the unusual, but cool display of giant batches of chips. It’s definitely something to bring you into the store to check the place out. I thought it’d be more of a fast food joint, but it’s more of a snacking joint(duh, the name). Kinda comparable to hot dog on a stick in that sense. Automatically I liked the aesthetics of the place. Everything about is really pleasing to the eye. It’s all Hawaiian themed, with easy to read menus and pictures on them. I can’t stress enough how I much I love how they display the chips in the front. They also display the snow cone materials, blended drinks, etc. As for the food, it’s good. I wanted to try the potato chips because here they add toppings to them which is completely different. For example, choose a potato chip flavor and add sour cream, bacon, cheese, etc. But my boyfriend wanted the fries and he was paying so we got that hahah. We ordered the garlic Parmesan fries. They were good but we both wish they were seasoned more. There wasn’t much garlic or cheese flavor to it. Good fries nonetheless. The menu also includes snow cones, blended drinks, lots of fries combos, lots of chips combos, different flavored popcorns and hot dogs. All of which looked good. I hope to try the other stuff. The one downside is this place is pretty pricey. A small tray of fries was about $ 7. Pretty pricey for fries. Customer service here was really good. The cashier was really nice and welcoming. I also had the chance to talk to the owner briefly and he was really nice making sure everything was running smoothly at the place. Overall, great place. I will be back for snacks and back for the potato chips this time(when it’s my turn to pay).

Just got back from Hawaii, and this place hits all the wickets for the snack food offered here. Their hot dogs have the best buns ever — soft, hot, and chewy! The fries are just plain to die for with versions like the Buffalo, which features blue cheese crumbles and powdered Buffalo sauce. Sodas come in a huge variety flavors like passion fruit and pineapple. And they even have great popcorn, which is the crunchiest most flavorful thing you’ve ever had! And you can even sample some while you wait for your food. But the shave ice(NOT shaved) is spot on. You can customize it with all sorts of fruity syrups, though their multi-flavor specialties are good choice. I went with the funny-sounding Monkey Brains and got strawberry, pineapple, and tangerine-mandarin. Fantastic with ice so soft it was really like fruity snow! Definitely on par with Matsumoto’s in Haleiwa minus the option for mochi. They even use a similar kind of machine to make it. However, they do have condensed milk for topping(called a «snow cap») and a super tasty coconut cream as well. If you go here for just one thing, get a shave ice!
