A good place to go for taco Tuesday. The tacos are still a dollar for chicken or pork.

Ordered take out from here today. When I went to the salsa bar, there is a sign that reads: «Salsa for here only, sorry no lids»:(

YUM. YUM. This is my favorite taqueria in the area. I am just a huge fan. I really appreciate the daily deals when I am budgeting. For example, Monday is $ 1 enchiladas and Tuesday is $ 1 tacos… just amazing and that is exactly how the food taste, AH-MAZING. But wait there is more, if you spend over $ 5 you get unlimited chips to use with the salsa bar. The staff is very friendly and the prices for what is on the menu is just right. There is also a catering menu. You can order your catering needs in the location or fax in your order.

Great place to grab lunch. Carne Asada and Pastor Tacos are delicious. Burritos are also great. They even have an Arcade Machine. Brought me memories when I was a kid

I love this place and would give 4 or more but I was totally turned off today. We ordered $ 60 worth of food to go and the lady at the register didn’t ask if wanted a bag for chips. the guy who came in right after us was Mexican, spent about $ 10 and she asked him if he wanted a bag for chips. And we gave them a tip!!! Not cool.

OMG! So glad I gave this place a try. The posole is soooo good. Although on this night the parking lot had shady characters in it(not sure if that’s normal), I’ll be back! Posole is served Saturday and Sunday’s only.

Best al pastor I’ve ever had in my life. Taco Tuesday is the day to get them at $ 1 each! I come here from Vallejo when I get time, just for their tacos and salsa. The green salsa is to die for also.

You can’t beat $ 1 Tacos Tuesday(pork or chicken)! This place is pretty legit Mexican food. I’ve been 15+ times and will be back again. They have lots of meat choices but I like the carnitas tacos best!

Beautiful. So much flavor. I had their carnitas super burrito, with their home-made chips, and home-made salsas. Probably the best carnitas burrito I’ve had in the east bay. Also, the price is fair.

It’s okay. The best I have had near Lafayette. I just didn’t find anything to be exceptional. I have high expectations for taquerias. Please don’t misunderstand, we will definitely go to this place where we stay in Lafayette. My husband had the carne asada burrito and I ordered the taco salad. I appreciated the salsa bar selection. We reveceived lots of meat. No wow factor.

Really good food. Several prawn dishes, excellent fish tacos, and my favorite the wet burrito with chile verde. Super casual & open late.

BF has been wanting to come here for over a year but I always drag him to the Thai place next door. A few months ago I had an inkling for a new hole-in-the-wall place and he was game. So here we are. Their chips taste authentic, as in clog your arteries authentic. Salsa and veggie bar was a bit questionable in cleanliness but then you look around and realize where you are and hope for the best in regards to your GI system. Burritos were a-ok and honestly nothing special. If I’m going to have a damned burrito, I will be going to La Taqueria.

Mexican food in Northern California is just not up to par when compared to Southern California. Still on the search for good Mexican. This restaurant is your average local Mexican Place. Ordered the Al Pastro Super Burrito and their Chicken Wet Burrito. Both were very average(Using this word twice in my review shows why it’s at 3 stars). Their salsa selection is pretty good. Don’t bother phoning your order in advance as it takes just as long or even longer than just ordering at the restaurant.

Ordered one pastor taco and one Asada taco. The pork was super fatty. Like strips of fat in the taco. The steak taco was good. Both were dry. Then the shrimp cocktail. This was my first one and I was hoping for something spectacular. What I got was something I couldn’t even eat. The avocado was minimal ok that’s fine. But the shrimp were not deveined, meaning there was POOP still in the shrimp. I spent 12 $ just on this cocktail and am so disappointed rright now. I just ate my tacos and walked out.

I’m not sure I can build a sufficiently grand and glittering altar worthy of the utter SPLENDOR that is a Los Gallos crispy taco! Yes indeed, we have an absolute embarrassment of riches when it comes to taquerias in this area, but they are not all created equal. And that’s a good thing! I love having a joint just for my street tacos, and I love having a joint that makes Super Bowl-worthy nachos, and I love having a joint that makes a burrito so good it hurts. Los Gallos most definitely owns my crispy taco heart. For $ 8 and change, their two taco meal, paired up with their tasty rice and beans, is a tremendous deal — you won’t leave hungry. And those tacos — I always get carnitas and shredded chicken. Whichever one I start with, I’m so happy with it I momentarily get mad at myself for not getting two of those. Then I move on to the next one and forgive myself because it is equally delicious. Their carnitas are SO tender and flavorful, some of the very best I’ve ever had. And their chicken is STUPID juicy and delicious, they could school every taqueria for miles cuz you know and I know dry chicken is pretty easy to come by. Not here — they are the masters! And don’t forget about the generous dollops of guac and sour cream, oh man — a little excessive perhaps, but you want for nothing on this plate. It’s just… oh my god, pure Mextasy! If I haven’t sold you on these tacos, then you must know a place that somehow is even better and are loyal to the core. If that’s true, please PM me that location. ;) In the meantime, get your tushy to Los Gallos, disappointment is simply not an option!

On a search for a California Burrito comparable to back home in SD. Found this place via Unilocal. Nice little shop in the plaza, loved their free chips(for orders only $ 4 or more), and their variety in the salsa bar. The salsas bar was a bit messy/dirty so I didnt really try too much of what was there. Asked if they had a California Burrito(I saw it in Unilocal reviews) because it was not on their menu or wall photos. The guy said yes and the price for it wasn’t too bad, about $ 6.xx. Received my burrito and went on home. First impression was that their tortilla was nice and fresh; not too stiff for a flour tortilla like the ones you buy in store. Took a bite and discovered that the fries were thick steak fries :| The meat was a little too salty and there was hardly any cheddar or sour cream. Almost every bite, I had a mouthful of soft steak fries and some meat which I didn’t like too much. The burrito definitely had a good size to it but sadly, didn’t taste too good. Still on the hunt for a decent California burrito.

Huuuge chimichanga that was pretty nice. Wasn’t greasy, but was still nice. And gotta love free tortilla chips and their salsa bar. Of course, you have to purchase something at least $ 4 or more. A bit farther from my other location, but worth trying out.

Came here for a quick lunch and it was okay. I ordered just a tostada de ceviche. I wanted to order more than $ 4 because they won’t give out chips unless you spend $ 4, but then they also have a minimum of $ 6 to spend on your card. So restricting. Also, not much tables to sit at. My tostada was tasty and had lots of avocado slices on it! But the service as far as paying options without restrictions, and seating/the tables could’ve been cleaner.
