A beacon of light in the darkness of little Greenwood. Casey’s is a gas station/convenience store with a little pissaria(sorry my last letter of the alphabet on my keboard isn’t working). Their pissas, although a little pricey are darn good and cheesy. enough cheese to choke a chicken. The gas prices are very competetive. They are always the lowest prices of all those in Lee’s Summit and Greenwood if not the same price as others. The cashiers are friendly and the local Greenwood cops often hangthere in the midnight watch when nothing else is going on. A couple times, their satellite has gone out when I’ve run my debit/credit card at the pump or in the store, but they will just run it manually… no big deal. They have good, fresh donuts, too, if you get them in the morning. Free air for your tires and window wash thingys to wash your windows. Visit lovely Greenwood and it’s only gas station, Casey’s.

A normal human being does not typically go to a gas station to order pizza. They usually go there to order gas. Trust me on this one, I’ve seen it happen hundreds of times in my life. I’ve even done it myself! Tucked away in a back corner of Casey’s General Store is a small white kitchen containing about six different appliances. One of them converts things that were previously not hot into things that are currently hot. One of them cuts things, thereby transforming one large object into several smaller objects which retain the same basic properties of the original. The function of the remaining items are anybody’s guess. I hardly ever see employees doing anything in this room besides avoiding it. Despite all this, Casey’s somehow manages to put out great pizza. I don’t mean great as in «somebody call up that fat blond jerk from the Food Network and tell him to visit,» but great as in «it’s Pleasant Hill.» I’ve got nothing bad to say about their food, and the old ladies working as cashiers are always entertaining and friendly. They were briefly closed for violating a health code, something about having dead bugs in their freezer or something. That shouldn’t affect anybody unless they order a frozen pizza. My original opinion remains firm.
