After being told I had a complex ovarian cyst, my gynecologist recommended an MRI. They referred me to DPI, who never picks up the phone. Nervous and desperately wanting to get the MRI as soon as possible, I found CMI in a Google search. It was a Thursday and I wanted to get it done before the weekend so I can get the results and have peace of mind. I called and spoke to Latilda, who was very nice and professional. She initially told me that they didn’t have any openings until Wednesday of the following week. I was anxious so I told her that I’d call back and looked for other places. Either the others didn’t answer the phone, or they told me that for my insurance, I have to wait at least 5 business days. Latilda at CMI called me back about 10 minutes later and asked me if I could make it there right now and she could squeeze me in for an appointment. When I got there, she told me that she could tell in my voice that I was nervous and wanted to get me in right away. Because it was in the evening, it was too late to verify my insurance, so Latilda told me not to worry about the co-pay. From the moment they saw me, I was happy with them. The woman who did the MRI was also very nice and accommodating. Not to mention very gentle with the needle when she gave me the contrast. A lot of phlebotomists jam it in your arm. My doctor requested that I get contrast, and I’ve never had it before so I was concerned about side affects. She reassured me that I wouldn’t have any and that I’d be fine. They sent the results to my doctor first thing in the morning as they promised. My doctor was out the next day, so I called CMI and asked them if I could pick up the results myself so that I could see the radiology report. My mother is a doctor so she was able to understand what it said. The woman at CMI told me if I stop by, they’ll give me a copy. Most places give you a hard time about this if your doctor hasn’t seen it yet. I went there and it was ready for me in an envelope. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody who needs an MRI done.
