This is the first Mediterranean place in Broward county that has been able to compete with the wonderful places my wife and I used to eat at in Miami. This is a pretty standard«hole in the wall» treasure. It’s non-assuming in a shopping plaza that doesn’t get your attention. We’ve driven by it many times without realizing it was even there. Inside is a bit small, but plenty spacious. It’s very relaxed and the waiters and waitresses are polite, friendly, and patient. The food is absolutely delicious. My wife and I shared a plate of beef and chicken kebabs. I forget the proper names of the dishes, but they’re unmistakable considering they only really offer kebabs, stews, and salads. I would highly recommend this place for a(somewhat expensive) lunch or a(standard priced) dinner.

I love this restaurant! I came for the lunch buffet and only reason I won’t give 5 stars is because the buffet trays are very small(like a regular-sized plates) and when the food comes out people literally fight to get to the food. The food is delicious though and they’re hot tea is amazing. I also love how they have a little shop that’s connected to the restaurant so you can get a wide variety of imported products like spices, grains, traditional glass tea cups and more.

This place is good. The buffet they have is wonderful with good variety and fresh food. They don’t put a lot out at one time, but they are sure to never leave anything empty for too long. This way you know they’re making it fresh when they bring it out. I’ve been to other buffets where you end up waiting for so long for them to refill their dish, in which I never return, but this place keeps their dishes stocked in a reasonable amount of time. Good location in a busy intersection, easy to find. The only knock I had against them was that the waitress kept looking at my table in a way like she was annoyed that I was eating a lot. One of the other guys in the back came out(owner?) and he started looking over too. I’ll be honest, I hadn’t eaten the night before or the morning of so I was pretty darn hungry, but you can’t have people feeling unwelcome. That plus tasty food is a deadly combination for a buffet. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Solid 4 stars.

BESTKEBABEVERR I am a huge fan of Persian food but for some reason I had never tried this place before. However, this time I went in with my husband. Firstly, the service, they were very humble and friendly. We walked in around their closing time, and unlike other places, they were very warm welcoming. As soon as we adjusted at our table. I looked around, the environment was quite«Persian» as well. The paintings and other material on the wall gave quite of an aromatic Persian environment. Soon, the guy walked in with a menu. As it was our first time so we decided to give a try to their hummus, and two platters, one with chicken kebab and beef steak with rice, and one with chicken bites and chicken kebab with rice. The food took a while to come around 10 – 15 minutes. But as soon as it came the presentation caught my interest. Their hummus and the two platters, were creatively presented. They did a great job on that. But as you all know, never judge a book by its cover so I still didn’t get too excited and took a little bite. Oh my god. The food was amazing! The hummus was great and quite different. The food, the chicken kebab were the best, I had never eaten those kebab anywhere else… They were just wonderful and mouth watering. Overall, their service is great, food is amazing and fresh. Definitely worth a try!

My name is Samona from Arizona. I was at the Caspian resturant tonight, Mr Navid and Mrs. Mahbobeh treated me so well. I was extremely impressed with food, manner, price, … Everything was FANTASTIC! I make it a point to visit a Persion restaurant in every town I visit. I will definitely recommend Soltani & Chicken Kabab ! Yummmmmmmy.

It was ok. Price was great. The cucumber salad was watery. Rice was poor quality. On the plus side, the water tasted like water.

Being Persian, we know the food. Came for the lunch buffet and its pretty good. Worth the price. My mom being a killer cook herself, thought the stews didn’t have the time to mix and blend the flavors so in other words, out of a can which you can buy next door at the market which is connected to this place. But coming off a cruise ship, the food tasted amazing. Lol, i don’t know if thats saying much. Employees were very nice. Place is a hole in the wall. Oh and get the tea, its really good. Put a sugar cube in your mouth then sip, thats the way you drink Persian tea. Don’t embarrass yourself putting the cubes in the tea.

Went there for lunch today and were pleasantly surprised. We paid $ 12 for lunch buffet and was amazed at the wonderful selection. Cucumber/yoghurt salad, cucumber/tomato salad, humus, flat bread, two different rice selections and tons of meat toppings including kebab. We enjoyed our tasty dishes and would definitely come back the next time we come to Fort Lauderdale. FYI… the price does not include a drink.

From Los Angeles where Persian food is a staple and I learned to count to 10 from my Persian friends in middle school. Growing up on tahdig and ghormesabzi in their homes. When I moved to Boca Raton– people Don’t even know what I’m talking about. I met a Woman whose background was Iranian at Greek Isles in Fort Lauderdale and she suggested Caspian. It exceeded our expectations. Everything was soooo good. My husband said it was the best he ever had. We can’t wait to go back!

Great Persian food, meat quality is fair, but in general the food and service are good. Since they have no real competition, they get 4 stars. I love that they are available of ‘Delivery Dudes’. Best Persian food in town(not like there are many options).

I came here to meet a friend for dinner. She is familiar with Persian food(my experience was mostly limited to must ‘o’ khiar and kabobs through a college boyfriend), but she has Persian friends that cook for her and there’s also a large Persian community in Michigan, where she is from. She assured me the food at Caspian was authentic, and a friend of hers, a recent Persian immigrant, corroborated. I hadn’t had Persian food in years, so I was more than willing to drive the 30 miles or so to the restaurant, considering this a much-needed treat. From the moment I sat down, the service was prompt. I was not sure what to order, so we decided to just order a bunch of dishes so we could try the different flavors, and we’d split them amongst ourselves. The waiter also helped us with some recommendations. We decided to start off with the kashkeh bademjan, which I guess you could say is the Persian equivalent of baba ghanouj(eggplant purée). It was warm and flavorful, a great way to start off our dinner, accompanied by pita. Next, I wanted to order the fessenjan stew, which is chicken stewed in a pomegranate sauce, but sadly, they had run out. The waiter recommended a stew trio instead, to introduce us to different flavors, so we took his suggestion. It arrived beautifully, in three different bowls. The first one was the ghaimeh, which contains yellow split peas and chunks of beef in a tomato-based sauce. It had a good amount of cinnamon in it, which gave it a nice flavor, as well as lime juice. The second stew was the ghormeh sabzi. At first, I thought this was a vegetarian dish, since it was so green, which is partly right, as it contains parsley and cilantro, as well as beans, but it also had chunks of beef, and again, lime juice. The last stew contained roasted eggplant with beef. This sauce was also tomato-based, but did not contain cinnamon. Basmati rice accompanied the entrée. We helped ourselves to the sampling of stews, and I would say the ghaimeh was my favorite, though they were all delicious. I just love the taste of cinnamon in food, it’s so exotic and unusual, considering most people treat this spice exclusively as a dessert spice! To lighten up the heaviness of the stews, we got the shirazi salad. It reminded me of a combination of a traditional Greek salad(which does not contain lettuce), and tabouleh. They use cucumbers, tomato, red onion and parsley with olive oil and lemon juice. It was very refreshing, and would be perfect on a hot summer day! We were also treated to tahdig, which is crispy rice. You place some of the stew on it and the warm gravy softens the rice. It’s meant to be a sort of side dish. Of course, you cannot leave a Persian restaurant without having dessert, and even people who do not have a sweet tooth will have a hard time resisting the dessert choices. You must get the makhloot! This allows you to try two of the dessert favorites at the same time, and you will love it. It includes Persian ice cream and faloodeh. I had never had Persian ice cream, so I was looking forward to it. It’s vanilla ice cream mixed with saffron and rose water, topped with pistachio and sour cherry preserve. The faloodeh is sort of a ball, made of tangled rice sticks and ice, rose water, and comes with a lime so you can pour the lime juice and watch the sticks and ice come apart, as they start to melt off. This dessert was amazing. I love the smell of rose water, and the aroma is also intense, like perfume in your mouth. Sweet and aromatic! Then, came the damage in the form of the credit card bill. Let’s just say, the prices aren’t cheap and leave it at that. Apparently, they have a lunch buffet. This might be a more affordable option, but it only goes on during the week, and I work in Miami. If you live in this area, it might be a great way to get exposed to the different dishes and spices Persian cuisine has to offer, without breaking the bank. Take advantage of it. As for me, I will save this place as a very occasional treat for myself whenever my friend is back in town. Don’t feel too bad for me – being able to come seldomly will actually make it feel even more special when I do come!

Caspian Persian Grill replaced Kuluck, I was a fan of Kuluck, they offered a great buffet for $ 11.95. Now with Caspian taking over the space, they kept the same buffet set up but increased the price to $ 12.95. I found the food good but not to be as good as Kuluck, which is very disappointing. Caspian has made some renovations to the restaurant, the buffet area is nicer and so is the new paint and decoration which adds to a nicer ambiance, but it is very disappointing that the food isn’t as good as Kuluck’s used to be, especially since they serve pretty much the same food — Lavash(thin flatbread), spreads like Hummus, eggplant dip, yogurt and cucumber dip, tabouli, Basmati rice, crispy rice, meat balls, a pasta dish, veggie patties, chicken stew, beef stew, chicken kabobs, ground beef patties, fruit, cookies, small cupcakes, Lentil soup, and a few other items. Also, like Kuluck the buffet aren’t labeled which would be helpful to know at least some of the main ingredients. Service is friendly, but it may take some effort in getting their attention to get refills and the check. Great place for a quick lunch. Food 3 Ambiance 3 Service 3

I used to eat here when the first owner used to own it and it wasn’t good, then the restaurant changed owner and the quality wasn’t still good, then the kuluck restaurant owner moved here and the food was much better, but unfortunately he sold it back to previous owner. Now he has sold the restaurant back to previous owner and Kuluck has moved to a new location. Anyhow, the new Caspian grill Has been open for almost few months now and I got the chance to try it. Let me tell you the food is ok, and the price is too much. Beef Soltani price is 25 dollars which is really too much and the meat wasn’t that tasty for that price. The buffet price has also increased to $ 13.95 which is too much for a buffet. I ordered Faloudeh for desert and it wasn’t good and the Baklava was old . I was just disappointed for the quality. As a Persian who knows her food, this was not up to the standard. The food looks better in photos than what it really tastes.

Excellent! The food is great, the service is great, what else is there to ask for? The food is full of flavor and spices, but isn’t spicy, which for me is great. I highly recommend the ice cream with rose petal and pistachio.
