Super tasty! I came here on a Thursday with some colleagues a short time after noon. Like others have mentioned, it’s kind of like Chipotle, but with Mediterranean food. I chose the wrap. One of my coworkers said the beet hummus was amazing, so I went out on a limb and tried it. SODELICIOUS! Service was good, food was delicious, and the price point was also good. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Mama pita is a healthy spot to grab a quick bite. The falafel and hummus are very tasty they are what I normally get. on their plate meals the offer a tortilla like bread which I do not care for. If you dont know if you will like something they will give you a little taste to help those who are afraid to try new things

YUMMY! Customizing your Mediterranean food never tasted soooo good! It was our first visit which was made clear by all of our questions — for goodness sakes, they had four different hummus options! The employee kindly offered samples of everything which we gladly accepted. The garlic hummus might as well just be called garlic. You’ll need a bucket of breath mints and mouthwash, but for garlic lovers, it’s completely worth it. I stuffed my pita pocket with so many options, a fork and knife were necessary. Fajita fiancé ordered the platter which was large enough for two.

I really liked this place. The people were friendly and made it easy for me to order. I’ve never Ben there before and they didn’t make me feel like I had never Ben there before. The guy taking my order gave me all my options and told me how many things to pick. I hate going into a new place and not know knowing how they operate but they made it super easy for me. I had a pita with chicken and orange hummus. It was full of flavor and fresh veggies.

I didn’t expect much from this place since it’s not like a mom n pop joint, but it really delivers! You have a choice of pita, salad or plate and get to choose salads, dips, toppings and a meat/falafel. The tabouleh is really good, and I love the carrot hummus! The falafel is really yummy as well as the kefta and chicken. This has become one of my favorite go-tos!

First of all, I USED to love this place even though the staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. Every single time I ordered food over the phone, the employees were rude. Last time I at food from this place(12/30/2015), I was deathly sick for hours afterwards!!! AVOIDTHISPLACE if u want to keep your food down!

Had Mama Pita’s for lunch takeout at work. We had a lunch work meeting. We were about 10 people and had quite a few selections. Chicken and beef as proteins and a number of sides, hummus, eggplant, rice and others. Very well prepared. Everything well wrapped for take out. Overall great take out experience.

This place is awesome! As everyone else said, it’s like a Mediterranean chipotle, but with even more options. I ordered the chicken kabob with potatoes. For my dips and salads I tried the tabouli, cucumber salad, baba ganoush and tzatziki. Both of the dips were amazing! They were thick, creamy and full of flavor. The salads were good too. All of the ingredients were very fresh. I hope they come to Cali!

I’ve been hearing rave reviews about Mama Pita ever since I mentioned I love Zoe’s Kitchen. I finally got the chance to check this place. Like others have mentioned, it’s like a Mediterranean Chipotle but unlike Chipotle, they do limit you on the sauce/sides you can get. You get an option of getting a platter, wrap or salad and I chose to get the platter which includes 2 dips, a protein, 2 salads and a side. You choose your dips first and it was a bit overwhelming without a guidance since there are six different dips. Then you choose 2 different salads, then rice/beans/potatoes. Next your protein and they will ask if you want any sauce. I got the garlic and the eggplant dips. Both very delicious with the garlic because my favorite but very strong. I chose a salad and rice for my sides, neither worth mentioning really. Then I got a chicken skewer and added a steak skewer for an additional $ 2, both good but a little dry. Then I added potatoes which were good. They gave me the hot chili sauce and the cilantro basil sauce which were both really good for dipping. My platter also included a huge pita which like others have mentioned, resembles a tortilla more than a pita. I would say I’m not overly impressed this time around but would love to come back and try some of the other items they offer since they have a variety of food. Workers were nice but wished they were more helpful in the ordering process.

This place was delcious! Please be aware though, if you are celiac, you may have some trouble with contamination. The first girl who served me did not seem to understand what I was asking when I asked what was gluten free. A lady who seemed like the manager came over and told me what exactly was gluten free, however I had to ask for them to use new utensils since I noticed the same spoons being used for the hummus that were spread directly on the pita bread. I’m still not sure if I was contaminated from this place, so it may not be the best safe option for me personally. Which is a shame since I really LOVED the food! Lots of fresh options including carrot and beet hummus(the beet flavor was too much for me), fresh falafel, spiced potatoes, and great salads. If I can find better information online about their ingredients, I may go back when they’re not busy and can take their time with my order.

The chipotle of Mediterranean food. I really enjoy all of their dips, but my favorite is the babaganush. I usually favor the pita wraps with chicken for myself and chicken & potato bowls for the kids. The house made lemonade is also a favorite with the kids.

This place is essentially the Chipotle of Mediterranean food. Select a wrap, platter or salad, then tell the folks down the line what you want on it. I selected the platter, which nets you a honking big wrap(«pita») folded up in foil to go with your meal I asked for tzaziki and baba ganoush as my dips; the former was cool and creamy, the latter was smoky and tangy, better than many«sit down» restaurants I’ve been to. Moving to salad, I asked for tabbouli and orzo pasta. The tabbouli was fairly standard, very fresh and tasted extra good with a little feta. The pasta salad was fairly tame and could use some additional spice. Finally, I selected kafta(beef kebob) for my protein, and potatoes for a bit of starch. The kafta was tasty, made from fairly finely ground meat, but nicely spiced. I dipped it on that cool tzaziki, and it really was good. The wrap was decent, more of a tortilla almost, but it did make a nice vehicle for the baba ganoush. Overall, this was a surprisingly good meal at a quick casual restaurant. Great for lunch or a quick evening meal before a movie or other main event.

Pretty good value for what you get! I got the kafta platter which basically gave you 2 sauces, 3 sides, and your choice of meat. Kafta is a combination of beef and lamb and I thought it was good when I mixed it with everything. I also got the hummus, tziziki sauce, salad, orzo, and potatoes. The orzo was super delicious and my favorite! Talk about a hunk of food! All of it was under $ 10. It comes with a large piece of pita and I will say that I wasn’t really impressed with it. Super thing and dry. Other than that, pretty filling and good value.

Mama Pita’s concept is great. It’s like a Chipotle for Mediterranean food(although come on… how do you not have gyro meat as an option?). You can do a wrap or a platter. I opted for a falafel platter, which came with 2 dips, 2 salads, my choice of rice or potatoes, and«pita» on the side(more on that later). The falafel was tasty but waaaay too crunchy on the outside. It looked like I got the bottom of the barrel and perhaps the fresh batch wasn’t quite so hard, but that’s not what I ate so I can’t base my review on what the next person in line was given. I went with tzatziki and plain hummus for my dips, Greek and orzo for my salads, and rice. All of the side items were good and it amounted to a lot of food. The pita, however, was a glorified tortilla. It was nice and warm and was great with the plain hummus, but in no universe would I have identified that particular carb as pita bread. The kid’s «grilled cheese pita» is a quesadilla. While I appreciate the creativity behind naming it a «grilled cheese» anything, let’s just call a spade a spade. Comes with rice or potatoes and a fountain drink(no healthy drink options for kids). I won’t rate them down due to the fact that their AC was broken, but come on Mama Pita, if your AC is out at least set up some fans for your customers when it’s over 100 degrees outside. Not my first choice out of the many options available at the Shops.

Great place to eat when it’s hot outside! I love the food at Mama Pita. It’s so fresh and light but they definitely give you enough to fill you up. I usually get 2 meals out of my chicken plate. I love their fresh veggies and sides.

This is our first visit here. My wife and I are celebrating our 13th Anniversary and stopped for some Mediterranean Cuisine. We ordered two«Plates». The food was VERY good and reasonably priced. But there is something to be said about the cleanliness of the place. The booths were all dirty even though we were the only clients there. And the floor was grossly sticky; just like a New York City’s Movie Theater. The bathrooms were very clean, though. Would I come back? Probably, if I’m in the area. But I don’t see myself traveling all the way from Irving just to dine here.

I think I’ve found my new«fast food but healthier and better» favorite place to go to. It’s similar to Chipotle(meet its Mediterranean cousin) in the way that you can build your own wrap or pita(I recommend the wrap), but you can also order a plate-version instead if you want more of a typical entrée meal. Unlike Chipotle though, you can’t just put EVERYTHING into your wrap; instead, you get to pick two sauces, two salads, a meat(or veggie), a carb(I recommend the potatoes over the beans or rice), and a dressing. However, their«limit» is more than enough to build a solid, big burrito-like wrap. They have so many options though, like THREE different kinds of hummus! It’s awesome. All the ingredients taste fresh and so delicious. And unlike Chipotle, I’ve never had to wait in a long line to order food so it’s much faster but tastes just as good — if not better!

Very fresh, inexpensive, and fast mediterranean food! It’s the mediterranean style Chipotle and you can get a plate, salad, or wrap. I usually get the plate and it comes with 2 dips, salad, rice/beans/or potatoes, and your choice of meat. The portion is perfect if you’re watching what you eat but still filling enough where you won’t fill hungry afterwards. I like the regular hummus and the garlic aioli is a great dip with your meat but very pungent! The chicken is very flavorful and not dry. Try the mint lemonade as well. refreshing and not too tart. Since it’s in the Shops of Legacy… parking can be a nightmare but it’s worth it!

Good mediterranean food. You can order a salad, plate, or pita with chicken, falafel, kafta, or veggie. Also good hummus. Their food is very fresh. Good spot for lunch.
