Burgers your game? Jimmy’s should be your go to place in Plano. Arab dudes run this joint so they know a thing or two about QUALITY beef, ok? Burgers fill ip your basket… at lesst the part not swamped by the generous serving of crisy French fries. New Go To place for burgers for me now!

Some things were good, others not so much. The tater tots were the best things on the menu. But I would expect tzaziki with a gyro and we got ranch dressing instead. Most of the soda fountains were out of service too. But on a good note, the service was very nice.

My husband and I went here just yesterday. We got one Ferris burger and the Friday biryani special. We got our food in a timely matter and the taste was shockingly amazing. The burger was huge and quite juicy, the biryani tasted fresh and homemade. The service is great, prices are on target and the food is delicious. Highly recommend!

Hubby and I grabbed lunch here and it was good. Nothing to call home about. The patties weren’t fresh made — definitely frozen. Bacon was a little under cooked. Friendly staff though.

Meh, that’s the one word I could use to best describe this place. The service wasn’t anything spectacular, but honestly I couldn’t care, I was starving and hankering a delicious burger. Menu is a bit interesting, including many items beyond the typical burger joint. When we finally decided on a burger for my wife and I we opted from fries and tater tots. We showed up at an odd time of day, roughly 3pm so no one was around. Food didn’t take long and since there were only 2 employees I could see that our food was being made fresh to order. Based on some of the previous complaints, this was a concern of mine. Ding, order is up, it’s now time to devour our food like it was a scene in Jurassic Park. Gave the food a good whiff, couldn’t wait. Sadly, it was far from that. The burgers didn’t have any taste, fresh off the grill. More like a simple patty melt. Burgers are extremely well-done at this place. If you like any pink, I don’t recommend this joint. Plenty of options out there. May try again, but that will be after I exhaust 20 other locations I want to hit.

Jimmy’s burgers… I thought I definitely want to try this out. The staff smiled but didn’t say much. We ordered a patty melt and a burger with cheese fries. Absolutely horrible! I tried to be polite and eat the entire meal or most of it and I just couldn’t get it down. It was very bland and the texture was off. I won’t be going back here for a «burger»

I had seen this location months ago and marked it on Unilocal. So the other day we wanted a burger and felt like trying something new. Upon arriving my radar went up when I noticed several other items advertised as available on the front window. I’ve discovered this is not a pure burger place and usually doesn’t rise to a high burger standard if a large varied menu is available. So we approached the counter to order. Everyone was nice, the place is spacious well lit and clean. We ordered the Del Rio to share with fries. It was a strange afternoon time so only 2 other diners were there. It was taking quite awhile considering but, no hurry especially waiting on a potentially great new burger find right? Wrong! Wa, Wa, Waaaa… I went to cut the burger in half and was having a hard time, I assumed it was the extra thick tomato. First rule slice the ubiquitous tomato thin as to overcome its lack of flavor and toughness. But, who cares really if you may be on the verge of a great new burger discovery right? So I pressed on finally getting it cut in half whe n I realized it was the meat I was having a time with. Sure enough the first bite revealed a tough tasteless patty that had been way overcooked. What a disappointment. So in my opinion if you get a burger this wrong it’s never gonna be right. The fries were hand cut, fresh and delicious Bottom line I recommend you exhaust all other hamburger options in the area before going here. Sad part is I just had a better burger in Paris than this one in my home state!

The burgers are good but for the price its expensive. Because of halal they may be pricing higher but they need to improve taste of the meat as well.

Ordered the Alamo Hamburger which was an American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and mayo burger. The meat was very thick and well cooked. The bun was fresh as were all the condiments. Ordered the sweet potato fries which my spouse says were some of the best she has eaten. I ordered the fried onion rings which were large and well battered. There was just five rings to the order which was priced at $ 3.50 which is a tad bit high. The sweet potato fries were priced at $ 3.50. Drinks were self service and the lemonade appeared to have been watered down as it was very weak. The restaurant is very clean in the dining area and from what I could see the kitchen was likewise. The restrooms were very clean. Service was slow and especially considering the fact we were the only two ordering, as two EMSs sitting in a booth already had their order. A group of women later came in and it took forever for them to place their order. I don’t know if it was their inability to make up their minds or the cashier was just slow in taking orders. The food was good however service very slow.

Heard great things about this place while I was on my visit from Florida! Had to come try to the Jungle burger and beef brisket. Definitely one of the best burgers and brisket sandwiches I’ve had and it’s a plus that all the meat is fresh and halal. I’ll definitely be back! Very clean and the service was great.

The burgers used to be a lot better, but they got worse for some reason. The variety of burgers they offer is great and a lot of them are tasty in theory, but the execution is lacking recently. The meat is good quality, but they seriously skimp out on the amount of meat in each patty. They never used to do this, but now they consistently do. Its a shame. Also, the buns could use some improvement. Right now they’re just using the standard ones that taste like ones you could find at a grocery store. Prices are excellent, and their combos are great value. They give you a ton of tater tots which is awesome. I’d come here if I needed something quick and decent, but it’s nothing special. The actual restaurant itself is very clean and spacious, ambiance is extremely appropriate for a burger place. This place has potential, but is currently not achieving it.

Updated review from July 2015 when I wrote a 1-star review; «They were NOT open for business as advertised at noon Sunday. Had to call out to staff in kitchen to get their attention as we found door open but lights off. Disinterested cook said they would be ready in another hour.» Returned Aug 2015 and had a good meal. They served the biggest hand-made burger in town with a bun to match. Good to have choice of fries; curly fries or sweet potato fries. For a weekend lunch hour we were the only customers except for frequent takeout customers but I counted at least 10 people in kitchen who were very busy fixing food. They must have doing some catering business.

Wandering around the Plano/Richardson area again and saw I’d had this place bookmarked. Wandered in, hungry for a burger. Here’s the lowdown: The Good: Cute décor; lots of bright color photos of burgers, Texas, Cattle, etc. The pile of tots I received was huge and they were done just right: crispy on the outside, fluffy inside without a lot of residual grease. Giant loved his burger; mine was ok too and I like they put the lettuce on the bottom, to guard against the dreaded Bun Failure. The service was fast and friendly, although it seemed strange that my meal came out five minutes or so before the Giant’s so I sat and stared at my delicious tots. Until his came out. The Meh: The fries could have been either double fried(blanched first, then refried for outside crispiness) or left in the fryer a bit longer. They were underdone, just a tad. My burger was ok; I rather like wall to wall meat, but this wasn’t and the bun was a tiny bit dry. The«Huh?»: there was no one at the counter for quite a few minutes when we first arrived, but once our order was taken and subsequently delivered, the counter person disappeared, never to be seen again. Leaving the entire front of the place empty and unattended. Even weirder, the phone rang. And rang. And rang. Unanswered, even after some guy came out from the kitchen to fetch some plastic to-go bags, and left the phone ringing. And ringing. And ringing. It never did get answered. Morale: don’t phone your to go order in.

I had been reading reviews on Unilocal about a good burger place, and this one came up. I decided to go in and try it out. When I first walked in, I was the only customer in the place, and it was dinner time on Saturday which was strange to me. The front staff seemed nice, and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. I happened to tell the guy taking my order that this was my first time here, so I was anxious to see what they had, so I thought they’d really make something good. Hence to say, that was my last time there too, and it made sense that no more customers were there, because they were smart. I started eating my burger, and it was absolutely uneatable. It had absolutely no flavor, no seasoning, was overcooked, and wasn’t even that hot. The lettuce on the burger was browner than the meat. The worst part of this experience was the bacon. It wasn’t even cooked, was cold and chewy. Almost made me gag. I had to take the bacon off the burger to even force more of that disgusting food down. I mean, it was like raw bacon they’d feed a lion at the zoo. The ketchup they serve at Jimmy’s burger is disgusting. I recommend if anyone is dumb enough to dare to try this place, bring your own ketchup if you need any. Eat their ketchup at your own risk. I mean, maybe the other food they serve there is ok. I would never recommend a burger from this place to anyone. I might give them a call for some raw(I mean hopefully cooked) bacon they serve on their bacon cheeseburgers though for the next time we take an African expedition to feed wild animals, but that’s it.

Reason we ended up in this place after 4th of July fireworks was because we were craving for burger and this was one of the few places still open. Glad we it was open, ’cause this was one of the best burgers I have ever had! I Ordered Double Jungle Burger and my wife ordered steak and cheese on sourdough. The jungle was so delicious that she abandoned hers and ordered one for her! That should tell you, this is a joint worth coming back. Never had tandoori fries before, it was a bit spicy but good flavor. Decent customer service and open late for midnight munchers.

Stopped by here with my wife at around 8 p.m. to get carry-out. We were the only customers at the time. The place was quiet and clean. There was only one person working at the cash register at the time and he was busy on the phone taking phone orders. This gave us time to look at the menu and decided to order the Jimmy Jungle Burger, Chicken Biryani and a side of fries. The Jimmy Jungle burger and fries were amazing! The chicken biryani tasted OK until I almost shattered my teeth with the bone fragments, hard clover shells and seeds. I ended up not eating half of it since I got frustrated picking through the bone fragments and hard stuff in the biryani. Be careful when you eat this dish.
