Out of business. This restaurant is closed. It is going to open under a different name on 3/11, but Arroyo’s is gone.

I visited an empty Arroyo’s Friday just before lunch ended. The only employee I spotted was bending down behind bar. In order to not scare him, I said hello loudly a couple of times. When he finally looked up, I asked for a menu and told him I would sit at a nearby table. He told me the bar area was closed as cleaning was about to start but I could sit anywhere else in the restaurant area. As I walked off to find a table, he asked if he could get me a drink. I ordered a $ 3 margarita with sugar and a glass of water. He brought my margarita without the sugar coating… I guess I didn’t need it anyway. The orange juice based margarita okay. I’ll definitely try a frozen one next time. I asked if he was operating the restaurant alone as no one else appeared to be working. He stated he was the manager and was awaiting his wait staff to return. I initially tried ordering the 2 enchilada plate with beef fajita and queso since the menu stated«your choice of enchiladas». Instead, I was told I only had a choice of beef, chicken or cheese. Perhaps Arroyo’s should edit their menu stating this. I went with 1 chicken and 1 beef enchilada. Overall, the enchiladas were pretty good and didn’t take long at all to come out. I also ordered churros con cajeta which proved to be entirely too hard. When the manager came by to ask how they were, I told him a bit too crunchy. He was surprised telling me churros are crunchy and any that are soft are undercooked. Perhaps I should have said too hard. I know my churros and the ones they serve here are entirely too hard. I will visit Arroyo’s again as I was impressed with food and service from manager but will skip dessert.

I went to this restaurant and typically i’m not a big fan of restaurants serving Mexican food, because I grew up eating authentic Mexican food and when tasting other place’s signature plates or things I’ve eaten before it tastes bland and flavorless. Anyways! This place does just the opposite, it serves up flavors in a big sized plate that will make you take food to go. I had the Milanesa(breaded chicken) served with rice, bean, fries, extra small salad*. I loved the plate but the salad that it came with was literally the size of a middle finger measuring in diameter separating the rice and beans. Wish I had a little bit more salad, but honestly I wasn’t there for the salad but for the main course, which was really great!

This was the best authentic Mexican food I have had in a long time. The salsa was very tasteful and fresh. We had the Queso Flameado for an appetizer. The presentation was entertaining. It had a hint of sweet flavor that was amazing. Also had the Arroys Special. A little bit of everything. I would highly recommend trying this place. The small hole in the wall places end up having the best food. We will be back.

One word DELICIOUS! I had the pleasure of trying Arroyos’ out with my girlfriend this past Sunday. She mentioned a deal she purchased on groupon and that we should try it out(since we are both foodies and love trying out new spots) she knows how much I love and appreciate GOOD Mexican food. So it felt like a great idea. Upon arriving we were greeted and seated within seconds which was nice, as we were seated our drink orders were taken and we received our drinks and complimentary chips paired with a black bean dip and salsa. Our waiter then proceeded to take our order(we decided before hand we would order the parrillada for two) which had chicken & beef fajitas, tablitas, sausage, and shrimp accompanied with a generous side of pico de gallo, guac, sour cream, refried beans and rice. And if that doesn’t make your mouth water to top it off they served them with your choice of home made flour or corn tortillas and if you are a true fan of Mexican food you know the tortillas are a pretty big deal. Over all my experience was GREAT the service was prompt and none of my requests were ever too much(I probably asked for napkins and limes with a side of salsa verde and had our poor waiter running back and forth to the kitchen multiple times.) Arroyos has earned my kudos and recommendation on food and service. if you don’t believe any of what you’ve read, see the video I have attached because a photo would not have served this very delicious encounter any justice.

This place was amazing. There were authentic dishes and atmosphere. They have great drinks and drink specials. We ordered the Arroyo special and the Chimichanga plate. The food portions are huge so I recommend sharing. I am not a fan of their salsa but that is because it is made with roasted tomatoes. I would for sure come here again. The service was excellent and attentive.

Ask for Martha if you want to ensure a better experience. Actually I don’t know if all staff is better but I’m glad I tried this place another time. I do think my waitress may be a big difference in my experience. I came on a Sunday evening and the place was still very dead but my waitress was attentive and the food didn’t disappoint. The salsa was better this time. It had something charred in it that really had a great flavor. Otherwise it is standard canned tomatoes blended with onions and some spices. It has some heat to it but maybe about medium for he average person. There is a black bean dip that was pretty good also and I’m not that great a black bean fan. If you ask, they will bring you a red and/or a green sauce. The red sauce is sort of their take on a Tabasco sauce — with less vinegar. The green sauce tasted like jalapeños blended with something. These are not salsas — they are sauces. They are both spicy — the red spicier. These are both hot — not medium. The chips are standard fare but not greasy. I tried fajita nachos again and this time I enjoyed the meal. Martha was very great at making me feel welcome and told me that I should come back in a Friday night to see their mariachi band. She said they do karaōke on Saturday also but that Friday is her favorite night. On the Sunday they had $ 2 beers, $ 3 import and margarita specials going. I asked about the digital coupons since there was a complaint, and I was told they could be used at anytime but that had to be used on regular meals. The lunch menu is already discounted. I wasn’t there during lunch but I think it’s good to point out. I can’t wait to go back now.

Great Tex-Mex!!! Got the enchilada trio(cheese, beef, & chicken) and it had excellent flavor. Also got a margarita on the rocks for happy hour, and they didn’t skimp on the alcohol = happy camper. :)

This is my first time visiting Arroyo’s and it was alright. The place is pretty big and it looks like they have a stage for live music so it might be good for groups. They have a bar with pool tables as well. We came on a Tuesday night and got seated right away. Our waitress was really nice and our food was out quickly. The food is alright but that’s about it, just alright. The salsa was nice and had a smoky flavor and the bean dip was really good too. You do get big portions but like my boyfriend said, «I’d rather have smaller portions and better quality.» Overall it’s an alright place and we’ll probably be back to try it out again!

We have eaten here a few times and like the food, but the service this evening was embarrassing. The waitress tipped her own tray and spilled an entire large soda on my 11 year old daughter and her IPad. She was drenched and her IPad sticky. I completely understand that accidents happen, but the only acknowledgement that was offered was an empty, embarrassed apology from the waitress. There is no better time to show great service than when something goes wrong. We were not approached by a manager or even offered some sort of discount or dessert as a simple apology. Doubtful we will be back. I would avoid this restaurant.

My girlfriend and I genuinely like this place! It was very spacious. They had a mariachi band the second time we came, it was very festive. The servers are nice enough too, and you’ll definitely be full by the time you leave. It also feels authentic. Btw, there has to be a 5 $ minimum on your card. An average entrée is about 9 $ though so you should be good!

Really 1.5, horchata is good and taco al carbon was good, but the beans and rice were barely above room temperature. My enchiladas plate was hot, but none of her food was. My wife’s plate was cold and the tortillas on her chicken flat as were soggy. Last, but not leadt, the food is tex-mex.

Absolutely LOVE this large, open place!!! Great food, prompt service, friendly staff every time we’ve been. Servings are always more than generous. Salsa and the black bean dip are excellent as are the chips. Perfect place to sit and chill. Everything on the menu IS authentic. VERY busy on the weekends. Closed Mondays. Best time to go is Tuesday — Thursday before 6PM.

I’m giving this restaurant 2 stars not because of the food but because of the way we were treated. My dad, brother and I went to lunch here with a Groupon for $ 40 that my mom had purchased so the 4 of us could eat here together. Before we could use it she unexpectedly passed away. We didn’t realize the Groupon was only good for $ 40 if 4 people dined until the manager came over to tell us that it was but she’d honor it «this time.» My dad explained we didn’t know that and that his wife had bought it and had she not died she would’ve been sitting there in the empty 4th seat. The manager went on saying she would honor it only this time. Then the waitress did everything she could to show us she was ready for us to leave her table; interrupting our conversations to clear the chips and salsa we were still munching on, not refilling drinks, etc. The Groupon thing was an honest mistake and trust me, we would have absolutely loved for our Mom to have been there instead of being reminded by the manager that we were now a party of 3.

The food is great. The service sucks… super slow… it apparently stops when you ask for a to go box. Patient patrons only. :)

Great ritas! They were 3 bucks on a Sunday. Score! They also have a stage for karaōke. The service is a little hit or miss. I should not have to flag you down for more water, salsa etc. Very good homemade corn tortillas. The fajitas are tasty with chargrilled chicken. Some dishes need work, their chicken tacos were dry & lacking flavor. Lots of competition in the area so this place could improve on a few items but I like the vibe! Very traditional & I just may come back for some karaōke action.

First time visit this Mother’s Day. Ordered Molecajete for 2. Very good. Fajitas were good. Quesadilla was good. Salsa was excellent. Mother-in-law said enchiladas were ok. We were 6 people and all agreed we liked it and would come again if we were in the area. We live 30 minutes away. Definitely worth a try. Lastly: to me «Authentic Mexican» means food and ambience you could expect in Mexico. It was. The food was very good, and kids do run around, there isn’t background music and sometimes mistakes are made. It’s simple and it’s food. It’s not Chili’s or some other similar place and I am happy. It’s all about the food.

First time going here I was unsure if they were even open or not. I was the only one in the restaurant for lunch which seemed odd. I ordered the fajita beef and cheese enchiladas. I would say the fajitas were pretty decent as well as the enchiladas. the rice was very bland. the service was awful. I felt as if I was in the way. I was not impressed with the salsa but I prefer a spicier salsa. They do also provide charro beans with the salsa. I may end up giving them another chance one day.

*Update* Initially I really liked this place, despite it’s faults. Its a new restaurant they’ll fix this or that right? They haven’t. First there is absolutely no ATMOSPHERE here. It feels and sounds like a cafeteria. Dishes and silverware clanking. No music playing, TVs playing sports which you can’t hear. It’s pretty lame. The bar is boring. Why not place the two random tvs you have in the dining room that serve purpose and put them in the bar? Play some music? It is so stale in there. SECOND. There is ALWAYS kid running around somewhere. Whether it is the owners family’s kids running around or the owner not stopping guests kids from running around, there is always a kid running around. Last week they allowed a party’s kids(at least ten kids) to run and jump around the stage. It was so loud. No music sounding like a cafeteria with kids screaming. How could the owner or staff not put and end to that? Why would I go to your happy hour if I can’t ENJOY my drink? I hate to post a negative review, but come on… And my tortillas were cold! Updating Review From FOUR to TWOSTARS One of the very VERY few places I have ever been to that makes fresh corn tortillas. Good food at a good price. Half Price fajita Thursdays

I loved the food here and the bartender rocks too! A Texican friend of mine called me up and said«you wanna see what authentic Mexican food tastes like?». He stumbled upon this place because he works nearby and he told me its tastes like the food his Abuelita(grandma) used to make. He recommended the Guiso de Puerco so that’s what I got. I could take a bath in the rich red sauce from this dish! I can’t explain it but there were layers and layers of flavor from mild chiles to maybe some cinnamon notes almost like a red version of mole. And the pork was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. OH. SO. YUMMY. I have thought about this dish several times this week alone. The bartender, his name is José, mixed up some pretty fancy drinks including my skinny cucumber margarita made with organic agave nectar. I enjoyed chatting with him and hearing his stories. He taught me all about agave too! Prices here are reasonable. Atmosphere is somewhat simple like many other locally-owned Mexican joints. The food here surpasses those others though. You could taste the love. I’m going back soon but I can’t promise I’ll try something new because I dream about that guiso de Puerco. Ahhhh.
