I have been going to Ann for almost 14 years — in fact, before she opened Amazen Salon. My husband has been going to Michelle for the same amount of time. Both are excellent! They are knowledgeable and will do whatever you ask, or make suggestions if that works for you. They aim to please. In addition, their prices are very reasonable — we are a family of four. They have also done my daughter’s hair for her communion, 8th grade dance, and junior prom — each time very different and utterly stunning. Plus, everyone is so pleasant at Amazen Salon. You can’t go wrong here.

The 4 stars are for the hair stylists only. I have never used any of their other spa services. I have to agree that the stylists have gotten better, whether it was a change in staff or what, I don’t know. I’ve been going here two years. I only go maybe twice a year since I’m a nursing student and super busy so no time to go more often. I only ever walk in and almost every time they’ve been able to accommodate me. I’ve seen Krysta, l and today I saw Shauna. I’ve also been to Ann once. They all have done a fabulous job and I’ll keep going back. I’ve had a hard time finding a good stylist so I’m really happy that any of them can do a nice job, no matter who takes me on. I should mention I don’t get anything special done just wash, cut, dry.

Katlyn is an amazing stylist and she is very good and helping to create a style that you want. She has been cutting my hair for a little over a year and she recently did my daughters hair for a gymnastics competition and it was the talk of the team. It was amazing. Double french braid with a bun in the back. If you are a bride, going to a prom or looking for a change in style, Katlyn is the best you will find in this area.

Thank goodness for the staff change, or else this would have happily given a 1 star review since you can’t give zeros. I went upon first moving up to NH to live with my now fiancé. I realize I went there slightly over 4 years ago, which is why I want to talk about my orginal experience, and then what I experienced 3 years later, what a difference! Finding a good stylist can be tough to do. So I book an apt. and go in thinking I was just going to get a trim, I got talked into blonde highlights, and having had them before I decided to give it a go. Now mind you, the girl styling my hair had what we call the«skunk» look. She rocked it, but not my cup of tea. The manager/owner of the salon kept milling around and was trying to help the inexperienced stylist with the proper color. End results… SKUNKHEAD. The«blonde» was legit platinum mixed with old lady gray/white hair. I looked and felt like dog shit. The manager came right over and kept smoothing cream into my hair to make it «shiney» as if that was the effing issue! I should have been wary to begin with since I was the only client. They charged me 50 bucks… no wonder why, they were probably afraid I was going to complain or have a freak out. I feel bad for the innocents that will have their hair ravaged by the stylist who did mine, hopefully she’s had more schooling/training by now and has stepped her game up. But now there’s Krystal!!! And she rocks out, she does a very good job. She is still learning but get’s it done right and she seems good with color also. I am not sure of the other stylists, but at least the other one isn’t there anymore. So if you go, ask for her!
