I booked here for my wedding day on the advice of my sister in law that had her hair done here on her wedding day 7 months prior. Her hair looked great so I figured mine would, too. What I didn’t take into account was that my sister in law didn’t have a wedding budget so $ 200 for«bridal hair» was nothing to her! I was astounded at the price! But I figured for $ 200, I’m gonna walk out looking and feeling like a BRIDE after people making a fuss out of each hair on my head worthy of my dropping $ 200. It came as a disappointment to me since I was expecting more attention, more detail, more time spent-just more of everything if I had to pay the«bride» price. I was in and out in 30 minutes. No joke, 30 minutes! I paid $ 200 for«bride» hair for 30 minutes worth of «work». The other stylists took longer on my mother and sister than they did on me, veil and all. The updo itself wasn’t anything left to be desired. As a bride, you are so overwhelmed on your wedding day. I could have sat there and cried over my hair and told her to start over(who has the time for that?) or sucked it up and left to go home and get in my gown. I got better attention at smaller less expensive salons where I was a bridesmaid. I literally could have lied to the stylist and told her I was a bridesmaid and saved myself $ 125. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. Brides beware-go elsewhere and get that attention you deserve especially if you’re dropping that kind of money! Unless you’re like my sister in law ;))

My hairdresser for 10 years moved to Florida. I tried two salons in Plainview and I was only partially satisfied. One did a fantastic very modern haircut which being a senior citizen really did not suit me. At the other salon the hairdresser did great color but horrible cut. I was very discouraged. I am in an online closed group and this group recommended Maritza for a haircut and blowouts and Angela for color. I am extremeely happy with my color and beautiful haircut. Both haridressers are marvelous. They are with Two Stephen Salon for many years. The salon is very welcoming. The prices are $$. I found their prices reasonable for the quality of the work.

Kudos to Donna for her amazing talent with up dos. Also to Lisa for her ability to really listen and give her clients the cuts they want. I’ve been coming to this salon for several years now and have never been disappointed. Props to Karen Loree for magical makeup artistry. She turned me into a movie star for my son’s wedding!

I have been a customer of this salon for for many years. I found them by chance on a Sunday which was the only time I was ever available to get to a salon and haven’t left since. Teresa has managed to help tame and nurture my crazy frizzy hair over the years and Jen has somehow managed to cover my aging hair as it has gone white with a natural look that no one seems to think is color. They have become friends and are like family to me. As someone else said in a previous post, there is no attitude in this salon, just warm talented stylists, colorist and staff who care that you look your best when you leave.

I have been getting my haircut at Two Stephen Street for many years… Judy cuts my hair, as well as my, husband, and my son… She is always prompt and very accommodating no matter how busy she is, she will always work us into her schedule. Judy did my hair for my wedding. It was simply gorgeous… Maritza, Donna & Teresa, took care of my bridal party’s hair as well. I couldn’t have been happier with how I looked on my special day, and my girls looked fabulous as well! Karen Loree and her makeup staff did an amazing job on our makeup!!! Suzette and the rest of the staff at the reception area are always attentive and make you feel at home whenever you go to the salon. Great place!!!

Terrible salon, last remodeled in the 70s(which is probably the last time any of the staff attended an educational program). Untalented unimaginative stylists. Spend your money elsewhere and get better looking hair. If you look at the other reviews, they’re all people who have been going there for years. I’d say they’re just stuck in a rut.

I’ve gotten so many haircuts here to count and have always been very satisfied. All of the employees are really friendly and are able to style and cut your hair the way that you request. They also have reasonable prices relative to hair salons in the area. You also will never have to wait, which is a plus as well!

Really nice staff and place. They always do a great job and are super accommodating. Unlike other salons in Nassau County, there is no attitude!

They give good haircuts but the people here are so rude the person who USED to cut my hair was moody. This place never takes you on time and I moved to a better salon who is better than this this place is terrible awful bad and horrible

I’ve been going here since I was a kid. The staff is attentive and really professional. No crazy gossiping or inappropriate convos like in some other salons. The place is clean and newly renovated. I’ve never had a bad color or cut. Tell them what you want and they will set you up with the right stylist. I always use Barbara for color, but the entire color department is well trained and does great work. I have never waited long for my appointment. The front desk staff is accomodating and the coffee and bagels on weekends is a nice addition. I’ve never been disappointed here.

Just returned here again to have my hair done as a bridesmaid. I again had Judy do my updo. She did a great job very quickly. I asked her to do the same hair she did for my wedding last year, just with the updo moved to the back instead of on the side. I showed her one picture and she remembered it exactly and executed it perfectly. It looked gorgeous and didn’t fall or frizz. I was very comfortable for the entire long day and night of the event and did not worry for a second about my hair. Thanks Judy!

I love this place. I’ve been going here forever. They’re really busy, but you can always get an appointment at your first or second choice time. My favorite stylist is Maritza. I truly don’t understand how she remembers every hair cut I’ve gotten, but somehow she always remembers what she did to my hair months or even years ago. Also, I have a weird schedule and I’m not so great at remembering to make appointments, so occasionally if I can’t get Maritza I’ll go to another stylist. I think I’ve been to three or four other stylists, and each of them has done a great job on my hair. Bonus: in the ten or so years I’ve been going here, the price of a hair cut has only gone up a few dollars, which is pretty awesome considering how prices of everything else have been going up these days. Pro tip: Bring cash. They do NOT accept credit cards.

So I can’t believe I am first reviewer, since I am thirty-flurf and have been getting my hairs cut here since I was a small child. I got my prom hair here, my «Rachel» haircut, and most recently my fabulous wedding hair. Both my sister and I love Maritza — she is awesome for cuts and blowouts. I took off one star, because they do not take credit cards. I mean, come on now. Its 2012.
