Mr Joe’s Pizzeria & Ristorante

Great Service and food especially by one of the waitresses. She just started and is doing amazing. If you want great service and the best waitress, ask for Giselle. She is the best. She tries very hard and gets the job done. The food was amazing. Everything was timed perfectly.

I’ve been going to Mr. Joe’s since it opened, but I doubt I will be going back. The service and quality of food has decreased steadily over the past year or so and my recent trips there have been very disappointing.
I used to be a big fan of their buffalo chicken pie, but the slices got much smaller, with much less chicken and barely any sauce. The last time I had it delivered, it arrived cold, chewy and late.
I ordered some food today around lunch time for pick– up. Once I got there, the guy at the counter realized he left it all in the oven too long. My food was burnt, so I had to wait around another 20 mins while they remade the pizza and the rest of my order. When I got home I was even more aggravated because the new slices weren’t cooked long enough, and the rice ball was burnt and disgusting.
I was a regular customer here, but unfortunately it just keeps getting worse. There are better pizza places in the neighborhood, I won’t be going back.

IT was Saturday night and we decided to try this restaurant as the pizza is very good. We had a very enthusiastic server who made sure I had two cups of fresh brewed coffee. Often the coffee pot is sitting for an hour getting more bitter. That was not the case here
The veal parmesan was very high quality and tasty. Salads were extremely generous and fresh. Stuffed mushrooms were just fine.

Excellent pizza. Service from both staff and owner are very stand offish. Dinner plates are not good as other reviewers have explained. Go for the delicious slices. Pass this place for anything more.

3 words for my linguine pomodoro: LONG BLACK HAIR.
I’ve lived in Plainview all my life and this Italian restaurant/​pizzeria has changed owners and names on quite a few occasions… based on my experience today, i’m eagerly anticipating the next régime change.
Menu is too small, food took too long/​sucked, and the veal Frances was bathed in sauce that was the consistency of Elmers glue. People at the next table looked miserable and left huffing and puffing. My 3 year old nephew, who’s a healthy eater to say the least, ate almost none of his kiddie menu pasta with vodka sauce.
Take my advice: go to pasta-​eria.

We ordered pizza for a business meeting. Scheduled delivery for the time of the meeting and it arrived cold. Was embarrassed to serve it to our guests. Not again

2 ½ stars… The pizza is pretty good and they’ve increased the variety of toppings (BBQ chicken, Marsala, Fresh Mozz & tomato with Balsamic Glaze, etc). Specialty slices are pricey. Tried the food a couple of times and I felt like I could’ve made it better @home!

Good food but… The owner just doesn’t seem to care about his customers. So I stopped going.

Ordered a pizza pie sat down with my friend took a bite, it was the worst pie I have ever had. It was like eating the cardboard box with cheese and tomato. Little Vincent’s pizza in huntington still the best.

Always great food. The waiter was really nice and had a great sense of humor and the service was fast. It’s a casual atmosphere and good Italian food. They also have a Nutella pizza which is so freakin delish that I would come here every day for it. Tons of pizza options as well!

We love the grandma pie, it is probably one of the best pizza’s we have ever had. The regular pie is very good also. Delivery is usually very fast and service is excellent

Went to Mr. Joes with a large group over the weekend and we enjoyed our visit.
The service was friendly and prompt. Appetizers were delicious and everyone seemed to enjoy their entrees. I had the chicken scarpariello and it was prepared perfectly. Try the Nutella pizza. Yum!

This time my kids used the meatballs to play ping pong with. My pizza tasted spoiled and the chicken in my husbands salad was dried out and sparse.
There will be no «three strikes» for fear of our health.

We decided to give Mr. Joes a shot, since it’s right next to Shop Rite. When we walked in, we were greeted by a nice young lady, kind of pushing for us to sit down and try their food, so we did, since we had never eaten here before. She sat us, and asked what we’d like to drink, we said water. 15 minutes later (STILL WE HAD NO MENU) she came back with two empty glasses (which she had to fill up at the soda station by the counter), and some bread. I ordered the special lasagna of the day, and my SO ordered eggplant rollatini.
I really wish we had just left after we ordered, the review would have been more positive than it is.
Our food came out in a timely manner, and the waitress was very pleasant, seemed new to waitressing, but she was very nice.
The special of the day lasagna was unappetizing LOOKING from the second I saw it, about a half inch thick of lasagna noodles smushed together, and then a big mess of sauce, some more noodles, cheese, and peas. My SO’s plate looked okay, the sauce was red, the eggplants were fried and rolled looking.
The lasagna tasted old to me, but after more tasting, it seemed like they had built the lasagna the day before, and maybe cooked it the day of service, so it was water logged tasting, and had gritty layer of water cheese pasta stuff on each noodle.
The eggplant rollatini was very cheesy, the eggplant was fine, i guess, but the sauce literally tasted like it was pureed tomatoes, poured over the plate. No seasoning, NOTHING but tomatoes, pureed and heated up.
I don’t wish for any restaurant to fail, but this food definitely ensured that we will NEVER EVER give them business again. It is a beautiful pizzeria, the décor is great, i wish the food matched it.

This is like the 4^th or 5^th pizza place to this location in the last few years.
Unfortunately it is not any better than the rest that were here.
Went in and had a couple of Sicilian slices & a soda.
The pizza was just ok nothing special at all.
Dont think i would go back any time soon.

Ordered for delivery… only got cheesecake, cheese sticks, and 1 Mac n cheese ball (uhhh, cheese binge lol)
The cheese sticks weren’t hot, so kinda hard… but popped em in the micro for a few seconds and they were alright.
Mac n cheese ball…10 thumbs uppp! Awesome!!!
VERY good cheesecake… obviously homemade!!! Yummmm!

Must agree with 1^st critic. Went in with my kids simply for pizza. Regular slices were small and not very tasty. Son had two sicilian slices, kind of a mess, but decent. too think though. Daughter had a pasta slice. There was some weird film on it, but weirdest thing was the onions they put in and on it. She was picking them out and then just gave up after half a slice. WAY to many other good pizza places in area to go back to Joe’s…Marios, Caruso’s, Villa Monte and more…
Even heard one guy behind counter say to another something like… remember we offer the heros we make, not what they want us to make.

Very Disappointing. I had eaten in this Pizzeria many times before under the pervious management and was satisfied, However I will not be back to Mr. Joe’s. I placed my order for takeout. When I got home and opened my meal I was VERY disappointed.
The Antipasto consisted of 4 slices of meat, 3 olives, 1 small tomato quartered, and a slice of cheese with no dressing. I could have made something better at the deli counter of Shoprite. Of the 3 orders 2 of them were wrong. I was asked what type of pasta I wanted and ordered them with penne, they were received with spaghetti. In addition, the sauce tasted like it had come from a jar. When you go to an Italian restaurant, you expect to get restaurant quality, this was not. Save yourself the disappointment and buy your own ragu.
