Food is incredible. I’ve been here a few times now and have tried many things. The drinks are excellent too, just on the expensive side. Wish they had a happy hour menu of some sort, it can get pricey. The wait staff is very friendly and can definitely help you out with some recommendations.

We were regulars, eating at Morrison’s about once a week until they changed the menu. They still have the popular favorites, but they took off the Mahi Mahi and a few other meals we liked. We go about once every 2 months now.

This is a hidden gem that’s definitely worth checking out! It’s a little pricey as there didn’t seem to be any happy hour specials(or maybe we just weren’t told what they are?) However, the food and drinks were really good. We split the kale dip and Burnt sprout leaves appetizers then got the fried chicken dinner-which the portion was huge! The appetizers were amazing and you can tell the fries were fresh. I ordered a watermelon drink that was really good but when I ordered a second, they ran out of the rum… how does a full bar completely run out of rum? But I went with the pear affair as my second choice and didn’t really love it but overall the food and service was good and I would come again!

I came here with two colleagues in suits, felt very over dressed but we got over that quickly. This place has a nice selection of draft and bottled beers which we enjoyed quite a bit. We started with the deep fried brussel sprouts; I usually like to bake mine to reduce fat but they are admittedly tasty peeled thin and fried. They season with vinegar to give them a nice«sea salt and vinegar» potato chip taste without being quite so heavy. I had the hot chicken, which was(according to my Southern friends) done just right expect for the fact that they used a large piece of Texas toast rather than Wonderbread to sit it on. It’s 4 nicely sized pieces of tasty fried chicken drizzled with hot sauce and crowned with a couple of pickle spears. I could not deal with a whole plate of fry so I had sauteed spinach instead, was pretty good if not great. My friends faired not quite as well. The pecan crusted chicken ordered by one friend was a little too sweet and worse off too dry for me. The seared ahi was a little better. As such my review is based on the hot chicken, and brussel sprouts, and the beer. Can’t fault the service either, our waitress was very attentive and prompt.

After now being a true regular, can’t speak more highly of this place! You won us over Morrison’s! Josh the chef really knows his stuff, excellent food time and time again. Kevin is the best server hands down. Has a great personality and knows your order before you can even open your mouth! Drinks are always on point as well!

TLDR: Unless you’re hanging by the bar, skip it. We walk in on Sunday around 5. Didn’t seem too busy. There were a couple of screaming kids which was a bummer. The hostess was nice and we scored a booth by the bar. The bartender seemed fun and knowledgable. Our waitress took our order for drinks and salads. A large group came on and I believe may have overwhelmed the staff. Our salads took over 20 minutes to arrive. I ordered a medium burger and the boy ordered fried chicken. When they arrived I didn’t have a knife to cut the large messy burger. I ordered beer and a knife. When the waitress delivered she asked if everything was ok and it looked alright so we agreed. Once I cut into the burger I saw it was raw. No one came to check in so I sat there while he ate his food. Now we began to argue because he thinks I should bring the food to the bar and I said that’s rude so now dinners ruined. He flags a different waitress and she takes it away. Later it comes back refired with a new piece of cheese… I ask for it to go as we are now in bad spirits and ready to leave. The waitress asks if I want her to wrap it and I said I’d do it. After looking it over I just left it… Too many children crying, not enough service and I didn’t eat dinner. The bartender seemed fun so I could imagine someone hanging at the bar. We paid the full bill and got out of dodge. Never to return.

This place was written up in newsday as one of the best gastropubs. It was very good. They had a nice selection of beers. I had a hamburger which was very tasty. The sweet potatoe fries were great!!!

«Satisfying food & drink»… Morry’s strives to deliver this with every experience here. I came here for the brunch based on reviews I’ve read and a fellow elite is a regular here so I decided to give it a try. You can brunch at Morrison’s every Sunday from 11 – 3. I decided to start off with a brunch classic — a Mimosa. I ordered the Chicken & Waffles which came with a maple bacon waffle and fried chicken. My bf got the«Bananas foster» challah French toast and the«Boring brekkie» which includes 3 eggs any style, ham or bacon & toast. They allowed me to get a kids-size«chunky monkey» pancake made with banana slices and chocolate chips cooked into it. The chicken and waffles were okay. The chicken lacked flavor so I requested hot sauce and proceeded to make A ketchup-hot sauce mix for dipping. The waffles were cold. Maybe a notch or two above Eggos’ quality. My daughters pancake was super thick– about a 2 – 3 inches to be exact. I guess that’s the style they go with. It was semi hard to cut because there was an overcooked layer on the bottom. The French toast was really good and so was the bacon and the eggs. I don’t dislike the place but I had higher expectations. I might be willing to give them another try but I honestly won’t be in a rush back over here. My waitress Desiree was super nice and really running around busy handling a lot of tables. I also made reservations because they seem to have a lot of loyal Sunday brunchers

This is truly a hidden gem on Long Island. The chef(Josh) is one of the most creative, passionate and artistic chefs in the area ! He should be on Diner’s, Drive –in’s and Dives. That’s how good the food is. When I looked at the menu, the first thing I said to my date was, «wow, this chef is the real deal». That is before I even tried any food. One drawback… PLEASESTARTSERVINGBUDWEISERFORUSREGULARFOLKSWHODON’T HAVESUCH A REFINEDBEERPALETTE. Definitely going back !

Such a great restaurant! We went for Sunday brunch and it was amazing. Kevin D was our server and he offered tips on drink selections and the menu. The drinks are strong, but tasty. The sangria has a cinnamon kick and the GBGB and The Snowday are perfect if you’re looking for something refreshing and strong… Very strong. Food is served in large portions. Highly suggesting the country fried chicken biscuits. Imagine chicken, eggs, cheese soaking in maple syrup. It was wonderful. The BBQ Benedict is another good option. Probably anything with the pulled pork is good. You won’t regret coming here for brunch. Parking could be a bit better.

Service is always great at this local gem. Fantastic beer selection goes hand in hand with a fantastic food menu. Don’t think I’ve ever ordered anything that didn’t make my face and my tummy smile. And the Sunday brunch? To die for. Stop reading reviews, and get to Morrisons! Sunday brunch is great. Chicken n waffles are a no brainier! Service from Kevin was top notch. A very funny guy.

Morrison’s has been a favorite spot to grab a great lunch in Plainview. The lunch menu is sure to please with a variety of options. One of my favorites is the create a combo for $ 12. You can to choose a main dish, along with a soup or salad and then a side. My go to lately has been the red rooster sandwich. And no visit is complete without sampling the spicy lobster egg rolls. One of my favorites. In addition to a great list of food options, Morrison’s has an extensive list of beers on tap which pair nicely with the menu. If you are looking for a nice place to grab some lunch in the Plainview area, give Morrison’s a try. They also have a dinner menu and offer brunch on Sunday’s, which I’ve heard nothing but great things about. Hoping to try that on the near future.

A great culinary surprise. Classic dishes with a modern twist. Loved the spicy lobster eggrolls. The seafood pot pie was also a tasty mix of mashed potatoes and a seafood bisque-esque filling with puff pastry on top. I’d like a pie crust on the bottom, but that’s just me being picky. For dessert we went with the delicious cookie dough skillet. Great meal topped off with a great dessert. Service was good too. Our waitress(Jeanine I think?) was very knowledgeable and helpful in recommending popular dishes. Overall, a great experience making us excited for a return visit.

This place serves simple food prepared very well. Have only been here two times but have enjoyed both visits. My favorite item is the pecan chicken– they give a huge slab of chicken breasted coated in this crunchy, sweet pecan crumble. The sides it comes with, Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes, are also satisfying. The drink options are also very good. This place is fast becoming one of the better dining options in(or near) Woodbury.

Big fan of the Morrison’s. Each time I come I find something else that I enjoy, which makes it difficult bc I’m a ‘find a good thing and order it every time’ kind of guy. Do yourself a favor and happy hour at the bar one of these days, as they have a fun selection of infused liquors and a great selection of brews on tap at a discount. My last visit I rocked an apple crisp sangria(I think?) type concoction, which was a special, and it was legit. Def perfect for the upcoming fall. Other items I will continue to order(and you should too) are the Burnt sprout leaves, Wings Pecan crusted chicken, Southwest guac(special: guac + bacon!), Bistro chicken sandwich and the Veggie burger. Pair these with a local craft brew and you’re golden. Do it! Bonus: trivia nights, tap takeovers and themed dinners happen often. Make sure to follow them on FB.

Finally stopped in for brunch! I’ve been hoping that the next time I eat here, it impressed. I wasn’t disappointed. We were the first ones in at 11am on a Sunday. They had build your own Bloody Mary’s for ten bucks, they had so many garnishes and a nice selection of alcohol choices(tequila, Crop’s organic tomato vodka, regular vodka and rum). I’m not a fan of Mary’s but it looks like such a fun option! I ordered the Country Benedict, it was DIVINE. The apple cider gravy was unbelievable, perfectly sweet, acidic and creamy dreamy. It was poured over my poached eggs which were atop nice slabs or pork belly, which laid on their delicious corn bread. It was served with home fries which had peppers in them so I only tasted the potato, while seasoned nicely, they were not at all crispy. Is there anyone that doesn’t prefer crispy home fries?! I have two minor criticisms, the pork belly was described as crispy, but wasn’t crispy enough, the middle could have rendered a bit more. And, one of the two poached eggs was a bit overdone. The meal was so rich that I won’t order it for a while, but it was just simply mouth watering, a must try! My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were described as maple bacon waffles, the flavors didn’t come through but they were still great tasting waffles. The fried chicken was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had, the breading was so tasty and the fry was perfect, inside was moist and tender. Good portion, too. Service was great as always!

So, I’m glad that something decent and interesting finally opened in Plainview. The beer selection is on point. They have an ever rotating selection of craft beers and take a lot of pride in getting some pretty impressive choices. The servers are also well versed on the beers, so they give you a nice education before you choose. The food is also excellent. Everything from the awesome tomato soup to steaks and specials, the food is seasonal and delicious. They have many specialty dinners with a creative menu and beer pairings. They also have a really fun trivia night. Oh and brunch. Sunday brunch is to die for. Sausage skillet is my recommendation. Overall, I’m really in love with this place. I’ve never been disappointed and I don’t think you will be either, unless you don’t like creative food and craft beer. If that’s the situation, then just head to the diner and eat some garbage. :)

Decided on a early dinner out this evening and ended up at Morrisons. Their tag line is «satisfying food & drink» and I have to say they always deliver. Whether you are a foodie or want a night out with the family you will be happy here. They have an inspiring selection of appetizers, main dishes and sides as well as an impressive beer list with a bunch of local favorites, great cocktails and wine. I’ve dined here multiple times for lunch and dinner, my wife and I even came for brunch one Sunday(if you come for brunch they have a cubano monte crisco that is awesome) and can never think of a bad experience. Food is always really good as is the service. I highly recommend the spicy lobster egg rolls for an appetizer, delicious. It’s on the smaller side and can get loud at times, especially if they are having trivia at the bar(Tuesdays). Dinner time they always seem busy, so it may be a good idea to make reservations. If not, grab a local brew at the bar and wait for a table. You’ll be happy you did.
