DONOTDOBUSINESSWITHWALSHLANDSCAPING! I would give them a minus if I could. They do not even deserve one star. We had a HORRIBLE experience with them. It all started out with some broken stoops in the backyard patio in a house we had just purchased. They were in need of repairs as the stoops were in such bad shape that water was leaking into the basement. So we called Walsh Landscaping after receiving their ad in the mailer thinking that they were a well-established and reputable company. Their«landscape architect» Bill Carlson, came out to assess the property in mid June. After we signed the contract for the repairs, we had a hard time reaching Bill to get him to commit to a start date. We played phone tag and emails back and forth multiple times, only to be told by Bill again and again that they were really behind schedule because of «all the rain we have been having». We waited patiently until the weather improved and there was no rain in the forecast for at least a 10 day stretch. After more phone calls and us «chasing» Bill, he finally gave us a start date. Two days prior to starting, Bill sent us an email to say that the work on our patio was pushed back yet another day. When we called to ask why, Bill just said that they were behind schedule but that the work on our property would definitely start on the day he had promised. He kept telling us how much we were going to like the work that his crew was going to do and what a wonderful team he had for us. Meanwhile, we had already paid one third of the total cost as a deposit for the proposed work in advance– at least a week prior. On the day that the repair was suppose to start, NOONE showed up. Bill was not reachable on the day of the scheduled repair, of course, because he went on vacation the day before and did NOT tell us that he was not going to be available. We only found out when we tried to contact him. Bill left the name of another guy, Ron Plonka, who was supposedly covering for him while he was on vacation. We called Ron to see where the crew was only to be told he didn’t know, that he was just the middleman. Ron said he’d make some phone calls and get back to us right away. More than ONEHOUR later– no phone calls from Ron. When we got tired of waiting and decided to call Ron back, he said«oh I was just about to call you.» To make a long story short, Ron told us that NOCREW would be coming out on that day. In fact, no one would be coming out THISWEEK. Our repair was pushed back yet AGAIN till the following week. By this point, we had enough of their song and dance. We fired them.
